For those who are new to Nu, fighting Jin can prove to be a real hassle. Keep your cool and counter his offensive accordingly. Don't leave many openings in your guard once he is close as he might D you on a moment's notice. Against ice cars (except A version), block the first hit then tap back to instant block the sword swing. After that you can 2C 6C then act pulsar for distance or 236D into RC for some pain. You don't need to IB to counter the C icecar, but it's not easy to differentiate between the two on a moment's notice so it's safer to just IB both (It's easier than eating cake). Corner pressure: 3C is your friend. If he jumps a lot go under him or 2C. If he doesn't jump much then Barrier until he is at a good distance then 5c or 3c. Beware of his D if he is pushed back beyond his normal range. Also, if you happen to punish an icecar happy Jin (usually a scrub), they usually roll backward into another icecar. Don't hang back in this case and dash forward for another 5DD as soon as he lands on the ground. Keep him locked down and guessing instead of the other way around!

Be aware of Jin's who roll forward and use Blizzard/Gale on wake up. Same can be said about Litchi and Ragna though.

You don't need to IB B icecar either. B and C are both -9 on block, and I'm pretty sure D is too.

A is -7, so you can't 2C to punish. Although with that frame advantage, 2C will counterhit anything Jin throws out except C DP.

I've never really had trouble with Jin unless he somehow got a weird D off on me. Let me explain. He'll do his little attack string, and end with a 5D that doesn't link at all. It's just there to catch you incase you do something. I've been caught by this numerous times even while I'm still blocking. I have gone into training mode to recreate this scenario, but my only guess is I'm somehow pressing 7 or 9 to jump while I'm guarding. So, he's catching me in the start up frames of a jump. Has anyone else had this problem before? I know I'm not letting go of block.

My only explanation is that you could be getting a mysterious backdash somewhere. That's when I find myself getting hit most by 5D, especially if I'm trying to instant block everything.

Yeah, it happens to me all the time. I'll be debating in my head if I should try to intercept him or just block, and that split second of hesitation is just enough to get me hit. Basically you must have let go of block at the very last second.

So, this is a first for me... Jin just rapid while on his ice car still, and the car continued on and did a low breaker on me, thus making me lose a match. I have no idea what just happened.

jin's ice copter, when jin ice car you might want to standing block it and then block low when its done.

Urg, I hate Jin's icecar with 50 heat purely for the rapid cancel You can do a 6A if he tries to RC and then attempts an overhead, but Jin can use the RC in other ways to counter your 6A. Basically, with 50 heat he has a way to automatically use his blockstring on you in the corner, pretty brutal Best idea is to hop over icecar, barrier block it or catch it with a lucky 6D

Jin has a Number of options after an RC'd icecar. Off the top of my head, Jin can: j.b for an overhead land 2.b for low j.a tick into throw I'm sure there's more fancy gimmickry that can be done, but those are the main things.
