  1. Isn't CS Jin lower tier than Lambda? Maybe you should go for Haku, I think he's OK against Bang. Jin does look interesting though... it looks like he's a real technical character now, have to time everything just right. Can't just spam D > ice car anymore.

  2. Oh, what if you do 3C > 214D and then some air juggles? Most Nu's do the wheel, but can't you do more off a gravity well?

  3. Geez calm down, you're just going to have 30 mains by the time both games come out. :P I would like to mess around with Tsubaki, and some others, but that's just messing around... being semi-competent. If we go by that then I play Hakumen, Nu, Jin, Ragna, Tager, Arakune, Noel, Bang, and Rachel. But Hakumen is the only one I play for real. Are you going to try and play all of them seriously? O_o

  4. PISCESSSS~~ I think her default style of play CAN be mindless, but you can take it above the call of duty too. I mean, when I use her half the time I just do nothing but 5DD > 4DD > 236D and they just die. I can pretty much zone out (hah GET IT) and still win. :P I like how with Hakumen you have to be deliberate and strategic. I don't mind though, isn't that the definition of a top tier? Like, any top tier character is top tier because you can get more reward with them than other characters, otherwise they wouldn't be top tier. I mainly use her to break my friends in since they don't fight that many Nu's. Whenever I'm trying to teach / train someone to beat something I use that tactic until they can beat it. Then I'll move onto a new move and see if they can handle that, etc. Also I laughed at Arcade's post on your wall. I've noticed every Nu player hates every other Nu player. :P

  5. The point of hop Tsubaki is that it gives you a ground overhead. Since you're in the air during your hop, you can do his air moves. And you can do hop Hotaru too, which is even better since it: 1) beats out almost everything. 2) now scares the crap out of them whenever you hop. 3) beats out mashers. 4) can combo afterwards. If you want to hit confirm, try 2B instead of 5A. Hm, speaking of combos... the first page is great, but I wish it would list the damage for each combo. It's hard to evaluate what combos you want outside of just doing every single one manually when you don't know how much damage they do.
  6. Did you get your friend into it? Maybe you can go on XBL. HINT HINT :P Haha, I am an expert at getting people into things. :P My friend isn't sure yet. He keeps alternating between wanting to play someone "interesting" and someone who's easy and straightforward.

  7. Ahh, OK. I was trying to do throw > j.C > j.2C > j.C > j.2C > 214D > 3C > 214D > more Thanks for the SECRET TECH. :P Hmm, in one of my videos Pisces did a corner combo and picked me up again using 2B... I'll have to hunt that down. For some reason I've been compelled to look at my Nu lately. Mainly because most of my existing combos can be made optimal just by adding a few swords here or there that were lacking.

  8. So basically, I need a new corner throw combo. Got any ideas?

  9. I think I figured out why I couldn't do it... I was trying to do it off a throw in the corner... it still doesn't work. But off just a lone 2C I can do it. I was going for throw > 2C > etc.

  10. Just a guess. :P Your name reminds me of what you get in Halo if you get a lot of kills in a row. A KILLIONARE

  11. I did not feel as though you were bothering me enough so I had to poke at you. :P As for what I'm up to... just working! Well, work and BlazBlue. I got my friend into the game recently and tonight was his first night on XBOX Live. He never had a console before and didn't know if he wanted one, so I got him BlazBlue thinking it might convince him (he played it at his friend's house). Now he's hooked!

  12. Yeah I know. I just thought it was hilarious how broken he is. :P

  13. how i beat tager? i swear it's 4.5 - 5.5 tager. damn you sledge!!!!
  14. Ah, OK. I keep getting greedy and trying to squeeze in every last hit. So I can do the max hits for the other j.C's? Or is it more about keeping the total amount of hits below a certain number? Well, I'll try out what you said, anyway. I played some Unlimited games with DeathDealer tonight. They were hilarious. I played normal Arakune VS Unlimited Bang, and I was still keeping ahead, but barely. Then he finally got me in the corner, but we were both almost dead and there was like 1 second left, so I burst to knock him away and win. BUT at that exact moment, he activated his astral, and it went through my burst for the win! ARGH :P Arakune > Unlimited Arakune lool

  15. ~! FRIENDS So what's up with you?

