  1. Yeah, I got my copy, too. To be honest, I was way more hype over the BB/GG calendar they included! Swag!
  2. In the Carl mirror video, shortly after 1:12.
  3. And in case you're not following the general discussion thread, here's some footage of Carl: Carl vs. Carl Carl vs. Hakumen Carl vs. Amane
  4. According to the latest updates you can combo after Cantabile, but you need Nirvana set up already. There's notation for a combo that goes 5B > 6B > Cantabile > 2D > j.2C Allecan > sj.B > j.2C > j.B > j.C > 8D > [???] for about 4k damage. There is more stuff there, but the person who translated it for me wasn't sure he got everything right, so I'll leave a proper translation to somebody else.
  5. I'm curious about ASW's intended use for Cantabile if it can no longer be followed up with a combo. Depending on when it becomes techable maybe pseudo-oki?
  6. Not just a 1080 input. It's the followup to a 720, which is already a followup to another 720!
  7. Judging by the video, it looks that Carl did his 2B after 2D, and that's probably what caused the lack of bounce. The 5C afterwards actually did not connect, it had a blue beat -- possibly also a result of the 2B messing with 2D's bounce.
  8. Once they introduce Kokonoe as a playable character I will probably be drawing nothing but her in terms of BB fan art! To answer your questions: I mostly use Photoshop CS2, and I do indeed have a tablet: a Wacom Intuos 4.
  9. 「THE ROAD TO HOPE」 It's been a while since I posted anything on here... But recently I felt that itch and wanted to draw BlazBlue fan art again. I present Bang Shishigami and his two (not entirely voluntary) ninja disciples, Taokaka and Carl Clover. I love the idea of this unlikely trio fighting for truth and justice in Kagutsuchi! I was listening to this song on repeat while working on the picture, hence the title.
  10. You forgot the second picture they also posted on his birthday. I want one of those!
  11. And they got worse from CS! I did some hitbox comparisons the other day, and it's not pretty. ▲ CONTINUUM SHIFT ▲ CS EXTEND Almost all of his normals (including air ones) had their blue hitboxes extended like that...they made even 5C -- which was already prone to trading -- worse than before! It did feel like I'm trading more than I used to, and now I know why...
  12. The commentary on some of the BBCSEX gallery images leads me to believe that artists volunteer to submit birthday fan art, and if there's none for certain characters, ASW will request specific character artworks. Quote from one of Carl's birthday images: "For Jin's birthday, I practically had to beg people to draw him...but you...YOU Carl, all these people you've managed to gather on your birthday...you're one helluva kid. Happy birthday!" So it's less about the company being biased but about the preferences of the volunteers who draw these pictures. (Incidentally, isn't Carl's birthday next?)
  13. Did you try the dash jump cancel (669 input)? It travels twice the distance and I found it useful in some situations. It's no glide toss, but it adds variety to his movement options.
  14. Movie #3 is Ragna's true ending, #5 is Noel's true ending, #6 is Arakune's true ending, and #7 is Tsubaki's true ending. I can't remember where I got the CGs from, but try every character's gag reels -- each one has an illustration associated with it, and you need to unlock them again even if you already completed them in CS save file. Just follow the list I posted above and see if you're still missing any content after.
  15. There's indeed a few things you need to redo to unlock the artwork again even after importing the CS save file: Answer the questions from all five "Teach Me, Miss Litchi!" segments See the gag reels for all characters, i.e. everyone except Hakumen Complete the true ending for the following characters: Ragna, Noel, Arakune & Tsubaki (I believe you also need to clear the "True Ending" scenario again) Start Hazama's story mode until you see the introductory cutscene
  16. It lost the upper body invulnerability on the initial 4F, and the head invulnerability only lasts 10F instead of the entire animation. That's a significant (and well justified) nerf. Though I'm sure it'll still be a useful anti-air.
  17. It did in CS2, but I don't think it was ever employed much with how broken 6A was in that iteration.
  18. Whether or not cross-system play will be added later remains to be seen. The only official word I know of was on the European PlayStation blog -- somebody asked specifically if Vita can play vs. PS3, and this was the answer by Geraint Evans, the director of Arc System Works Europe:
  19. The artist is just as confused!
  20. I absolutely love the new Carl vs. Relius theme! The only songs I like more are "Weak Executioner" and maybe "Nightmare Fiction". I also second the notion that Carl should get a Relius palette -- I would totally don that. Anyway, I took a break from BlazBlue because I never warm up to Carl's playstyle in CS2. I do like what I'm seeing in Extend so far and will probably jump back into the fray once that game is out, so I think I'll lurk a little less on Dustloop, too. Before my little sabbatical I posted some of my BB fan art in this thread (which is in dire need of some new content), but I wanted to share this specific picture with my Carl Clover enthusiasts in this sub-forum as well. Cheers! 「CAT GOT YOUR TONGUE?」 06/26/10
  21. On top of Relius Clover as a playable character, balance changes, and a new announcer/system voice, the arcade version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend also includes the following: Survival Mode Refined Beginner Mode, called STYLISH Mode PSR reset and new method of PSR calculation Carl vs. Relius and Jin vs. Tsubaki music theme New medals and titles Source: Official BB Homepage
  22. "Yes, we are planning downloadable content," series producer Toshimichi Mori confirmed to Siliconera in an interview. Mori wouldn’t reveal the kind of downloadable content Arc System Works is planning for the game, though. I asked specifically about downloadable characters and Mori said, "that hasn’t been decided yet." Source: Siliconera
  23. The ground revolver table for Carl seems to be wrong about his 3C. It's listed as special cancel on hit and jump cancel yes, when it should be the other way around (special cancel yes and jump cancel on hit).
  24. The ground revolver table for Carl seems to be wrong about his 3C. It's listed as special cancel on hit and jump cancel yes, when it should be the other way around (special cancel yes and jump cancel on hit).
  25. It helps to know how crappy Carl's 5C hitbox is in this game. The only thing I can suggest is trying find that sweet spot where you hit him with your red box but he can't reach your blue box yet.
