Everyone in the thread was trying to determine a character whose metagame wasn't FRC-dependent because the OP wanted to know one, but I pointed out what I thought should've been obvious: this is unnecessary because the OP isn't going to care about the metagame. He's a casual player, and low-level play is never FRC-dependent no matter which character you pick.

To me it looked more like either an instant block or just some super armor as opposed to an automatic parry, although YouTube quality makes me quite unsure of either answer.

The logic...it is unbeatable....... <_< I think I can safely declare GGX:AE to be the least balanced Guilty Gear game in that Chipp wrecks everyone's shit hard. ^_^ Though 3v3 mode is pretty awesome and makes him a little better.

Awesome music for awesome characters. Top five pieces, in sequence: + -- -- -- -- Note that I prefer May's and Jam's themes in their GGX renditions, though the rest are indeed improved in X2. EDIT: Err, the rest of the 5 I linked here. The vast majority of the Guilty Gear soundtrack is better in GGX.

Oh, hell yeah, I remember that 23v23. There are some epic win streaks in there. If I recall correctly there's a Potemkin that gets 8 fricking kills in a row. One fucking third of the other team. <_<

So I decided to check out Shaq-Fu because it's supposed to be so bad. (Shaq-Fu fans: read as "so badass") So...............................is it just me or is the Control Setup feature in Options just for show? Because it seems to be ignoring everything I set up. Repeatedly. D:

Despite my general dislike of the GW series, I've always enjoyed this game. Rather rusty now, so I'ma have to get back into it. Deathscythe and Mercurius were my mains (aside from the brokenness that is Epyon; he's a secret character for a reason <_<). For such an old game, its mechanics have quite a bit of depth and the roster is fairly well balanced -- though I hate Wing with a passion. Also, first post and all that, wewt, hello, etc.
