It's just horrible to watch that match. Dacidbro's description of Ara vs Tag fits what I was thinking pretty much. I don't know if I'd say there are exactly three 7-3 matchups in the game, so I'm not going to look for two more just to fill the spot, you know. Let me mull it over in my head. Let's just say IMO Tsu doesn't have any 3-7 matchups.

WHAT MIXUP? WHAT DAMAGE? WHAT PRESSURE? do you even know what game we're talking about? mundus Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Tager - Arakune is definitely 7-3 for Arakune. I swear that Mu - Hakumen is also like 7-3 for Hakumen. Also it feels like Rachel - Carl is like 7-3 but maybe i just suck with Rachel, every other matchup is winnable imo though, even Litchi. I only take into account when i fight people that knows the characters, scrub Arakune's is like 9-1 for Tager.

mundus Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 ^ Lambda is a tough cookie to crack, but i used to fight a really good Nu in CT with Rachel (impossible to win with Tager) and i swear in that game it was just as hard if not harder.

Notwithstanding damage and meter gain, it's the general design of Ragna, it's no real doubt that he has all she does and more. Unlike Bang, Ragna can much easier outspace Tsubaki in every situation (ground to air, air to air, etc). Her saving grace is her 5b, which Ragna's is faster, has a longer hit box and more blockstun. Ragna is much faster than Litchi making him much harder to avoid on a conventional plane. how does tsubaki approach ragna, bang, litchi and hakumen safely? She doesn't. actually how does she do ANYTHING in that range? Same way Tager does, block, be patient, wait for an opening. They're easy to IB, giving her wiggle room to get closer, and since Hakumen doesn't have a decent ground to air, profit. how does tsubaki make up for everyone doing p. much double her average damage? Persistence. how does tsubaki make anyone scared? WHAT MIXUP? WHAT DAMAGE? WHAT PRESSURE? Never said she had anything to scare anyone. To conclude, I don't think Tsubaki has any real 3-7 matches, that's not to say she doesn't have any bad ones she's comprised of mostly bad match ups, just not any neigh unwinnable ones, save for Ragna. I'm not saying I'm 100% correct, after all I'm a tourneyless scrub kune player who went cold turkey from netplay, and since I don't play Tsubaki, Ragna, Bang, Litchi or Hakumen, my words should have been taken with a grain of salt from the get-go if people were to make such a big deal of them. smooshman Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 lol late but Jin and Tsubaki is pretty hilarious, it's like they said "hey hate fighting Ragna? why? gdlk midrange normal that out range your reversals and 2A? how about a character with no damage, and a movelist composed of super close range normals that have no priority?" and that means I can just 2A her pressure and know that I it will work 90% of the time, and her approach is predictable... and she's one of the few characters Jin can actually zone and out range at close range.... it feels even to 5.5-4.5 Jin's advantage

Hell, I could even say 6-4.
