i see what you did there. LK, how do you feel the current level of the top players in America (such as Dacidbro, CopperDabbit, Dsmoove, Omniscythe, 2GB Combo) compare to the japanese mid and top level players?
-
My point was that Makoto's dominance in CS2 is similiar to Bang and Litchi's in CS1. i don't think anybody will argue againist you that half of SBO being either bang or litchi was stupid. my comment about teams was because there were 32 teams last year (64 players) compared to the 32 single players this year. i was trying to imply that due to the number of entrants being much smaller, there is less of a chance for a character to have the same amount of dominance, especially in a game that has 3 more characters in it. But, like you calculated, Makoto is still in there

some guy was raging at me even though he proved my point correct with math.... i just don't understand sometimes.
-
21.7% is mighty close to 24% assuming 2 makoto more qualify 7/32 is still 21.8% which is still really close to the 24% of bang or litchi i honestly don't see how that is wrong ? unless 24% and 21% aren't very close to each other. (there are also more characters in this game)

Bang's pressure is ok. from my point of view... i'll do 5A 5B 2B for example and... First i'll look at the time on the clock, and then my stock of nails. if there is 85+ seconds, i'll usually avoid using nails unless i really need to. meaning, i'll jump cancel my 2B into... A. 9 jump B. iAD forward j4B C. 7 jump (won't do if magnetized) D. 2C (only if i think you won't ib/punish me, tager can always ib B buster 2C if they ib, which also beats the super crash unless i time it to frame trap, which isn't so easy anymore) iAD j4B is usually used on people that won't do anything about it (aka not so good players) because the risk v reward isn't high enough for me to feel safe doing it. doing jumpback airgrab (for every character) beats all of bang's more viable options and is a very good tool. rising jB/jC leads into no damage, so i don't know if that is much of a call out. tager airgrab recovers faster than most characters so its not that huge of a risk again it isn't a beat all kind of thing, but bang's call out to this isn't very good imo. bang's pressure is still decent though.

Dora qualified for SBO. get hype?! -
and there were only 32 entrants this year, compared to last year's 64 so the # of Makoto is actually almost worst than litchi/bang (probably will be when everything is done)
-
bang's command grab isn't very scary imo. (or good) maybe in the corner, but not really midscreen. his air command grab is a different story though.
-
i think it greatly helps that it isn't teams this year. # of makoto players would probably be alot greater
-
i can/will record BB teams too. I can even stream if there is a decent internet connection around. It'll probably happen at on Friday, but i don't have a clue on the time yet.
-
only on reaction. i'm pretty sold at it being 5.5 bang's favor
-
well, i honestly can't see how this matchup is even at all. can someone explain to me why it isn't in Bang's favor? it still seems a matter of bang having a better neutral game bang peeing on tager when he goes in. bang's ashura is now a real reversal (which wasn't true in CS1, both of which are punishable by 720 -5 in CS1) tager's pressure is still sad gadget finger isn't really in tager's favor still FRKZ/Bumpers mess tager up. tager specific bnb costs no nails. pretty sure tager has to block bnail crouching. tager has no air options, and no real solution to bang's air tick command grab setups (Bang has to worker harder, but it still seems like its in his favor)

i guess add me to singles

Chun, i would really appreciate it if you helped me run the BB 3v3 tourney? btw, i was thinking $10 entry per person. at revelations, it was $5 and i remember 10-15 teams entered i think? My team got second, and i won $11 ($6 profit) the top 3 prize will be less sad if it was $10 entry imo what do you guys think?
-
i'm guessing since nobody is running Blazblue teams, i'll do it. they'll be 3v3. i'll post some rules tomorrow and have you guys make sure they are okay :3
-
BBCS2 teams yes or no?
-
no, there is no way in hell... you already said something similar about taokaka, but we all saw where that went.
-
if 4D wiffs she has optic barrel (thank you arc sys for letting her special cancel on wiff) you can hit her in the face for that though, if you react correctly
-
i think ib 5A loses to 2D-> 4D Assault thru Spring raid ? (not invincible)
-
i know it is, i would like an extended response if i can. from him :

LK, what do you feel are the primary benefits and problems with netplay. DO you feel that it is worth it? How do you improve in a place where you can't play againist offline competition in a regular pattern? -huey253
-
I usually don't answer questions in LK's thread, but i thought it would be helpful since i play againist Wuku and Polka on a regular basis. (i don't know if LK plays againist any rachels) rachel's mixup involves alot of guesswork (againist the good rachels) which is pretty lame. Her zoning is meh, unless rachel uses her wind+lobelia, which makes it harder for her to capitalize on her mixup. I feel rachel's mixup is only second to carl's "unblockable" setups. Rachel's oki is pretty strong, due to being able to force a neutral tech (there are setups that beat roll/quick getup in the corner) and usually allow rachel to get unpunishable 50 50 mixup on the opponent. the problems that i feel american rachels currently have are (in order of priority) -don't mix it up well enough -rely on 2C too much -neutral game isn't strong enough -don't finish combos -don't use pumpkin well enough EDIT: I FORGOT THE HIGHEST THING ON THE LIST, WIND MANAGEMENT rachel doesn't do very well in jp RIGHT NOW due to her being a difficult character to play correctly imo i think rachel will start winning alot in jp around august
