bjholmes2 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 For discussion of the Hazama vs. Iron Tager matchup.
IkeTakeda Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Combo once and you run away for the whole game. Take advantage on chain hit. End of story.
Edge Reaper Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Combo once and you run away for the whole game. Take advantage on chain hit. End of story. As sad as it sounds, this is the leading strategy. Hazama has almost nothing on Tager except his drive.
Phones01 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 ^this though you can also IB into jayoku and combo ftw.
junja Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 grabbing is dumb in this match. trying to tick throw usually gets me 360'd, so that happens sparingly. but when you're magnetized and cant get away you can wait for frame advantage and c.grab him out of his guard string:psyduck:
ixRenegade Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 For Tagers who like to 360/Atomic Collider after Gadget finger, TKing Hirentotsu is pretty safe.
junja Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 last time i played i just mashed a every time i was getting hit. had about a 50% success rate, so next time ill try an find out which moves arent safe for tager~
mugenblade Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 well from my vast amount of time spent on youtube, i'd say that it's a25/75 tager's favor. Hazama has the same problem lambda has, low damage ratio.

Hazama has the same problem lambda has, low damage ratio. I think Hazama has it worse than Lambda. The players i mostly beat where Hazama players. Lambda has got more ways to keep Tager away from her.
Ssuusshhii Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 rofl?! He's obviously being sarcastic, right?
kid viper Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 once tager loses spark what is there to fear? hazama can hit tager once and run the whole match. avoid the spark and it's pretty much over =_= also hazama by far does not have low damage output.

Phones01 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 tager can be easily punished after sledge hammer and if they toward you can use 6D,4D,or gashokyaku and free combo.tager's 2C is used alot for wake up when you try to jump in on him so be careful about rushing tager down otherwise you might eat an atomic collider into a combo but thatswhy you have to use hazama's chains for aerial approach.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 How is magnetization v.s ouroboros? As in can tager pull you in despite the trajectory you send yourself via ouroboros and etc?
kid viper Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 magnetization < ouroboros. because any slight movement affects how you move while magnetize, hazama's movement becomes unpredictable when following a chain while tager uses some type of magnetization move
FuzzyWUzzy Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 The only thing that comes to mind when thinking of what Tager has over Hazama is just damage output. However, Hazama can easily zone Tager, approach with relative ease, combo, and run away. There's nothing Tager can do except AC a jump-in and punish mistakes. tl;dr HAZAMA FTW
kid viper Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 that's not necessarily true. tager's damage output is roughly around a consistent 3-4k BnB when magnetized (if i remember correctly) and then the 5.6k 720? hazama's damage output is rougly 3k BnB and his punishers do roughly 4k-7k depending on meter. the reason for the huge spread for his punish damage is because hazama is a high risk/high reward character. on top of that most his combos yield him great meter gain so he pretty much always has the meter stocked to punish at any given moment.
Henaki Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 hazama beats tager, its gotta be around 6-4 hazama favorThe only thing that comes to mind when thinking of what Tager has over Hazama is just damage output. Yeah, after getting jabbed out of 214D~A, you'd think I'd quit it. xd
jellotek Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 How do you guys get out of that nasty Gadget finger>360 bs? D: I tried his command throw, but it doesn't come out fast enough.
bjholmes2 Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 Jump. Gadget Finger is all one big, nasty guessing game.
kazukifafner Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 It's also fun to use the command throw against a Tager waking up in the corner.
