Hey I spend 25 Heat on that thing, it has to be able to do at least that much. It does on the first few active frames, then it shrinks vertically in order to extend its horizontal hit-box. Jin has all these pseudo-anti-airs, I just want a real anti-air dammit. 2C might get there in the next few iterations. I'm gonna miss 4.6K from DP D, 2D GC, and j.236D ;(

> DP D motion > Gets crossed up and gets the input backwards > Gets 214D > Hits people with it anyways lololol Oh man, that shit was hella fun Errol. Guile Theme and Jin scumbaggery everywhere.

@ Amadeous - Probably not removed but I don't see it in the "Game systems translation for the first location test" list in the news thread. -
He mad, couldn't even finish his set of ellipsis. We can play if you want, Errol, but I'm almost 90% sure that someone in the house is using the internet for something and that we're gonna lag like crazy.

I really can't see why they decided to ax IBs and Force Breaks. I could understand why they axed FRCs and Slash Back (too hard for newbs/lazy people like me) but the former two? -

Can't be any worse than Sol beating you with a gigantic cigarette lighter. -
It could happen, I'm a pessimist so I'll just go ahead and pre-order lol

The first thought that came to mind when I saw her was "dat Russian hat" lol I don't know, maybe she looks good in her artwork but then looks derpy in-game. Just like what you said about Bullet lol. -
Well it's not so much as them being "real bad players" as much as them "not being as good" when going by their match count. All I'm saying is don't be afraid of someone until after you've fought them. Now if you fight the guy and you get bodied then call it a day and hit training mode.

It's only about 12-20 more dollars depending on where you import. I probably wouldn't import myself if it cost about $80+ and then the shipping fee. Well, good luck with finding a job. 2 things... 1. Just because people have played several thousand matches more than you, does not actually mean that they're better than you. I've played some people that have played several thousand matches more than I have and I can still either body them or win against them fairly consistently. The same can be said about me and other players, I have several thousand matches more than they do and they could probably still body me. 2. Don't do what most players do: hop online/play other people after a few hours of practice in the first day and expect to win. Unless you're a fast learner or talented/experienced, you're just gonna get bodied. Give yourself a few days or so to get comfortable with the new changes and then hop online/challenge other people. You can still play them on the first day, just don't expect to win against people who have an idea of what they're doing.

"Look better"? I'm just gonna go ahead and say that the opponent can air tech out of 3C > 214B if done late in a combo, so there goes your potential knockdown. You basically have 3 options for mid-screen knockdown: 1. 5C > Sekkajin: Stagger, acts as a "forced wake-up". 2. 3C > 214B~C: You get the most Heat gain out of this one, I usually see people get as much as 9 Heat out of it but I'm not exactly sure how Heat gain works in this game. 3. 3C > Sekkajin: You get the most screen carriage out of this and you can punish people's rolls with 3C > Sekkajin, IAD j.2C Hizansen has similar risks when compared to Fubuki. Both cover a huge amount of space but both have a lot of recovery and are negative on block. In Hizansen's case, you're vulnerable and unable to perform any actions until you hit the ground and then you have 7 Frames of landing recovery. Uh, why do you think that j.D is a "free" cross-up? You can't cancel it into Ice Car anymore to TRY and get away from the opponent and I highly doubt that Jin can auto-correct himself after the j.D in CP. So that means that the Ice Blades will fire in the opposite direction and that Hizansen will whiff. Other than that, if you don't cancel j.D into anything, you will get punished for it since the frame data for it is the same as CSE's (29+5 landing recovery frames). In other words, you will have to spend 50 Heat in order to RC it if you don't want to get punished for it.

> Picks Terumi > Beats you with Terumi > Corpse stomps you > Corpse stomps you again thanks to Terumi's winning animation So, uh, why exactly can't (or won't) you import?

Loving Millia's new look. Don't know what to make out of this whole "time stoppin` RCs" mumbo-jumbo. I'll have to see it in action before making any comments. -
Just because people play BB (or anime fighters if you will) does not mean that they won't play mainstream/"big blockbusters" games. Don't know where you got that from... I don't look at games as I did back in the day due to time/budget constraints but I still plan on getting GTAV As for the US release date... ugh... count me out, I can't do a late Q1/Q2 release. I know that it's a tentative release date but it's not that farfetched for them to go for a release that late. Importing to the rescue! Yup, that's exactly what I meant. Mmm, I guess we'll find out for sure why that happens when we get our hands on the game in October.

Actually, I've seen that happen with moves that move the attacking character forward such as Plat's 6B or Heart Car, Jin's 214D(1), etc. I'll have to pay attention next time I see that and provide a link to it as I don't have a link for such examples at the moment.

Thank God, I kept seeing people get blown away by the Burst after their OD cancels so I was starting to doubt whether it actually worked or not lol
-
I'm almost 90% sure that people predict the Burst in CP as opposed to reacting to it but there are times where it really does seem like they've reacted to it. I've actually never seen someone bait a Burst with an OD cancel, they always end up getting hit by the Burst. It should be possible given the fact that an OD cancel has 5 frames of recovery and a Burst has a 6F start-up, not to mention the hit-stop from the previous move that landed. Do you have a link to that? I'm beginning to think that ODs lose their invincibility if used to cancel something.

GGs people, I'd love to keep going full retard with you guys but work in the morning D:

You're from Indy, huh? Add me if you ever want to play some matches and maybe some day we can even play offline. What part of Indy do you live in?
-
While that may be helpful for CSE and earlier BB iterations, it won't be as effective in CP. Bursts in CP have a 6F start-up while Bursts in CSE have a 22F start-up. Realistically speaking, you will not be able to react to those 6F Bursts, hell, it's tough enough as it is to react to the 22F Bursts in CSE. In CP, you'll have to predict when your opponent will Burst as opposed to reacting to it. That and there's 2 more reasons why "practicing to Burst bait during combo X" will not be as effective as you may think: 1. The opponent won't always Burst at the part of your combo where you can avoid the Burst through jump canceling or using a move that's either fully invulnerable or invulnerable to projectiles. 2. If the opponent Bursts while your chaining/linking one move to the other, you'll just get blown away since you're committing to the cancel. The best thing for you to know is what moves your opponent can jump cancel in order to avoid the Burst or if the opponent has any moves that have projectile or full-body invulnerability starting on frame 5 or less. The same goes for you knowing what moves you can jump cancel and what tools your character has for avoiding Bursts.

GGs twist of fate (or something like that)

I really don't see Celica as the type to want to cause harm to others. I actually hope that she's a white mage/summoner, have the aeons do her bidding while she casts healing and protective spells on both herself and her aeon... wait... wrong game. Ok, now I'm really curious as to how they're going to handle Celica if she were to be made a playable character. At this point, she seems like she has a higher chance of being a playable character than Saya what with all the story screen shots shown.
-
She will heal her opponent as a form of sand bagging. If that's not offensive then I don't what is.
