  1. Have any theories on the Kaka clan's existence? Litchi likes to watch over them and she was a part of Sector Seven who is controlled by Kokonoe. I'm assuming it was an experimental thing, however, Kokonoe hates her father, Jubei, so why do this at all? Oh, and "Arakune is a colony of bacteria that formed that decided to join the tournament."
  2. The biggest problem with doing a Crescent Loop is leading into it from a combo. You can learn how to loop, and you can learn what leads into the loop, but the transition from a combo into the loop is the most ridiculous thing to ever master.
  3. Lambda Challenges 6~10: BnB made easy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uATvZfDqdQc
  4. Well some of the moves look very similar- I stopped direct comparisons after B moves. And by looking at the recent videos, I assumed the C moves were faster. They're already much better for combo potential (Pick ups with 2B)... Her corner loop is also brain-dead compared to ours.
  5. I have no idea what this matchup entails. If anyone wants to shed some light on Mu, then feel free to post- I will update accordingly. [Current matchup] Half of Mu's normals are relatively the same as Lambda's. Despite having slower C moves than ours, Mu's have better hitboxes and they lead into some of her best combos. This combined with her damage and steiners, makes her a capable pressure character. Mu's steiners support her rushdown gameplay very well; however, they also take time to set up. Keep her as busy as possible to prevent her from setting them up, and if she sets them up, put yourself in a situation where you can punish her for it. 5DD, 6DD(close), 4DD(far), j.2DD, 236B/C/D,C. Be weary of Mu's blockstring since she can set up steiners in the middle of it and then cancel it into her 63214C- either react fast or don't react at all. Luckily, if she's hit, then the steiners won't shoot initially. However, be aware that if you don't make it in time, that the steiner's lasers will crush ALL of Lambda's projectiles. If Mu starts shooting to her steiners, you can hit her out of the startup. If she succeeds, however, stay mobile. The Steiners track maybe 1/3 of a second behind the target's position. If you have the opportunity, attack her with jump cancellable moves and get out of there. Mu's diamond is her DP that hits all around her. If you ever are crazy enough to rush her down, don't be close enough to get hit by it- D moves are the way to go in this match. Conclusion: Not the hardest matchup, but certainly an active one at that. I believe this will end up being around 50-50.
  6. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11262956 vs Hakumen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdKwUJcq-n4 vs Mu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeV5FM5brsM vs Tager: omfg, this looks extremely similar to the shit I usually deal with against my friend... except Tager's not 360ing enough and Lambda isn't attacking with normals/gravity enough.
  7. Well say Tager does a 720: -If he lets go during the invincibility, he doesn't hit. -If he lets go after the wakeup, he doesn't hit because the opponent can jump it. Not that hard to time, right? It's very hard to time a counter to quick teching because no cues AND people have conditioned themselves to time counters against neutral/roll. I'd use it moreso than other techs unless the opponent is on the ground, next to me.
  8. 1/4 of a second. It's also grab invincible as you rise. So if you hate Bang or Tager's command grabs, do this to throw them off because there isn't any visual or audible cue. Also, if Tager is jumping 720C, Quick Rise will give you enough time for you to jump.
  9. Part 5 is up. There should be at least one more.
  10. Silly tricks that work on low level play. Something like Ice Car spam in CT. On competitive play, people know how to punish it. So those are the only applications for it? It'll beat something like Bang's 3C, right?
  11. 236A>4B? I don't know, 214D or 236B just sounds much more appealing, but conditioning your opponent doesn't sound bad. I just dislike how gimmicky it is- combo starter on low counter hit only... The only thing that makes 4B risky is that dumb first hit.
  12. Speaking of overheads. 4B. When 4B or not 4B- that is the question...
  13. This isn't going anywhere. =.=
  14. Skye, We're not trying to dodge practice, nor are we unfamiliar with the concepts you present. Human error will always be a factor- and it can be minimized. What some of us really want is anything... whether it be fresh, balanced, or improved. It's selfish, but you know what, it's a video game- we want to have as much fun as possible.
  15. In the Tager forums, their matchup is 60-40 their favor. In the Lambda forums, our matchup is 60-40 our favor. In Japanese Tager vs Lambda videos, you're not going to get an accurate representation of Tager potential- my friend is a Tager main and can 720C after perfect blocking the first hit of a blockstring 80% of the time. But as far as it goes, the matchup doesn't have enough details yet.
  16. ...Yeah, I actually stopped using Nu when playing CT because it made me feel guilty. I don't even know half the stuff I should for my secondaries... luckily I don't outright suck with them. Bang was perfectly fine as a mixup character. Heck, he's perfectly fine as a character now if his damage output was lessened. However, Litchi's pole in combos reminds me very much of Pumpkin and George in CT. I really want to see how they balance her in 6 months.
  17. Actually, 5D mixup was broken. 4D mixup isn't that bad because of the 236D nerf.
  18. And attempting to make Bang's Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan cost 100 Heat in the loketest and then retracting it wasn't some realization on their part that Bang was going to be OP. Yet, even with that realization, they let that shit slide anyway. Now Litchi was something they couldn't have predicted right off the bat... I don't know what they intended for Arakune. Besides, if you're standing around for a 4D (unless you're stalled from a 236D), you have some serious reaction time issues. I can understand blocking a powerful mixup such as Nu's is bs, but all they really needed to do was turn off some jump cancels on block.
  19. 6D is jump cancellable. 4D/5D are not. I would have at least liked them to keep 4D's jump cancel but having a high/low mixup between 236D (now slower than holy hell) and j.214D is apparently bad.
  20. I don't think there should be a CS Bang matchup because all it would say is "Keep running away, learn to block all of his mixup/crossups (and teleports), watch out for D counters, and cry when in a corner."
  21. Doesn't he need to JI in order to put 623B in a few of his combos? Or do you mean the BnB that leads to an air finish w/o 623B?
  22. I mean to use it as a gateway into understanding where blockstrings will lead and the usual reaction time that comes with it. Besides, I doubt many people will play him online over what I expect to see: Ragnas and Jins. People will probably start out as Bang, but soon realize that the hurdle of learning to jump install 623B and the necessity of the different wakeup tools 2A/6A/2B are too great for them, especially in possible lag. Scrubs don't choose tiers, they choose character difficulty.
  23. Remember, Heat can also play a very big role of getting inside as well. The best part about it is that you can use it to stop punish and possibly punish someone who jumped the gun. 50 Heat isn't useful if you can't get inside, so why not use it as a way in? And if I recall, Ragna is one of the most fluid characters to use RC with. Just remember that if you want to RC your mixup, your attacks should logically lead to a combo instead of a random, uncomboable hit.
  24. If and when you get a hold of the game, practice blocking him on Score Attack mode. It may seem like hell in the beginning and it might get predictable in the end, but remember that's what to expect from a below average Bang player mixup.
