I think it had something to do with one of his normals being godlike and having a huge dizzy rate, so he could kill lots of people in one combo. but he had low health too, I think lower than chipp, so matches just come down to who touches the other person first.

maybe it's a cs2 glitch? apparently there's been quite a few glitches and I've never seen that before. also Super Augusta is Saturday.

she doesn't always get free oki with bubble. My favorite thing to do against platinum is neutral tech meaty bubble, instant block it and immediately 5A them in the face. It works like 90% of the time they do 3C > bubble midscreen. Heartcar is dumb as fuck though, the hitbox is enormous and it's air unblockable and does huge damage. Literally the only thing bad about it is being unsafe on block, but if it's RC'd at a certain distance they'll cross you up.

If you think she's going to try to auto pilot 2D out of your block strings, you can do two things by leaving intentional holes. the first is to throw out a 6A to sock her in the face, very rewarding but unsafe if it whiffed from being too far. You can also hold down back and press 2A once only. If she 2D's, you'll instant block it and can punish pretty much everything with another 2A. Otherwise, reset your pressure. The main learning curve for every newish player is to adapt to her 2D. Especially now that it does an easy 4k damage raw when it hits, Noels want to scrub it with it more than ever. Otherwise, Noel has decent normals and mix-up but Makoto's are better.

Makoto's 3C goes under Tsubaki's 236D. It's pretty hilarious.

this match-up got a lot harder imo. Lambda's dp was removed so her defensive options are pretty much gone without heat, but her offense got buffed tremendously. Plus, Makoto's 214C just plain sucks now, the trajectory is weird and you have to do a jA before you can barrier guard. So it's REALLY hard to stop Lambda's momentum from the beginning of the match. However, once you get close it's pretty much GG as lambda has no defense. Patience is more important than ever, you absolutely HAVE to wait for that one opening to win and it can be really frustrating.

I love CSII because you can't just IB > up back all day to escape crap. you can still do it to avoid stuff but there's simple ways to punish it, it actually carries RISK now. It's crazy.

carl's unblockables are cool D:< as for arakune... I still have difficulty grasping the fact that japanese players are so good they can block his 8 way fever mode mix-up. So godlike.

Ivysaur is seriously considering changing characters because carl is so stupid again I dunno what he's talking about though, I think he's great :D

didn't Kyaku switch to Platinum a while back? I remember him winning a tournament with her and he played amazingly. Quite a few characters are overpowered but not cripplingly so. Literally everyone but Tager can be gross as hell in this game. It's very refreshing.

if you're seriously going to switch characters then you should totally play Rachel. Bitch is crazy good. I kind of want to switch to Tsubaki. She plays extremely similarly to Makoto and I'm having a ton of fun with her. It's not like there's much for me to learn about Makoto anyway... other than slightly different combos and drive timing she didn't change.

jeeze makoto's drive feels weird as hell now I'm sure there is. It probably involves doing 2A > 5B > particle flare 2 hits > 2D LV3 > standard corner carry wall combo ending with 3 hit particle flare.

so I finally got home and played BBCSII, and my verdict is that netplay fucking sucks. Can't wait until the friday gathering.

oh yeah, does anyone want to go to the Tennessee tournament on the 28th? I had fun when I went last time other than the atrocious weather, but the drive isn't worth it for one person. It's about a four hour drive so I'll take a break at the halfway point but there's also a time zone change so we can leave a bit later. The scenery is very pretty. (I might go alone regardless, we'll see)

i hadn't thought about it yet. tourney starts at 1 and it takes a bit under 3 hours to drive there so we should probably meet at GT or something at 10:00 - 10:15.

I am definitely going whether or not blaze is there, if paul goes I'm sure he'd enter and so would ivysaur. that's quite a few people right there. do you have dru's phone number? I'd love to talk with him about this.

I know why he removed it but now that CSII is officially added i wonder if he'll add it back in. Would you 100% be going if it was? that may help convince. Also, we need to discuss rooming at CEO. There's no way I'm going if I have to drive 6 hours every day carpooling people to it from andrew's. Hotels are only 88.88 per night AFTER TAXES which is insanely low. When I get home I'm gonna go ahead and get a reservation. Who would be willing to stay and/or split the cost? I think my two friends donald and kirk would so at least 1 more would be ideal.
