It just gives much more movement options to Rachel, which is just great. What i'm wondering though is, does this effect happen when scoring a hit with the lotus that gives a horizontal wind boost, vertical boost, or both? Or a third lotus for this specific purpose altogether?

about that second picture though, it would seem that the wind isn't aligned correctly, but that's because the D button seems to have been pressed when rachel was on the left side, if you watch the video.

looking in further, if you look at http://youtu.be/PY5qQ50d27g?t=2m9s , I think we can see some incredibly strong ambiguous crossup potential with super fast high-low mixup, if done correctly. I absolutely love this.

And now for something REALLY interesting. As hinted by Kenja0, there seems to be some kind of autotarget wind while the opponent is under the effects of a lotus. The effect can be very clearly seen here : www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY5qQ50d27g with all sorts of wind directions that aren't the traditional 8-ways. If you look at it closely, it seems that when the special directions happen, the wind lines are aligned perfectly parallel to an imaginary line drawn between Rachel and her opponent. My hunch is that when under the effects of lotus, pressing 5D produces this autotarget wind.

I don't know if this has been reported yet, but in this video, http://youtu.be/35d9u-9R44A?t=1m22s , we can see that barrel lotus bats are affected by wind. I can't find the video, but I remember one where we can see that lotus bats can be winded backwards, so it seems that if you are willing to spend the wind, you can pretty much guarantee to get a bat on your opponent.

Yep, wind regen seems to start about 60 frames or something after using a wind we got pretty lucky to have that many matches on day 1, really. I wouldn't get my hopes up
