Those finals, man, goddamn. I can't help but find it funny as hell that LordKnight and Jetm were both training so hard against Jin/Litchi respectively before the tourney started, only for both to get knocked out by Zidane without ever facing each other. Lol. GGs to everyone.

Is it bad that GG got extremely minor exposure? Hell yes. Is it sad that BB couldn't even get in it's Grand Finals because people wanted to see t32 for SSFIV? Yeah. Is it Spooky's fault that this is the audience he's dealing with when....well I can't say for sure, but more than likely had in someway paid (whether it's for equipment, flight, lodging, or even a cup of coffee) wants to see SSFIV? When BB steam had less than 700 viewers, and freakin Marvel 2, a game that's pretty much dead for about 8 hours now had 5k? When BBCS is the supposed to be the big game of the anime/doujin whatever fighting game community? And that's not even the game people were demanding. Alternatively...for those of you that are challenged enough to not live on EC (:P), I run tournaments that do not have SSFIV. And when Spooky streams, people still ask for SSFIV.

Jourdal Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I've watched a lot of sp00ky's streams and i get the impression that he doesn't even like SSFIV, and I'm pretty sure his main game is melty, but you got to give the community what they want and what they want is SSFIV. I think it was stickbugs biweekly but sp00ky had to come on the mic and say "there is NO SSFIV today, stay free" so its clear nobody really wants to see anything else. It's capcoms world, we just live in it. That said i saw this on SRK from Ghaleon: We'll be posting matches from our official page starting Monday night/Tuesday and releasing them in bunch as we can. Not just SSFIV either, as much handheld, etc. as we can. We get that people are going to steal the stream by now, but hopefully by providing everything in high quality, and be centralizing it all, we can really get a nice hotspot up of SB material.

As a reminder, there will be a set area for GG all day Saturday (where Smash was last year, bowling alley), which will switch to BB for Sunday. So whatever you want to do in terms of the GG Team Tourney, you can do after singles, it's up to you all. We REALLY need equipment guys -- mostly systems. If you're able to provide CRTs that's extra great, but mainly systems/games. I hope you'll be able to help us out to make this exxxtra serious. We will be streaming a LOT because of how much hype we're putting on the older games. We will prob leave it up to the GG players whether they want to finish singles Saturday or wait to stream Top 4 on Sunday -- because we don't want to mess up your groove or anything, I know some tourney players just want to finish and not wait to stream. btw -- SIX days to register! No on-the-spot registration because we're making brackets in advance and keeping the tourneys starting on time. that goes against the ENTIRE point of this year's sb. fuck no, good games need to go on the stream. the streamfags can complain all they fucking want. Cmon dude -- do you think we'd be putting $$ on all these sides games and arranging arcade tournaments if we were only streaming Super? The problem with GG/BB is it's in a section way far away from the main stream area, but that's the compromise we had to make to get GG/BB all its own space away from the other games, which are all Capcom-centric. But this way we don't have to use any of the GG/BB stations for any other games so you're getting guaranteed tourney/casual space that no other game is getting. We can stream GG Top 3 if the Top 3 players want to want until Sunday though. In case that happens, will anyone going be willing to provide color commentary for GG on the Top3 stream? I'll let you guys take what you will out of these quotes. Also, Spooky's main game is Melty, iirc Team Spooky started out as a Melty thing too, and with Melty's large turnout at NEC, I doubt the stream will be a complete Capcom fest then. We can only hope...

This is something I wanted to address (not the Spooky thing, anyone with half a brain would know that what was on the stream was beyond his control). Why do so many people in the BB community always say "lol It's BB, I won't take it seriously"? Seriously, if you want to see the game's scene expand, then show up and make it hype. It's not like most of you guys saying this play GG, or else GG wouldn't be so small. Real talk, if you want your game to get any stream time when competing with SF, then you actually need to support it
