Arcana Heart 3 Love Max will release on Steam September 29 with a price of $30, featuring a 10% discount for the first week: http://store.steampowered.com/app/370460

It's expected all the regional restrictions on netplay will be gone, which is fantastic, and this will help make the game accessible to a wider audience. However the price is probably pretty steep for a lot of people who have already invested a lot into the console versions or perhaps have already played it and moved on. I plan on picking this up on release myself. Are you planning on buying it, waiting for a sale, or not at all?

is there input delay using a controller on computer? my computer probably wouldn't be able to run it 60fps anyway so I'd have to pass probably

Waiting for a sale.

EDIT:

Ok maybe not. The price tag seems a lot more reasonable to me with the Purchase Bonus essentially being a digital artbook. I realize that's not exactly what everyone's interested in but it's swaying me a bit.

Still thinking.

It sounds like the artbook is part of the package no matter when you buy it so you could potentially wait for a sale and still get it. Concept art is cool though and I hope ASW is able to snag that stuff for more of their releases.

This shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, I got that. I'm just more willing to buy at launch at a higher price if it has a bonus like that.

I don't mind, I'll be more than likely to pick it up whenever. Considering I've got LM on both the PS3 and Vita, lol. (Though only the US versions.)

Seems I will be getting this when it comes out as well.....in more ways. <_<

Actually, I might be getting it day one after all. I put $20 on Steam to hold on for the game, but since this is likely to be $27.00 with the deal, I sold the profile backgrounds I wasn't using from Dragon: A Game About A Dragon to make up the rest.

How is meter gain in Love Max?

Vanilla was stupid fun, but you pretty much get meter for free, which I found to be a turnoff.

Well, your super meter and your dash meter was the same thing, so you needed to get it quick.

Meter Gain is pretty much the same as it was in vanilla with some minor adjustments.

Having one meter at the start of a round which regens isn't really a problem with gameflow at all since the pace of the game is very fast and meter is used for numerous actions (regular Supers, Homing Cancels, Guard Cancels, and Arcana Supers).

you're not using your meter enough

3's meter game leads to way more interesting decision-making than the old "Arturo's going to always be able to afford that Dark Super after he's knocked you down" game of AH1/2.

I would finish some matches in the earliest days of AHF with 9 bars. Yep.

Also keep in mind, the meter does recharge, but you do have to actually build up your max for it to reach level 2-3.

Anyway, yeah, I'm going to be on it.

Just a heads up, Arc System Works has teamed up with the Video Games department at AWA to bring Arcana Heart 3 Love Max to the convention days before the release date. Sorry about plugging this in but it beats having to make a whole thread about it so I do apologize. I'll try to work out some stuff with ASW to see if I can do a giveaway of keys during the con or something for those who can't attend.

Thanks goes out to Arc System Works allowing us at Anime Weekend Atlanta to help promote the release for them!!

Damn, 4.9 GB's, that's beefy, lol, this might take a while to DL, lol. IIRC, the console versions have lower GB sizes, I guess to probably optimize compression, compared to the PS3's 3.1GB and the Vita's 2.0GB sizes.
