GVGguy Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 "You Only Have To Decide It" is present too, in M.O.M-mode, so there's always a chance that there's more Overture Music hidden in the game. And I have a feeling the Console Version might have even more tracks from that game in.
TAI-X Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Bedman's theme is my favorite so far. It's Xrd's equivalent of "Keep in Gates," a dark, moody theme with quiet parts that's at odds with the rest of the OST. Goes well with all the inhuman growling emanating from Bedman.

GVG is also king of making his own takes on the themes. I mean, he did give us great renditions of six heroes and sector 7 almost a whole year before CP got released if I remember correctly. Besides we don't need rips of HOIII and you only have to decide it...since we already had overture for a while lol
Melwwwzas Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 From what i could listen so far my favourites are Millia,Ky and the new "Assasins guild?" theme sounds really awesome brillant melody! chumpkim new theme is good too its sounds so different from his older themes less "heavier" , also i really wish an clean Sol vs Ky im very curious to listen if sound like The Re-coming like you guys were saying ill definitely love since that is my favorite overture music.

I really like Sol's theme so I look forward to it. It makes me think of heavy day's tune but with the tempo of keep yourself alive and a hint of star chaser. (Never did hear star chaser yet but it does sound kickass lol)

Sol vs Ky theme does remind me a lot of "The Re-coming",especially the beginning of the theme.

I always hated that for how scary it makes Valentine, but hearing it with I-No makes it scarier. As a theme itself I like it. And as we all know, holy Orders III

SoWL Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 First I didn't understand why you'd make a loop out of a match video, but when the thing ended, I realized that I'd have done it myself if you didn't. Korean case aside, this is the first time Millia got a new theme, and that counts for something. It still has Millia's spirit in it, but it's now more about her personal story than the generic "I'm a pretty female assassin, woo!".

Edit: I remember hearing the full version in a stream where a Sol was doing practice. IIRC the full length of the song is about 4:20, somewhere around that range. I really like it from what I've heard. So it's a start lol Anyways, I'm gonna bring this up now. Out of all the themes,are Chipp's and May's the closest themes that sound like remixes of their previous themes, or is it just me?
Jocelot Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 The beginning of Chipp's theme def sounds the most like Suck a Sage, but that's about it for me(then again, I'll have to listen to it alot more to judge). With that said, I LOVE the new themes they composed for the characters, some even more then the originals. Potemkin's theme is great; it's hard and proud, Millia's is just intense and Slayer's is.... Marvel 2. lol. In a good way. I do think my new fav from what I've heard is Bedman's. As if it starts off like a lullaby then quickly shifts into night slasher epic rock. I should've really expected it, but I didn't, lol.
Poultrygeist Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Based on my poor hearing and my knowledge of music as well as consultation from friends, it sounds like the new tracks take inspiration (in classic Ishiwatari fashion) from these songs. Sol - Stranger Than Fiction by Five Finger Death Punch Ky - Electric Eye by Judas Priest Bedman - Panic Attack by Dream Theater Slayer - Sounds like a Led Zeppelin or Beatles song, I just can't put my finger on which one.
