  1. Well that is bullshit, sorry to hear that. @Psycho - I'll probably hop on and play you. I owe you some matches. GGs to Garbage, I could go on and on about the stuff you need to work on but I feel like it falls on deaf ears (blind eyes?). I guess the reason why I don't like fighting your Plat is because I have to lower my level of thinking to match that of a flow charting, scrubby Plat. In the other hand, while I play your Relius, I'm actually learning stuff like when I should push buttons and when to look for the UB setup. I was looking forward to a 100-0 set but 70-0 is just as good, dat 7 lol.
  2. That's some fine combo video music right there.
  3. I think I'll take you up on that offer. Set a near specific time and I'll be there.
  4. Huh, I was half aware of that. If you do a max range 2B without dashing momentum, then the 5C will most likely whiff. What I didn't know is that 5B made it so that you won't whiff the 5C. Good to know, thanks.
  5. If you wanna look at it like that, then that works too. Whatever the case, if you push a non-reversal button, you're going to have a bad time lol.
  6. It's not that you have more time but more that by the time that you can react to the overhead, it will be too late to push a button. Well that's unless you have a 1 button, 1st frame reversal or if you can input a DP/reversal command that fast. In the other hand, standing up is damn near instantaneous. In light of that, instead of pushing a button, what I do is backdash. If the opponent's OH has enough recovery then I might even be able to push a button afterwards.
  7. That works if I have the bat equipped with Plat because it's a 1 button, 1st frame reversal. While I can react to the overhead and block it, if I try to push A it will be too late and I will get counter hit, specially with the couple of frames of input delay brought to you by netplay. Netplay, play responsibly. If he doesn't have the meter for a 720, then time your meaties right since 360s are not frame 1 reversals.
  8. More of a Plat thing from my experience. Since we're doing the Plat/Rachel comparison, I can say that I've fought way more Rachels who know what they're doing than Plats. The other popular characters are Ragna, Tager, and Noel, just because people find it extremely easy to try and derp their way through a match.
  9. Most people who use her just spam Heart Car like idiots and that alone is enough of an incentive for people to use her. I could probably count the people who actually know what to do with her on the fingers of one of my hands.
  10. I can do it but pushing the triangle and circle buttons at the same time with both my middle and ring fingers feels awkward as hell. That and I suffer from hypermobility so my fingers usually lock up and start hurting after a while lol.
  11. STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY YOUR REASONS, YOU SCUM Well I did sub her, so I just counter-picked that match-up lol. Just like I counter-pick Tagers with Plat It's not like I know she has the clear advantage or anything. <_< >_>
  12. I thought as much
  13. lol, I should give that a try sometime and see how it works out.
  14. Gelatea or some shit, he's actually not bad, he just mashes D like his life depends on it.
  15. lol, is it the same Noel from last night? GGs people Shoutouts to AznJohn refusing to fight me
  16. I'm not too worried about button mashing, not after playing DMC3 for years and doing Crazy Combo inputs in turbo mode lol.
  17. I'm thinking of something like this... Button 1: A+B+C Button 2: A+B Button 3: A+C Button 4: C+D Thumbstick 1: A+C+D (Burst), the one I'll use the least often... ... and then just either a manual input for B+D or Thumbstick 2 Dem macros lol
  18. I'll pretty much have to once my pad breaks down lol
  19. You got any proof? Like the exact amount of frame advantage? Sorry for my skepticism and I don't know how to test frame advantage/disadvantage lol.
  20. Really? I didn't know that, I thought that when a throw is teched you both go back to neutral. I use 66 5B(1) universally but I'll give it a test and see it if works. Edit: Nope, not enough range for either 66 5B or 66 2A and her hurt-box doesn't expand enough for a trade. Gonna mess around some more with this using other characters.
  21. Damn, I just read the gameplay primer and this game looks to be a bit complex with all the status effects and unique system elements as well as some borrowed elements from other games such as quick escape, EX attacks, and hops. I'm kinda mad about all those moves that require simultaneous button presses. I don't have enough shoulder buttons to set all those macros dammit lol.
  22. From what I'm understanding, the waggle works the same way as it did in CT. You just have to make sure that your final waggle ends up on the left side. Actually, Jin couldn't reset reliably off freezes because people waggle at different rates, so it would throw off your timing and leave you in dangerous situations. In the other hand, it makes thaw > reversal more dangerous since you don't know exactly when to bait it but in that same light, if they're not fast enough to waggle out and input a reversal then you get a free black beat. Oh boy, here comes the return of black (yellow) beat combos, not like I had enough of that shit during CT... Freeze resets are much more reliable in CS because you know the exact freeze duration time and you know exactly what moves will and will not work when used as resets.
  23. You could always do 66 5B(1), 66 2A or j.X to avoid it. There are a lot of characters who can beat Jin at that distance, you just have to know their options and your counters to those options.
  24. I have a childish and unreasonable hatred towards charge attacks, even if I can buffer them using block/hit-stun lol
