huey253 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 two things that most people aren't aware of. (probably everybody) carl's jAA 3D reset doesn't work on bang due to his hitbox, YAY! bang's FRKZ combos don't work properly on Hakumen for the second game in a row (sad times)
sergetrigger Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 What do you mean frkz doesn't work on haku? Due to timing or spacing?
DLM UNDEAD Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Finally got a new controller. Jesus christ, I gotta break it in, I can't pull off super crash anymore, same goes for D nails... Keep getting j.D instead. Any tips on to break it in faster? Do the motion 50 times on one side and then on the other side of the screen.....
huey253 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 5C hits hakumen too late... the problem in CS1 was that 2C into launcher into j4C doesn't work properly on haku-men most people in here didn't really use frkz in CS1, so i never posted it.
zeth07 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 5C hits hakumen too late... the problem in CS1 was that 2C into launcher into j4C doesn't work properly on haku-men most people in here didn't really use frkz in CS1, so i never posted it. Which combo are you referring to? Because I've done a FRKZ combo with 5C on Hakumen in the middle of it or whatever and it worked fine. I cut the combo short in the end, but it worked like it would any other time it seemed like. I did (on crouching/mid-screen), j.C>5B>2B>2C>6 Dash>5C>6D>6 Dash>2D>and ended it at j.C cause a bumper was right above me. I'm more than positive I could've gone into j.4C>etc. if the bumper wasn't there to potentially mess up my inputs. Obviously you don't need the 5B or 2B for some of his FRKZ combos and I know there are way better ones, but at least that's an example of 5C working like it would anyway. Unless I'm missing something and don't understand what you're talking about.
huey253 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 starter + 2C 6-dash 2D 6-dash 5C 6-dash 2B 9-dash j.4C 2-dash 5C 6-dash 2B 6C 8-dash j.4C 6-dash j.D 2-dash 5C 6D Daifunka second 5C wiffs
huey253 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 maybe i fucked up, i don't actually have a ps3 or bb so i can't test
Chazmobile Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Wow I never knew about that FRKZ combo huey, thanks a bunch.
sergetrigger Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) GOD DAMN YOU CONTROLLER! LET ME DO 6C INSTEAD OF 3C AND LET ME FINISH MY DAMN COMBOS WITH SUPER CRASH ALREADY! D: Anyway, hey does 5b no longer pull in the opponent? I could have sworn it does ala CS1 style. EDIT I swear, 2011 has to be my worst year ever... Now my ps3 has died... YLOD. Def out of commission for a long time. ;__; RIP 80 gig ps3. Word of warning, be careful when going to the store. That's how mine died, I was playing online normally and turned the ps3 off, then read online that the store is back up. Turned it back on after an hour, and died as soon as I got to the store. Zevali Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I noticed that I've been doing better on CS2 than I have on CS1. :I I don't get it.
Zevali Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I think so. I'm forced to not autopilot anymore. Plus, a lot of people are falling for stupid things like blocked 5D into delayed 623B or blah blah 2B into lol cross-up j.4B reset.
huey253 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 don't use 5D/6D in a blockstring vs hazama/tager no reason not to mash jayoku/360A/720C because of how negative they are.
Justice7541 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I've found that 5D > staggered 623B is great in some matchups. Normally 5D would be extremely punishable but since you risk eating a FC that can be followed up from midscreen for big damage, people get scared to try to mash against it. Then you can just do 5D > HURR RUN BACK IN AND 5B AGAIN FOR BLOCKSTRING RESET ON A -15 NORMAL. It's like Bang's version of Jin's 6C > DP.
ZeroRaider Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I think so. I'm forced to not autopilot anymore. Its the 1st step to enlightenment...
Dacidbro Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Yay dustloop is back :] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isDPiVKFEmA

Then you can just do 5D > HURR RUN BACK IN AND 5B AGAIN FOR BLOCKSTRING RESET ON A -15 NORMAL. It's like Bang's version of Jin's 6C > DP. Except infinitely worse. And if anything, use d5A.. but really, against a smart opponent the chances are at best you'll just get off unpunished if you don't 623B. The problem is that execution is working against you here, and for your opponent. If your opponent pushes a button to punish instantly, any amount of delay is punished. If you 623B immediately, if your opponent delayed their punish they can semi-OS the punish, and punish either the late recovery or the 623B. Most likely, you're getting hit. But you're right, the ability to hit a relatively high damage FC there is incentive for people not to punish, and it's nice.
C0R Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Keep in mind 5d is so minus that almost everyone with one can dp after blocking it for free. If you don't follow up the dp with punish you, catching your recovery and if you do, well, you eat dp. Though I guess you could bumper cancel, hmm.
huey253 Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 yeah its more than double the speed of your stein sets hahahaa
Justice7541 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 So I'm thinking, like, whatever in corner > 6D (on block) > Umbrella. Can't figure out any good corner umbrella combos other than just resetting with 5C 6A/6B endlessly though.
