Ok so just got in about 2 hours of the demo. The game feels really cheap and not very strategic at all. I was also disappointed when the demo didn't feature MY Remi (The whole reason I was interested was because of Chaos;Head & Steins;Gate)!

Being a low budget game is still not an accuse for bad mechanics, but I guess it wasn't bad for their first ever fighter; in honest opinion I think they best focus on making their Visual Novels instead.

Forget it, 5pb and the other companies who created The Idolm@ster, Deathsmiles, etc. apparently hate money so they release it on their country's niche console. :v:

Actually, it's got so niche, all the otaku buy 360 without bothering with PS3. So 360 is kinda like niche mainstream, or something. :psyduck:

Just watched the trailer. Too bad there's still no Rimi and Chris coverage, but that GATE OF STEINER remix is mighty good. I finally have a reason to look forward to the OST.

I was doing some research, and discovered there may be a 14th playable character in this game (Possibly the boss character)

Particularly, I looked at this game's japanese wikipedia page since the japanese know everything, and discovered it lists 14 characters whereas we only know about 13.

So, I decided to try to find out which of the characters listed there is not one we already know about, and I believe it to be this character:

Infiniti

Voice: Dawn瀬水

Age: Unknown. Occupation: boss.

Date of Birth: Unknown. Blood Type: unknown.

Height: 181cm. Weight: 75kg. Measurements: unknown.

Armor-FA-: Satoshi Tsutomu.

Technology Type: Unknown: Unknown.

Sounds like a boss character to me. So, 14 characters total then? If this game is really successful, who knows, we might even see some more DLC.

Well, that was scientific, alright. Though I'd rather see her played by a player with minimal experience, who does something other than normals. Though it's supposed to be a newbie-friendly game, yeah.

Website updated today, nothing special, just noting some Microsoft Kinect event on the 15th for the game. For some reason they're showing off Phantom Breaker there. Wait. Phantom Breaker is Kinect-enabled? Nah, probably not.

i have seen only a few vids of PB and i have yet to see a single air combo in gameplay.

Air combos exist. However, from the 4 characters in the demo, you kind of need to be a pro to pull them off. But I have seen people pull off air combos in the demo.

That is also a good peek at how the pros will be playing the game, but from what I hear, they improved the game a lot since the demo, you die quicker and moves are more lethal than in the demo.

Additionally, it's a safe bet that there will be at least 1 character that specializes in aerial combos.

I could probably find one of I searched Nico Nico Douga, but i'm too lazy to make an account there. Just wait. This is the calm before the storm. When the game launches on June 2nd, 2 weeks from now, Phantom Breaker vids will be all over YouTube.

Yea, demo was very very training un-friendly.

First, it was hard to start combos because most things would be auto-guarded. ..and second, even when you combo, you can't tell if it will really work because the CPU doesn't tech.

That being said, I spent hours on the demo. (Mikoto of course!)

Plan to pick this up once I can find it for an affordable price. I really don't want the asian version.

yeah, i saw some of the air combos in one of the vids you linked...but my pc shut down/crashed for no good reason so i wasn't able to see the entire vid.

those air combos don't get very high of the ground like in melty or guilty gear, but it looks fun regardless. i was just wondering if the game played like vanguard princess or not.

seems like it doesn't play like either gg or vp.

its its own creature, from what i see.
