close, it was zappa (Chonari) and not Dizzy.

cmash combos are easy... count 8 button hits and do a followup. And, Noel isn't the easiest to learn by far. Unlike Jin and Ragna she has some techniques that are quite difficult to execute such as jD cancels and haida loops.
-
There really isn't any reason to discuss it since there's no info on who or what is getting rebalanced, just that it might happen.
-
This was a quite informative, thanks for your efforts SJ! Just curious. What characters in CS are in a good place in terms of balance and feeling "complete"? Considering the possibility of a balance update for the console release, what are some of the individual aspects of litchi/bang/rachel/etc. that should be addressed to fix them? I'm mostly curious about bang, I know the least about him. (Directed to everyone not just SJ)

if you're talking about the post on SRK then that was from me, lol. I put that kenshuma's main was litchi, but I forgot Lord Knight made top eight and thought some random Nu made it. FunkyP is right, Lord Knight played all those characters in the tournament.
-
She probably needs full charge gauge or something equally situational to do it so it shouldn't affect your decision. But this thread is about discussing match-ups...
-
rofl @ Kenshuma's main still being Nu

I enjoyed watching the finals match but I agree they could have been better. I REALLY wanted wes to beat xcross because him vs. Zoog/Ivysaur would have been insanely hype.

As soon as I get enough money [very soon], I'm buying the Broken shirt. That's hilarious and I'll also buy any of those dustloop shirts, I don't care about that color because they're all sexy.
-
Actually I had absolutely no idea who you were, I was expecting some random noobie since it was so early in the tournament rofl. My hands started shaking because I couldn't believe I was risking getting eliminated so early You're a great player though, I'm glad that I lost to strong opponents and can't wait for the next time to play you in CS! You know, where I can't fall back on the infinite when you're about to beat me. Zoogstin - You know how hyped I was to finally get to meet you. Grats on second place, can't wait to see how much you stomp in CS. Wes - I still can't believe how insanely strong your Hakumen has become since we first met. You were by far the most hype player in the tourney and our matches taught me more about the Hakumen match-up than I ever knew. I hope to see you again at the next AWA... we'll completely destroy those BBCS scrubs :D Heidern - running BBCT and two different GG brackets must have been a hell of a lot of work. Major props for all the effort you put into it. I regret having to leave early, I would have loved to play you in the side event. Jan - I just want to say that you have an amazing Zangief. 5th place in that enormous SFIV bracket with everyone and their mother counter-picking Sagat must be hell. You're my hero @ Verjl, I don't know who you are but don't at all feel bad for making FR your first tournament. FRXII was my first despite being a major GG scrub, but I've never regretted getting to meet new friends and watching such incredibly strong players in person. It was my first exposure to competitive play and gave me the motivation I needed to improve.
-
And I got eliminated by my fourth match by the hakumen and litchi players that made top 8. There were supposed to be four carls damnit. :[
-
I dunno, I thought skeletal minion raping that arakune player with a Shippuu burst punish contended with it. Also I still hate you for eliminating me :8/:
-
BBCT was pretty awesome. Top 4 in the winners bracket: 3 Carls and a Tager.
-
Jais won't be here... T_T you probably don't remember me but last year was my first final round and I was a major anji scrub but you were nice to me anyway. I was looking forward to meeting you again!

One of my friends left his stick on a table at a tournament so he could go to the bathroom, some random idiot decided to borrow his stick without permission, then mashed on it so hard that it broke one of his buttons. It's not a bad thing to loan your stick to someone who needs it, I do it at tournies that are actually ran on xboxes, but watch it like a hawk at all times.

766 is sometimes necessary against thin characters, but you should usually be fine with a normal airdash. with plain 5B you can almost always air dash normally, 6B brings you too close sometimes.
-
To whom it may concern - I have my own new gamertag now. Add me if you want!

Congrats on your win! You're coming down for Final Round right? Any other Carl players gonna go to it? j/w cuz I definitely want to meet you cool people

I haven't seen that pic in a really long time

Georgia: Home of final round ~ Find BB/GG Players!

Or if she'll be tournament legal. -
Balance =/= good, contrary to popular belief. You can have a very balanced game that's very boring to watch *coughSFIVcough*, and vice versa. MvC2 falls under the latter category. Even if it has just as few entrants, it's WAY more interesting to watch than BBCT and always brings hype. Only thing I'm uncertain of is if being on PS3 hurts or improves it.
-
BBCT isn't exactly a popular game in Georgia. Or anywhere, for that matter.

This would not be a good weekend for me. Way too much work to catch up on. -
I sincerely hope you're not implying that CT is a better game than CS. Regardless, I heard that Wizard said they'd switch CS in if the console port is released at a reasonable time.

There aren't that many resets in CS he didn't already have in CT. The only one I can think of that's exclusive to CS is jB > delayed falling jC + 3]D[ unblockable. It could be that people aren't familiar with them because they're so used to seeing the infinite... however. He's not like Tager in that if you've seen his atomic collider reset once then you've seen it forever, he has TONS of different reset options at his disposal. Carl is not at all dependent on heat for his combos, but heat increases his mix-up and unblockable potential even more.
