Romeyyourhomey!

It's FireWolf79, let's dance again sometime stuuuhrrrippper style lol- sorry I couldn't over the weekend, I had to head out to the Distant Worlds concert.

Anyway- I chose her because I heard in vague passing before I got the game that she played like a wierd combo of Venom/Bridget/Jame from Guilty Gear. I mained Millia, I-No and Zappa, but used VE, BR and JA as subs, (and to my knowledge, there isnt a character in BB that plays similar to Milia, I-no and Zappa together. I wanted to give her up after a week of doing her challanges. I had gotten up to the 6th stage when I got connected to the psn for the first time.

I decided to stick with her when I got my first PSN victory against a level 42, psr 112 Arakune player on my 3rd match, among the joys of victories, I was pretty intrigued to the sadness and angst in her battle speech and LOVED that opening ending with "I'll STOP YOU!" as the staff whirls behind her. I never skip Arakune match openings and love winning the first round and hearing her say with heated despair :"THIS is your idea of wisdom?"

I decided I was an addict to this game and to her when my mouth dropped the first time I saw someone do her 5b, 2c, isuuA, A, 623c, 236a, 236b, 63214A...etc combo and I was dying to try it myself. I still remember the first time I landed on top of that staff and connected that kick after probably a good 2 hours of practice. How I can pull off I-no's 632146c chemical love combos without a problem, but still have so much difficulty pulling off this series is a mystery of the universe. I spend 2-3 hours a day at least with her, alternating between online matches and just practicing these intense and oft-time mega frustrating, but oh my god how good I feel when I can pull it off right combos

I picked Litchi in CT because before the game came out I enjoyed watching her long combos. This seems like a poor choice in retrospect as I'd never played a real fighting game before and I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. Alas, I'm better now.

Well, before settling on Litchi, I wanted to pick a character the closest to El Fuerte, my main in SFIV, so I went with Taokaka, but I didn't like her damage output and how it was done. After looking at other characters, I was on and off with Litchi. I was very intimidated by her execution so it turned me off. Looking back though, Litchi was the one character I clicked with the most, and I should've realized it back then.

On the bright side, settling now means I have an almost fresh start with CS2.

This is my concept whenever I enter a fighting game tournament at anime convention. To be specific, it is about being the bad guy, trolling with some random top tier character (even though I got to practice combos only for a couple hours just for the tournament) in order to make [insert name of game] look bad.

Straight up, because she's Chinese.

As a huge Chun-Li fan, I have a thing for female asian fighters and never even hearing about BlazBlue before Calamity Trigger's release, my friend who got it could "see me using her" because of her playstyle and appearence.

He saw right. lol

Whilst I like her character design, I didnt bother with Litchi in BBCT because of hard execution and so much character/screen position dependence in her BnBs.

What is she like in CS2? Still the same? Are her combos easier/more general now?

her combos in CS2 are somewhat requiring even more skill than CT and CS..zzzzzzzzzzz..........or maybe I;m just not used to it yet.... :v

*but it's quite rewarding and satisfying >:3

I'll be honest, I picked her up because:

A. She has a Morrigan Pallet.

B. Her combo's aesthetics are super neat (same reason I picked up Tsubaki.)

C. She's Chinese. And as evidenced by countless animes, Chinese people in games and Japanese television/movies are super badass. Litchi doesn't disappoint.

Oh, and trollin' my friends that are still learning the game with long combos and corner-faggotry.

I like to think it makes them strive to get better.

Maybe I'm wrong.

I did the same...and the next minute... they got an amnesia and don't recall ever playing nor knowing blazblue D=

i originally played bang but i ended up hating how most of his normals are blockstring/combo filler

litchi has one of the most fun set of normals in the game to me (in terms of "wow so many things actually have a significant use in neutral") so i decided to give her a serious shot

additionally, i love pressure, i love her supers, and i ended up loving her staff mechanic a lot

lastly, i love her character design, stylish poses/motions, and huge tits. basically, obvious choice.

I think my the reason why I chose Litchi can best be told with a story.

It was long ago, Blazblue Calamity Trigger had just came out no long ago. I was just starting to really get into fighting games again after not having touched Guilty Gear for a very long time(I have had a lot of Guilty Gear games, Dust Strikers, #reload, Accent Core just to name 3. All of them seemed to just come and go for extremely coincidental reasons that were beyond my control. To list those would be derailment of my story though.) Throughout CT and at that time, I had no doubt in my mind that Noel would be the one I stick with but, after CS came and was out for a while I began to get really really good with Noel and it felt great to beat all of my friends a whole bunch who are into the game like I am but, after a while, playing Noel didn't have that spark with me anymore, that thing that made her fun for me, she felt kind of...soulless and when I can't put my heart into something, I'm the kind of person that loses faith in what I'm doing and eventually stop. On top of that everyone around me kept complaining about me. There's only so much salt one can take before he has a heart attack.

Anyway, I talked to my best friend of 6 years who is really into Blazblue like I am and voiced my concerns about the empty feeling and the complaints and he told me and he more or less told me to give Litchi a try since I told him that I Always pick girl characters in fighting games(not on purpose oddly enough). I tried on and off with Litchi until I gave up; I picked up Lambda instead and made lots of progress and stuck with her instead. Cs2 rolled around and so did Platinum The Trinity and as predicted she is really fun for me; nothing changed with Lambda and I'm still really good with her and I feel I'm doing even better with either of them than Noel but with Platinum and Lambda came a voice in the back of my head that kept nagging that I gave up on Litchi too quickly and to give her another chance. Eventually I gave in and found Litchi extremely hard(as in The execution barrier and timing are uphill battles with me) but, I'm now slowly making progress and having lots of fun while I'm at it. And here we are.

tl;Dr - WAS a Noel hipster. Lolis, Robots and Meat Buns are cool.

Litchi has been my main from the start because the way she plays stood out a lot to me. You have this Dragon Lady, but instead of Kung Fu, she has a stick, and you have to use it in ways to keep people on their toes.

She is also pretty easy on the eyes.

Not going to lie: As soon as I saw that smug face with glasses and boobs and I was like "I got me a main."

I don't have CS, but I got CT on PC when I could - Nowadays, I prefer CT litchi to CS2 Litchi. Something about the simpler moveset and mechanics really appeals to me. I'm not sure why, to be honest - CT Litchi has no love and is more strict in execution, right?

As I continue playing either game, I just notice that people see some sort of "go away" sign when they see Litchi (even though she was top tier in cs1). Maybe because other characters are easier to pick up. I suppose Carl is the same way.

i picked up litchi in cs2 and fell in love. i started with tao in ct but cs2 killed her for me (8d(a) 8D(a) 8D(a)) so i moved around some characters played platinum for a full 2 months then tried litchi and was like "oh yea" so i started playing litchi ever since so now im a litchi, platinum main (leaning more tours litchi tho)
