Spirit Juice Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I love this damn thing. :D HI I HAVE THREE OF THEM... AND NONE OF THEM WORK! D: I need to get around to repairing them if I can. The way they designed the board is complete ass though. Such a pain in the ass to get to the buttons. -_-
Master Chibi Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Yeah I don't plan on modding this thing, and when it eventually dies out I'll likely have a custom stick to replace it, but I basically wanted a stick asap so I can stop playing pad all together. ;O
Cyringohn Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Where can one purchase a stick like the kind kaworu posted?
blueNINE Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 This is inspiring. Although I love my PS² controllers, I am wanting to make a custom stick now.
Necrosis Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I have a HRAP2, and from what I hear it's better, but I have never used a HRAP1.
Ceirnian Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I want to get my hrap2 modded in the next few months, even have a custom picture being made for the cover art. I just have to find someone nearby who would be willing to do it (I don't want to risk messing anything up). When I get it done I'll be sure to post it up here.
Shazay Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Which one is better? HRAPV1 or HRAPV2? They stopped making HRAP2 but its still possible to get them. Other then button layout, color, and preference they are the same.
Necrosis Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Wait, do you mean they stopped making HRAP2 but NOT HRAP1?
BDM Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I want to get my hrap2 modded in the next few months, even have a custom picture being made for the cover art. I just have to find someone nearby who would be willing to do it (I don't want to risk messing anything up). When I get it done I'll be sure to post it up here. Do you have a tutorial on how you can put custom artwork on the HRAP2? I'd like to do the same.
almblad Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Those anyone have a guide or some pictures of how you add a custom picture to HRAP2?
Necrosis Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Shazay, you got it wrong, I was asking if they stopped making HRAP2 (knew they did already) but if they were still making the HRAP1 (which, from the same source, they are not) because you made it sound like they were in fact still making the HRAP1, but NOT the HRAP2.
SUBmerge Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 i have been playin with a pad pretty much all my gaming life and ive recently been going to infinity arcade down in city of industry to get my dose of GG. i am horrible with a joystick, cant roman cancel...cant even do a simple grave digger. as a result im considering constructing my own because i dont feel like fukin around with the street fighter aniversary one i have. but anyways can anyone give me some suggestions. anything from what type of stick (ball or dildo) to what kinda buttons and where i can buy em from. also ideal dimensions for a box, what kind of material to build the box from, what cables and other components i will need. oh and im planning to use this on my PC/xbox360 so most likely it will have to be a USB plug...iono how set all that up so if someone has this knowledge id appreciate it edit: er so i was browsing online, and i think im going to need an encoder? something like the I-pac 2 to have it usb and be able to run on windows and the 360?
YaR 1030 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 i wish i had a custom stick. how much is it usually when asking someone to make a stick? i know it varies from person and parts but an fair estimate would be $300? for Sanwa stick and buttons.
rtl42 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 sergio: wow. never would've imagined seeing colbert on a stick. very unique, dude.
thatotherguy Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Sup guys? I made the stoopid choice to get one of these sticks It was only 20$ and I didn't feel like blowing a whole lotta money to try out sticks. Its really crappy, and I was wondering if any of you thought it was even worth modding? Or, since I didn't really like the feel of the stick(this one is really crappy, maybe custom sticks a re better?) should I just stick to a pad?
Nehle Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Yea, its pretty boring. All the big buttons and the stick have been modded with sanwa parts. Bought it pre-modded for about $130

Yeah, right. Maybe if you're ordering a Darkside stick or getting a sanwa flash in a custom. $130-$160 is the average price for custom sticks.
