Ultima Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 AntiZig: I looked through that place, but couldn't find much of anything. And as tsukihimeblood pointed out, I wanted to know what the names of the normal attacks were, if there are any. Witness this R.Mika page on SRK's wiki. It has the official move name (taken from All About Zero 3, if I'm not mistaken) for every single normal attack. I wanted to know if GG has anything equivalent. But I suspect the answer is "no".
Rift Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 You probably won't find that kind of naming convention in many games. I honestly have never heard anyone refer to a normal by its "actual" name before.
Potion Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 So does anybody know if Slash Back is a 1 frame action? seems like you can really spam it.
Potion Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Sorry if i'm missing it, but it's only got frame info for when you actually connect with it. the 4 frame on second blah blah. I'm talking is it capable of being done on EVERY frame, if you're whiffing
Rift Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Ah, you're right. Well it certainly feels like it might be 1 or 2 frames. Like you said, you can really spam it.
rtl42 Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I have read his FAQs. Most FAQs, even when they list every normal attack in detail, seldom list the actual official name of the attack even when there is one and is it's known, so EChang's FAQs not having them is an indication of nothing. But if you say "no", then oh well. I had a feeling that was the case. Thanks anyway. oh, my bad, i wasn't aware of that. in that case, my response is: "no, afaik," and i'm assuming that if there was a list of official normal attack move names (different from P/K/S/H/D), someone would've posted it up already (as most people do).
zer0kage Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Alright fellas so what are generally known 'guaranteed throw' situations?
bullet ballet Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Alright fellas so what are generally known 'guaranteed throw' situations? In general, any advancing move with disadvantage on block leads into one. Sol's BR, for instance. Spacing, or course, matters with these. The contrived cases of guaranteed throws are staggers and whiffed uppercuts.
Broken_Dust Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Talking about AC..: - SB doesn't seem to work on wake-up, or is it just my noobness?? - I've seen a video of Dizzy IK, and Sol's double dragon install.. but I don't see them in the command list??
Harem Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Talking about AC..: - SB doesn't seem to work on wake-up, or is it just my noobness?? - I've seen a video of Dizzy IK, and Sol's double dragon install.. but I don't see them in the command list?? Hidden moves.
Darkhonor90 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Talking about AC..: - SB doesn't seem to work on wake-up, or is it just my noobness?? - I've seen a video of Dizzy IK, and Sol's double dragon install.. but I don't see them in the command list?? Yes SB works on wakeup. Your just not doing it correctly
Jet Set Dizzy Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Hidden moves. I thought dizzy's IK was just a GG mode thing...not a hidden move.
taraction Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 you can't slashback meaties. they have to be blocked. also dizzy has a hilariously useless hidden ik in ac. also, anyone wants to start a 'hidden moves in ac' thread so people can stop asking 'what's the deal with sol's moroha dragon install and dizzy's ik etc etc'?
Slavi Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I have a question about fortress defence and fautless defence. Yesterday when I played #R online I noticed that when I try to block normals with f defence somehow its easier to get the timing for just frame blocking(fautless defence with the blue lightning). During the VS play all happened pretty fast so I am not exactly sure. So is it possible that if you hold b or db for block and that just press fortress defence in the right moment of the opponent normal attack it will occur in fautless or just defence?
Vyze Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I'm going to be picking up an arcade stick off a buddy soon, so I can start practising on that in a month or two. However, what's the layout of the GG arcade buttons? Judging by the PS2 pad, my instincts would say: P S D K H But I think GG controls are "n" shaped or something, and for some reason I think it might go: P S H K D I'd like to play as close to a proper arcade setup as possible, so I'd need the right button config for that.
Hellmonkey Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 10f or something on wakeup you can't slashback This might be bypassed by doing slash barrier, i'm not sure.
Vyze Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Ksh P-d I was close enough, only mixed up punch and kick. Thanks!
AntiZig Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I've seen the term 'Clean Hit' being used in Sol forums alot, dont want to pollute there asking what it is. Can someone explain here?
Rift Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Some of Sol's specials will only have a certain effect (example: wall bounce, popup (or is it just the untechability time?)) only if the attack hits just right. To my understanding this is typically the center of the target. So Cleah Hit (CL) is basically the act of hitting a target in the center of their hitbox to achieve an extra effect on some specials.
PhoenixPhenom Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I cant find an AC tier list anywhere...someone direct me please, assuming there is one posted around here somewherez i'm too lazy to look harder...not that it really matters, I've got AC and I already know Anji got raped...
Digital Watches Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Nehle has one, but I'm not sure if it's still accurate. http://www.nehle.net/actiers.php
Shoto Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I believe it has been posted in the forums, but I couldn’t find it.. What is the startup for the blue and the gold burst in AC (I know they are faster now)?
