I picked up the VGA cords at Gamestop yesterday, then I hooked my XBOX up to it. (After taking a while to unhook the monitor's cords, that thing must have been soldered onto it.) The graphics were great. I don't know how I can do sound though... the sound comes out in red/white cords but there's no monitors on the speakers. I thought of using my Mac speakers but there's no headphone or speaker port on the XBOX. But it came with an adapter that goes into a headphone jack. Only thing is that the speakers need to plug INTO a spot, they don't give you a place to plug things into. I have an idea for that though. Anyway, it plays well, but I'm still not landing anything... Guess it wasn't lag after all. I've had a STROKE. Whatcha been up to? Oh right, you've got spring break, but we haven't played. :8/: I've been super busy with work lately though. I come home and fall asleep pretty early.

Well, I mean, it sounds like you don't play your XBOX in HD then, but SD, right? Since you'd have to use HDMI for it to be HD. I just want to hook it up and see if there's a difference from my normal HDTV. I'm about to hurl my controller through it at this rate anyway. :P I'd switch between the computer and 360 if I did use it, but that wouldn't take long.

It sounds complicated. #_# Wait, so I need a HDMI cord to use HD? Or does that XBOX VGA adapter work for it?

So, if I hook up the XBOX to my monitor, would it be in HD? BlazBlue is pretty blurry in SD. It would be fine with Halo though... Also, what do you use for sound?

How do you have your XBOX hooked to that monitor? A special adapter?

Does wakeup 360A/B work? I do that all the time with Tager and it works half the time, and sometimes it doesn't, but I'm not sure if I'm timing it wrong or if my opponents are just messing up. Because... aren't you invincible on wakeup? So you can get up through their move, then 360 them.

Ah, OK. Good... good. *steeples fingers* Here's another one for you: dealing with pressure. He says he just played Bang, and all he can do is just block and have Bang do a string on him, then he backs off and Bang just launches into another one. He can backdash but he just backdashes into another blockstring. Is the only way to do anything to IB > 360? Or something else? How do you keep people off you?

My brother is learning Tager, and he thinks that it's easy for people to mash out against Tager. What exactly can Tager do to deal with mashers? I thought 360A's invincibility frames would be good as a reversal or to punish that, but sometimes I get hit out of it...

I think there's merit to what you said about that neutral airdash, by the way. I had actually been thinking of it a while back but forgot until you brought it up. Watching my replays with you and Arcade, there were a lot of times where I'd IAD over through an opening and j.C, and it would BARELY miss because I was too far ahead. I was trying to figure out how I could land that hit, and thought if I was a little farther back... then I noticed that the IAD moves you forward a bit before the airdash occurs, whereas if you do a neutral airdash you can probably hit them. I haven't tested it yet though. The advantage IAD has is that it's faster, so the neutral airdash might not make it.

Well, that's why I asked if he was someone's alt account. I was just surprised he had so high a win ratio, so I figured he must be some beastly player going undercover or something. And yeah, he was using Act Parser all over the place, but it was unexpected so it was disorienting at first. I blocked it and owned him though. At first I was wondering if it was you or Arcade trolling me or something. :P

Hey, I fought that guy too! Is he like an alt account or something? I also fought a guy named DAH PROFESSOR that was level 33 but had like a level 95% win ratio, and he just burst out the gates coming for my neck. But I managed to perfect him. It's too bad we can't share replays we saved. And it's always puzzled me why we can only save 100.

Noel isn't that hard... it's a good match, it can go either way, but it depends on the Noel you're facing. If they turtle you can just gain stars... you can rush them down, it depends on their play style. The ones that are good at mixup are the ones to watch out for. If they use Optic Barrel, it's a free IAD.

Alright, I'll look at it. What Tager player was it? I also replied to you about that YouTube question by the way. I saw you on today and wanted to play but I somehow forgot how to do all my combos. #_# I'm working on getting the timing back... the more I'm playing though the worse I'm getting, it's like I'm going through a time warp.

Also I'm never playing at my family's house again.

Also, he has a lot of good corner specific combos that are awesome. You can get kind of creative there.

lol @ bottom post. Hakumen is super fun. I still can't do Haku's combos because they're hard but it took a few seconds to get Nu back in shape (i kno rite ). So next time I think I'll be able to hold you off! I can't do my Jin or Ragna combos either... I'm even messing up Inferno Divider... I'm basically in training mode right now trying to re-teach myself the muscle memory for some of the combos. I think it's lag on the TVs since: a) it happens every time I go home. b) I was doing fine until I switched TVs... But, who knows. I'll just have to pick it back up again. I can do the 623AA combo again, but more like 40% of the time instead of 90%. I find Litchi to be pretty easy. But if I VS a real good one that could change. Against her DP, you can just hop forward and punish too.

Tager? >_> Isn't that par for the course? :P I saved the Dourshi one, I just gotta record it.

Also the beauty of Haku's 623AA combo is that EVERYTHING goes into it, lolol. It's kind of like ultras in SF4... Eventually you can mix and match how you get into it and do it at the drop of a hat.

Did you try super jumping? You have to leave as soon as the hit lands. The j.2C after the airdash is a little tight too.

You could also try super jumping that j.2C.

Well, I've done it a thousand times before so I know what the problem is. It sounds like they're teching out before you can land 2C, right? That means your falling j.C is being landed too early.

No, not this time... (OK, except for like three seconds.) I'm starting to think there's lag on one of our TVs that throws my timing off or something... or just a curse.
