  1. Wait, is it an overhead that comes out in 0 frames? Am I reading that right? That would be REALLY strong if the opponent can't change their block during the super flash.
  2. I noticed that with Lambda too. It's not too easy for Relius to get in, but once he does, he's there to stay. Also Relius vs. Hakumen looks like it's going to be a real test of patience for both players. I'm liking how Val Tus is shaping up to be a strong tool for Oki. I've seen a lot of players using it after a knockdown so the third hit will catch after a neutral tech and allow Relius to get back to pressuring.
  3. Well, I guess the best you could do would be to just make the thread and hopefully someone will start posting info in it. That's the biggest downside of playing the least used character, since a big discussion is less likely to happen and there are less people to contribute ideas. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
  4. Well, when a new character comes out, just about everyone interested in them will pick them up and try them for awhile, but more people will drop him as they find out that he's not quite their playstyle. What we'll end up with is about as many, if not a few less, than what most characters have in terms of how many people play him. This is what I have noticed, at least.
  5. Even if you don't like the pink outfit/green hair color, it would still make a great "why would you even choose that" color for shenanigans.
  6. I can see Relius being capable of being a character that hits hard or a character that can go for strong resets/oki. One style might later prove to be stronger than the other, but the possibility of both being viable adds some diversity to his character and should make it interesting to see which style people will lean toward over the course of a match. It's highly possible that one style may prove favorable over another depending on the matchup.
  7. This is so true. I remember when CT first came out and Carl was considered the worst character in the game, but that quickly changed. Also when CS1 came out, people said Hazama was looking kinda weak. I'm glad we're getting a healthy amount of videos so we can see what new stuff is being figured out.
  8. This sounds awesome, and it would at least bait a burst or CA, but would it be safe from something like Inferno Divider? I would imagine that he might get hit out of the air, unless it can be timed in a way to prevent that from happening. I'm concerned that waiting to confirm if they're blocking before going for the jC would cause you to be too late for the unblockable, since you would have to throw the low out early to ensure that it would be meaty and catch rolls.
  9. Anyone can jump out of it if you just go for it during pressure or on wakeup they could roll out of it unless, like C0R said about this one, it can catch roll tech. This is why setups are used for unblockables, even if it is during pressure as opposed to on wakeup. Unblockable =/= unavoidable.
  10. Just remember that Carl has had unblockables since CT but you don't see them used every game since they are not always the most practical thing to do depending on the circumstances. They will, of course, have their uses, but it would probably be best to use them sparingly so your opponent doesn't catch on to your gameplan.
  11. I'd imagine only a few days after the Japanese release (which is December 17th). That's how it's been for the previous releases, so I'm only assuming that it will be the case for CSE.
  12. I also think we should wait until at least close to the US release before making the matchup threads so they don't get filled with posts that would mostly be speculation. Just for the sake of keeping things organized and more orderly so people can quickly find info when it's needed.
  13. It looks like the vids in the last two posts are identical. I guess the vids are being uploaded to two different accounts.
  14. Even in Slash, Eddie was still powerful enough to be seen at the top of many tournament results. When played right, puppet characters can always be scary.
  15. I added a match vs. Arakune to the front post. I'll wait and see if you find them on youtube first, but if they don't get uploaded soon I'll just add the nico links to the front post.
  16. I think he would look cool with an Axl palette, and I don't think anyone else has one of Axl yet anyway.
  17. I'm curious as to what his GG reference palette is going to be.
  18. First post updated.
  19. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12498-Family-Man-Extraordinare-CSE-general-discussion&p=1156176&viewfull=1#post1156176
  20. The yellow outfit with the pink hair looks pretty cool and the pink one with green hair does as well, and I guess they both keep my theme of wearing pink outfits going. Do we have any images of how Ignis looks in each color?
  21. I can't wait to see some videos. I've been waiting since the very beginning of CS1 for Relius to be playable, and now he finally is.
  22. For those who didn't already see, CSE is going to hit arcades on October 5th, so we should start to see Relius footage then. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9792-BBCS-News-only.-Anything-else-TEMPBAN.-BBCS-Extend-for-arcade-PS3-360-Vita-december-17-(Japan)&p=1149388&viewfull=1#post1149388
  23. It would have to be j2D since you would still be in the air, but either way he should have a solid fuzzy guard. Also if he can instant overhead with jC, then he might be able to pick up into a meterless combo if j2D has enough hit stun to follow it up with a ground normal. Even if there isn't enough hit stun, an instant overhead should at least still lead to combos for 50 meter, which is still a good thing.
