A Mash > 6B > F of G Nnnnnnngggggggh...
-
What's 3AB? The cross-under? If so, then yeah, since his counters catch cross-ups for free. In the other hand, it does fuck up his Hotaru input so it might be worth a shot from time to time.
-
Think of it as an auto-confirm. If he rolls, he'll get tagged by the 2A and you'll confirm into 5B. If it whiffs, you'll just recover. At least that's what I'm guessing he meant by that lol. It's simple really, if he has 2 stars, you have to be ready to bait Hotaru. If not then just 6B him or throw him for free damage if he decides to wake-up counter.
-
lol, shots fired The only good thing outta playing Tager is that 2D hits him pretty much everywhere lol. I wish we had an instant OH against him with j.2C. Oh well, I supposed I could just fuzzy j.2C > j.C him and mix it up with 2B and hope he isn't mashing 2C or churning butter

I actually hate the Tsbuaki match-up more than the Valk match-up lol. I really, really hate match-ups that involve a lot of RPS, more so than normally and those match-ups are: vs Noel, Tager, Lambda, Tsubaki, and maybe Hakumen. Then you have those brain-dead characters (Ragna and Arakune) and those that are really annoying and hard to hit (Hazama and Taokaka).
-
Nope, Japanese version. This guy has a Japanese 360.
-
Every character has something that makes you wanna hate them. Even Makoto is not exempt from this as her jabs and 6B are fast as fuck lol.
-
Which Platinum is giving you trouble here in Murika? lol You're entitled to hate on any character you want. I hate half of the cast XD
-
I know lol, I actually expected the Hakumen to fuck his shit up but he still 2-0'd him. That Platinum barely beat him though, Fenrichi is as beast as they come. Platinum is a tricky one: she has a couple of fuzzy setups, instant OHs, anti-jump out pressure, and good damage off most hit-confirms near and in the corner and it's pretty easy for her to react to Bursts with an RC since her stuff has quite a bit of hit-stun.
-
I liked that cross-up setup with 66 j.A > AD backwards j.2C > j.C > 5C > 5D. Also, lol, he's all like "get those Ragna 6Bs outta here, this ain't netplay". That Platinum though, he was on fire. His combos, his pressure, his decisions, everything was damn near perfect.
-
I hate it, that thing goes under my Jin j.C :< As for a P4U online thread, I'm guessing it'll get one yet people will ask for matches here as well as there lololol. If all goes well, I'll be able to play P4U this Saturday since one of the guys here got the early 360 version. Welp, better train that stick as I'd much rather play stick than on the 360 pad.
-
Mmm, that might just work. I'll have to give it a try when I get the game or just try out different layouts and see what works best. Push comes to shove, I force myself to learn stick. The good thing is that she doesn't have any DP or 632146 motions, those and IADs are the only things that give me trouble.
-
I'm shitty that I'm going to have to be forced to learn stick if I want to play Yukiko in P4. Dem buttons holds

YOU GO TO HELL, YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DAI Edit: lol Marvel, glad I quit that game when I did.

Probably not that tiny, probably about 3-4 frames. It never occurred to them to just back dash. One of them did IB > 720 me though lol.
-
He can but the window for him to do that is really tiny, even on IB. That and those two Tagers just panicked and pushed buttons and got themselves killed lol.
-
Dangerous combo... GGs to Star's room I swear, this guy is getting better if only very slightly, at a turtle's pace. Number of Tager's victim to the Platinum air tight block-string "infinite": 2
-
Yeah, I just tried it myself and Tager is not allowed to do anything during that blockstring, even on IB. I hope they don't somehow nerf j.B in the future or increase j.2C's start-up or decrease its hit-stun. We have to make the best out of that blockstring while we can. lol, opening Tager up with a 2A here and there and with those rising j.Bs should be no problem. Same goes for Hakumen lol. Edit: Just tried it again, this time with back dashes. If he back dashes after IB'ing j.B, j.2C will not tag him, his back dash I-frames last long enough to entirely dodge j.2C. The IB > back dash windows are fucking tiny though lol. Oh well, at the very least we won't have to worry about random 2C mash or butter churning from his end.
-
lol, I thought that he'd be able to IB > back dash or IB > 720 if he IB'd the j.2C but it turns out that the blockstring is air tight, even on IB XD I'll be trolling the shit out of Tagers with it in the future. I didn't do it because I seriously thought that I could get hurt if Tager IB'd the j.2C but since that theory has been debunked, fucks do not have to be given.
-
Although I don't play the character, I agree with Errol in theory. Sure the 214D I-frames kick in on frame 10 but that means that your timing has to be flawless. If you fail to time it correctly, you'll eat damage and you'll have wasted a Drive stock. Using a Drive stock to punish when you could just jump and punish for free and for added safety seems like a bad idea to me.
-
Good stuff Mac, I'll be sure to go over the thread and add some of that stuff. I have a good 30 minutes to play before I have to go to sleep. Any takers? No lag though Edit: Nevermind, no one's on @ Mac I would probably Barrier jump forward to fish for pretty much every option I mentioned lol. Probably not IAD backwards, I want to get in on Hakumen not give him space to run away lol.
-
I'd rather just tech, hold Barrier and react to the throw. You know the throw is coming so you just have to react to it, better than eating extra netplay damage lol. Good stuff on the counter bait with 6B, I forgot about that.

Mac, I know you're in here, give me feedback on the Jin vs Hakumen match-up thread I made.

Le finished, let me know if I overlooked anything.
