Actually, she probably won most of the games 'cause the other people were crappy. I could've sworn that Johnny ran into her FB bubble like 3 times. The final was Eddie killing himself with the laser fish. I didn't see any ice spike FRCs. Only like... one 2H FRC. Still, the Dizzy player was pretty good. And sommmmmmebody pressed the start button mid-game!

ATG > I think that Asenka wasn't literally wondering how can a May win. Instead, he wanted to bring hype, make people wanting to watch the vids, hence the cliff-hanging note. ;)

You tell me, you're the mod here :psyduck: Though it looks like that's what Asenka is doing now, judging by the last update being posted in this thread.

Yup, it will be done that way from now on, sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you please merge the other threads about the "[FRANCE] Gnouz Ranking Battles" into the same one then ?

Thanks !

Gnouz RB 3 and 4 : current topic.

Let's shed some light on these events.

Few months ago, the Gnouz Corporation started to hold monthly Ranking Battles in Paris. Those are one of the only two regular Guilty Gear RB in this city, though the other, which began even more recently, doesn't record matches at all.

Enjoy the videos and feel free to leave a comment. :keke:

I'm going to comment on the JO matches from Ranbat#6, since he's probably the only character I'm qualified to criticize. Mitsuomi, *great* job on the match versus Faust! I really liked the way you handled things overall. Fantastic catch with the j.S-5K-2D-coin-f.5S-MF2(P)-KJFRC combo! I also liked the tricks you pulled with 6K FRC into throw. I loved it when you threw TE's blue bursts, good stuff! Every now and then I'd see you throw out a Lv2 MF from nowhere, without comboing into it first, and I wasn't too fond of it. You never caught Faust with any of them, and you lost your Lv2. It's fine to throw out random MFs to keep the opponent on their guard, but not when it's a Lv2 in my opinion. Also, 2H didn't seem to work out for you, use it to hit your opponent out of a slow move before it hits you, or to stop them from getting in when you don't have enough time to throw out anything else like 2S or 5H. Again, great job! Versus Keev, you did alright. Your offense was pretty good, and you got in some decent damage, but you really need to work on your defense vs DI. A few times it looked like you barely missed DI with a few normals because she was just a little too far away, work a little on your spacing. Versus KB, another great match! You caught him with 2D-coin-f.5S-MF2(P) again, very nicely done, I love seeing that. You even threw in a JH, and to decent effect, try working it into your game a little more, I think you could put it to good use. I'm pretty sure you can coin TE after a throw, so I suggest that you do that when you don't have LV2 yet, instead of going for enkasu or damage. Overall, work on your usage of 2H. When you have your opponent near the corner and you hit with a MF2(K) try using the following combo MF2(K)-dash-6H-JH-c.5S-5H-coin I think this would work really well for you, since you recoin and you can airthrow them after they tech out from the coin. You've got a lot of talent, and you're doing really well already, just keep practicing. Great job, Mistuomi.

Shinjin>> Yes that's what we were thinking ^^ But there's also a big tournament at London the same week-end. I personnaly prefer Sweden, don't know if everyone will make the same choice. We'll try to decide quickly ;)

Xaphiel > Huuuug ! Mitsuomi does not come here but yeah he is a pretty good Johnny. Can't watch vids right now but I saw some of his casual play matches live. He missed some combos but according to him, he was a little rusty not having any comp in a while. Thanks for the feedback mate !

Yup "/David 'Shinjin', THAT STRONG BAIKEN-PLAYER" ! You came for the free hug, you scoundrel ! :v:

I already copy-pasted Steph's announcement in Chemical-Love to various French forums few hours ago so that almost every players knows about it :

Sad thing is at the same time Neo-Empire (UK) organize their Super Versus Battle Opera 2008. It is really a hard pick specially since I was interested in both of them. Destiny can be ironic sometimes. Two great event, too much awesomeness, the world will collapse, that has become obvious now.

Don't know yet which one GG French players including myself will go to.

Maybe see you there.

Mitsurugi> No problem, I'm glad to offer my opinions when they're welcome. Try and get in some matches in the next ranbat, I was looking forward to seeing you play in a few vids in this one.

A big session was done in february at cracker24 house in lyon, with almost 20 players in a single appartment (orgy inside).

We made some random tournaments and you can see the videos here : http://trinidart.free.fr/videoguilty/cracker-session/

The RB is a huge tournament with 8 players in each team.

The first tournament is made with random teams.

Each video is 30 minutes and 150 mo.

Watch out for the matches of ryukim, ben! and cracker !:psyduck:

Very nice match against Eddie. I especially liked how you broke out of his pressure using the EXE Beast to trade hits with Eddie after you blocked the first summon hit(2:08 & 2:33). Is this always possible during that specific type of rushdown??? ...and if so why didn't you use it more???

Only seen the finals between Cuongster and Dream Maker, nice game guys. Nice to see some new vids with you Dream Maker, it seems that you would make Caer fight pretty hard to take the TE-#1-spot in europe :) How many players competed in the tournament? Can you namedrop some?

Because it's hard, you have to IB the first hit of mawaru, and then input EXE quite fast, in fact I was trying to do so almost every time but sometimes even if you manage to IB the EXE won't come out if you don't get the good timing. That's what happened when you see me IBing but not doing anything afterwards. :gonk:

Thanks man, but I think that Caer is still waaay above myself in terms of Testament mastering, and the gap will certainly be even bigger when he will be back from Japan. :p

Sadly the solo tournament was almost as dead as the qualifiers, we only had 6 players attending, the 2 others being T-nor (KY) and Choco (JO). We could have been at least 12 players but the cost of the tournament was quite high so many players renounced to participate. No big names of the french scene among the other players...

That's too bad, but we still had some good games.
