Ginseng Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Please discuss any BBCS Tsubaki combos in this section .
Gray Dream Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Recommended BnB combo's: [5BB > 5CC > 22D > 6CC > hjc j.C > dj. CC > j.236A > j.214C]: 1 Charge ... 2900 - 3000 [throw > 22D > 6CC > hjc j.C > dj.CC > j.236A > j.214C]: 1 Charge ... 3100 - 3200 [Any Reset Setup> Unblockable 22D > 6CC > hjc j.C > jc dj.CC > j.236A > j.214C]: 1 Charge ... 3200 - 3300
Slayer Alucard Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Asked this in the QnA thread, but should probably ask it here. What's the best option for damage after a FC 6C with a minimum of 2 charges? Go straight into 6CC > air combo? Or are there better options using moves like 22D or 214D?

Slayer Alucard Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 That's like, 100% heat for a punish combo though >_>
Gray Dream Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Corner: FC 6C 214A 2CC jc > air combo ender D: ?
Slayer Alucard Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Guess that'd work for just starting out, need to experiment once the game is actually out :3 And a question about launching/relaunching. Can you use 2CC > 5C(whiff)C(hit) in the place of 5B > 2CC at any time? Or only if the opponent is low enough?
Ginseng Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 If you have 50 meter and 1 charge, you can do FC 6C > 214214D > 623D > j.214D > 214D > 2CC 5C(w)C > hjc j.B j.C > jc j.CC > j.236A > j.214C for about 4k. If you have 2 charge, you can do FC 6C > 214D > 2CC 5C(w)C > hjc j.B j.C > jc j.CC > j.214D > 2C > super for about 4000+ as well(That's assuming you reach 50 meter by the end of the combo) I don't really remember the damage values on both combos, but that's what I discovered after working with a bit in the corner.
NickExtreme1 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I LOL'D when I saw one of the achievements / throphies for Continumm Shift. For Great Justice Using Tsubaki, use the "D" version of every single special attack in a combo.
-Seo Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX7RR074ceU Can someone confirm if the combo against lambda at 0:28 is crouch specific?
Felicia Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX7RR074ceU Can someone confirm if the combo against lambda at 0:28 is crouch specific? It is, but you can do a combo similar to this without the 5BB. Simply do 5B, 3C, 3CC, into air combo.
-Seo Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Thanks. Guess it's probably better to just stick to the regular bnb.
Felicia Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Thanks. Guess it's probably better to just stick to the regular bnb. Go for a mid-screen air combo (like the one just mentioned, or in the combo video) from time to time. It's usually safer and gives you more time to pick up Installs while your opponent is picking himself off the floor. Don't be afraid to use 3C and 3CC - it is another launcher for Tsubaki and does lead into some good stuff.
Pow! Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I hope I'm not the only one with this problem so far... I'm having trouble comboing from 6CC > h.jc > j.C. It's the 1st part of Mission #4 in Tsubaki's Challenge iirc. I'm probably not inputting fast enough but wondering if you guys are having the same problem as well.

Do it mid-screen, for ease of execution's sake. The h.jc is amidst the second part of 6CC. It seriously is easier mid-screen. Tsubaki reminds me of Sophitia; but in a good fighting game. EDIT: It's just as easy in the corner.

Oh and a combo to go along: CORNER ONLY - j.C > 2C > 214A > 2CC > h.jc > j.B > j.C > j.CC > j.236A > j.214C - 0 Charge - 2649 dmg Only tried it against Bang, don't know about other characters yet.
Shaffler Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I can't seem to figure out the second combo for Mission 6. Is it really specific on where start it and end it? Because no matter what I do, 214D won't connect then even if it did, 2C won't follow up.
STenSatsu Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 You can have it demonstrate it by hitting your function 1 button. If it is the one where you do an air combo into 236d->214d, then you have to delay the 214d quite a bit. If it is one of the others you may be doing j.d,dj.cc out of habit when some of the combos won't connect if you do dj.cc instead of dj.c.
funkpanda Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Easiest combo off of 22D: 6C > jc.B > j.C > jc.B > j.C > 236.A > 214.C
Slayer Alucard Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 General combo off 22D all the time though should be 22D>6CC>hj.C>dj.CC>j.236A>214C, for the damage and since it's real easy too. If you've got more than one charges stocked though, going for 22D as a reset would be smarter since using one more stock will net you 3 to 4k
Shaffler Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I was playing around Tsubaki's DD setups and I discovered a DD combo that is flashy and unnecessary. But might as well share it. B+C > 214214D > 22D > 214D > 22D > 214D > 236236D (Requires 100% Heat and probably as much charge as possible. Since it only deals around 4k, I don't really think it's worth the trouble of spending 5 charges and 100% Heat.)
Grendy Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 1 Charge Combo: 3C -> jc -> falling j.C -> 2CC -> jc -> j.C -> jc -> j.C -> 236A -> 214D -> 2CC -> jc -> j.CC ->236A -> 214C (3104) I think its corner specific but I could just lack the ability to dash in after 214D. Also the combo only does 538 extra damage for the charge. Since. I've only been playing around with her since Tuesday I can't say for sure if the damage is worth the charge. The combo without a charge is 3C -> jc -> falling j.C -> 2CC -> jc -> j.C -> jc -> j.CC -> 236A -> 214C Anyway didn't see this listed in the combo section so here it is for discussion. Edit: missed a jc
Minerva_sc Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 is there a reason people don't add the j. B after a hjc off 6CC? I usually do 22D>6CC>hj.BC>dj.CC>j.236A>214C and if you have 2 meter and have good timing: 22D, 6C, 214D, (wait for them to drop fairly low) 2CC, 5CC (first hit whiffs), hjc.BC. dj.CC, 236A, 214C, charge, for 4k+ damage, depending on how much the 6C hits, you can't let the whole thing hit or the 214D will whiff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX7RR074ceU Can someone confirm if the combo against lambda at 0:28 is crouch specific? anyone know the notations for the litchi combo at 00:40?
Gray Dream Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Tsubaki reminds me of Sophitia; but in a good fighting game. OMG I thought I was the only one who thought this :D. Oh I found (a) good 1 charge combo(s): [CH JC 2BB 5CC 236D 5BB 2BB 5CC 236A 214A 22A] Around 3100 dmg [5BB 2BB 22D 6C jc JBC jc JCC 236A 214A/C] 2400 dmg
