Georgia: Home of final round ~ Find BB/GG Players!
Eshi replied to Smilax's topic in Offline Community
Waba isn't an arcade. :8/: -
I'd love to participate, assuming that the tourny won't be during finals week (Dec 7-11).

Does anyone plan on going to Icon Clash to play BB? I'm probably not going to do SFIV or Tekken -

I never played you on live because I can just play you on saturdays at waba. and I don't enjoy beating up on Tagers -
when you asked to do carl mirrors in 5 a while ago I was in training mode trying out new stuff and quickly forgot. Other than that, xCammy isn't actually my account, it's my little brother's. I don't have my own. So there's a good chance that if you sent other messages, he's reading and deleting them...

I didn't bother reading the frame data until now. That difference is huge. I'm not looking forward to relearning the timing of my loops though :8/:

what's the deal with all the XBL bannings? I'm out of the loop and I'm sad you don't have one anymore ;-; -
I'd been doing the double clap part but I haven't tried letting Nirvana deactivate first. I tried looking that up but couldn't find an explanation for exactly what it does. I'm sure it saves life, but how so and how much?
-
How viable is it for Tager to constantly throw escape during the throw loop until Nirvana dies? Does it take off more or less life than the throw loop? I feel like Nirvana dies fast as hell if they do and I barely do any damage in comparison.

If I had a ps2 stick then I would learn GGAC. Blazblue is a great game, it's just not as well balanced and doesn't have the crazy amount of depth GG has [yet]. I love it and hope more people come to Waba to play. Preferably on saturdays. -
yeeeah, that's happened to me before.
-
Ah, you're right. I guess I should say, why does Kyaku think that :8/: Is there a more widely accepted match-up reference than that single player opinion spreadsheet? Even if just for Carl.
-
Okay, so, apparently asking this question and discussing an explanation incites threads to be locked, so I'll ask here. I'm sure other Carl players know his match-ups best anyway. Why is it that, according to japanese player opinion, Jin has an advantage over Carl while Arakune doesn't? Also while on the subject, what do Carl's match-ups look like as a whole if he refrains from using the throw loop? I'm very interested in how significantly it affects his play.
-
I already understand why Jin might have a slight advantage in this match-up. My question is why Arakune wouldn't. His okizeme isn't nearly as gdlk as Jin's but if Arakune scores a knockdown then Carl's probably cursed and at a severe disadvantage anyway. I'm not even necessarily suggesting that Arakune's at an advantage, just that Jin and Arakune have the same standing. Jin's cross-ups are no better than Arakune's. Jin's mix-up is pretty terrible actually - his only ground overhead is mad slow, even slower than Arakune's 6A, and extremely punishable on block, unlike Arakune's 6A. Arakune's precurse pressure may be more limited, but it's a hell of a lot more rewarding on hit confirm. What do you mean by his basic attacks having huge holes, and what does that mean in this particular match-up? Also remember, Arakune really has no need to get in on this match-up. As I said, he can play keep away all day. Once he has a life lead he can go into turtle mode and force Carl to make a risky approach. Jin can play similarly with his 5D. They just seem so equal to me, I don't understand why only one has an advantage.
-
I have a seriously hard time understanding why Jin vs. Carl is in Jin's favor while Arakune vs. Carl is even. Can anyone explain? I'm under the impression that Arakune's damage and space control are above Jin's plus he can play keep away against Carl all day.
-
Haha, you weren't kidding. I guess Dio's not the Carl master he used to be
-
He wants it to be a command grab instead of a regular grab. I agree with that.
-
It's not as free when Carl has the offense but it's still pretty deeply in his favor. Huge hitbox and little mobility makes it easy to keep him sandwiched. It's much more fun though.
-
He wasn't at all implying that characters have advantage over Arakune, he was saying that every character has to be patient and not give up the instant they're cursed. Also this isn't 4chan.
-
An even more buffed version of iad kara cancel? It's already fun as hell to do so my enthusiasm for CS just doubled
-
Both players have to press Y or it won't work. You also have to be in the top 1500 leaderboard for overall matches.
-
I've improved my execution and match-up experience to the point that I generally won't ever infinite Tagers unless it's a tournament match. And I still get double perfects from time to time against good players.
-
Yeah. He wouldn't be Tager tier since he still has huge advantages against him without the infinite, but he'd still be as bad as or worse than Hakumen/Bang.
