Godlike Entertainment presents:

Season’s Beatings: Redemption

Fugee and Ghaleon are offering redemption for anyone who’s got wrongs to right: disappointing Evo performances; failed tournaments; DQs; missed snapbacks; random Ultras. Compete in Ohio and erase the past alongside the world’s best competitors. A star is born every major -- SB is your time to shine.

SB:R Registration, plus News Updates, Video, Photos - feat. 10 questions with Daigo Umehara

This is our chance to again reach out to national GG players again and bring them back to the Midwest for an epic tournament at a fantastic venue. Flash Metroid will be back on this GG to get this money -- join us in OH for a headlined GG event. I talked to ElvenShadow and a couple other players and they convinced us we can get this big for GG and BB:CS.

Attractions: Big names. Interviews. Upholstry. Bubble Tea. IFC YIPES on the MIC.

Who: Daigo, Momochi, Choco Blanka, and the best of the U.S./Canada/Puerto Rico.

Last year 500 players from 38 states, Canada and Puerto Rico repped their homes to battle Daigo and Justin Wong for the Season’s Beatings Street Fighter championship. Justin's surprise Fei sent Daigo to loser’s bracket, but Daigo showed why World Warriors fear him as The Beast. Will Justin get revenge and claim the Street Fighter crown on his home turf? Will a dark horse prove himself as a true rival for the Big 2?

Also welcome Momochi and Choco Blanka on their first U.S. trip together. Is a fellow Japanese player all that can stop Daigo taking our money? Will a yet-unannounced traveler from the East take up the gauntlet against him as well? Stay tuned.

And as Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is prepared to reignite excitement in the Versus community, we’re proud to showcase MARVEL BABY at "the Mecca of Marvel" (thanks Dogface!) in perhaps one of its final moments in the mainstream spotlight.

MvC2 SB3 champion Chris Schmidt, after winning arguably the most fierce, stacked Marvel tournament of all time, returns two years later to try to win it all again against the East and West Coasts’ best.

Team Spooky will be producing the stream!

Run BB:CS please. It was a pretty awesome turn out last year for broken as fuck CT. Above that, it really brought out some amazing players and the top 8 was really the most diverse of any BB tournament in a major run in the US. I'd imagine the same top players will make it out to Seasons Beatings again and make another very entertaining showing.

Also for you guys running things, you will probably get enough unique entrants to help assist paying off the costs of running this awesome tournament. I think announcing it in Seasons Beatings soon, while the game is released and the scene is growing, will nab the interest of new players and old players who are making improvements.

Also, I want something to do while drinking that MOMO's bubble tea. Delicious.

We're cool with Larry and he supports what we do, and vice versa, dunno what that comment meant. If you're just fucking around, sorry I didn't pick up on it.

We're looking at adding BB:CS -- right now we don't know anything about the scene, and how successful BB:CS is gonna be at tourney level, so we need all the feedback/advice we can get.

The $300 is going to be split between 1st/2nd/3rd. I'd love to get more cash on the game but that's all we can do -- that's out of pocket.

Yeah, singles/teams -- that's up to you guys, let us know. For now it's singles, but if popular demand = teams that's totally cool with us. All we're trying to do is get GG out here strong!