  16. I was thinking of asking for a stick for my birthday. :0 Still stuck doing schoolwork? I keep trying to do 2C > j.C > j.2C > j.C > j.2C > 214D with Nu and squeezing in as many hits as possible, but they always tech out before 214D. Do you know what the most amount of j.C / j.2C hits you can fit in before they tech out is? Sometimes I they get out after 20, other times I make it to 30, but they still tech out before 214D. Oh and you also can vary how many you hit with 2C, so maybe there's something there too... It's just something that bugs me. :P

  17. lolol, those prinnies are from Disgaea... I see you are ALSO a fan. Also you are a girl, it is easy to tell. :P

  18. I only used 2C to cut Arakune's curse clouds, and that's history now so...
  19. Sweet combos, Sophisticat. PASTE MORE!!!! Also, Izanagi, one of the combos that I started off with when I was just a Hakunub was 214B > 236A > 6C. The timing between 214B and 236A is a little tricky at first, but basically you have to put an equal amount of time between each hit, the two kicks and gurren. It's almost like a beat, 1, 2, 3. Speaking of 214B, there's something I was wondering... people always say using only the first hit helps damage scaling and such, or helps you get more damage, so I see people do renka (first hit only) > something else. But when I try it in training mode I always get more damage when I let Haku do both kicks. So where exactly does that bonus from using just the first ever come in? Or is it more for positioning, so you can keep them close to you before the second hit kicks them far away?
  20. Turtling... I wouldn't call the approach turtling... more like... controlling range... You have to be mindful of where she is most effective, then maneuver yourself between those ranges to keep her from taking full advantage. If you literally never attack and wait, then she can just mix you up all day, and eventually you will mess up. That doesn't mean you should just throw yourself into her swords though. You just have to wait for your opening.
  21. I noticed a difference in damage in some of my j.C loops while in training mode. Turns out starting the loop with j.C scales the damage a lot more. When I start with 5C, I can take out half of Nu's life with it. But starting from j.C makes it only 1/3 of her life. EDIT: Welp, I tested this in training mode to be sure and I was wrong. Disregard what I said. It does more damage off j.C, it was just the fact that Nu's health bar is scaled differently than Ragna's and other characters that threw me off.
  22. The combos might be easy (they still took a while for me lool), but actually being able to land them, dealing with your opponent's nonstop pressure, relying on the amount of stars you have for what you can do and being able to squeeze out as much as possible for each amount of stars that you might be using at the time, having a drive that isn't made for spamming and requires a lot of time and effort just to be able to have it be useful instead of having D as a dead button on your controller, needing to IB to take the most advantage of his defensive abilities, being able to play footsies safely and not get whupped for using unsafe moves (ie every move Hakumen has practically) and the matchups... the combo's might not be that hard but then you have to actually get to them too, like Nu or Arakune or Rachel. I don't know if I would say his LEARNING curve is hard, per se... unless you mean to play well. If you just mean pick up and play, then you can just run around and mash C and he'll beat a lot of people at first. What takes a while is getting comfortable with his movements and being able to navigate the barrage of bees and swords, taking advantage of his strengths and not being weighed down by his weaknesses.
  23. "Yeah. Next person who calls me a girl without providing conclusive evidence is going to get an attack penguin to the face." OMG U A GRL??

  24. Arakune and Carl definitely need different combos; half of them don't work on 'em. Which combos are you working on right now? I also feel like the j.C loop might require slightly different timing on certain characters, but that's for someone else to confirm, because I could just be imagining it. 99% chance I'm just dropping it.
