Dacidbro Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 You havent had the full Bang experience until you lose a game fucking up TK astral. Imo I actually completely agree. I think between myself and Dora, there's been over a hundred matches lost for that. Dora's are superior though, he almost always gets the astral out then his opponent just doesn't get hit.. I just use the famous point-blank D Bumper. Did I tell you guys that's how I won my only match with Dora? He TKed an astral and I ducked it, then won the match. Lol. 100% fraudulent, 100% wins
YukiBlue Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) TK D Nails at point blank are my signature finishing move. Honestly. I get salty about screwing it up (It's way into double digits now...) But I think landing 1 erases the salt of all missed opportunities before it. As nothing feels sweeter than TK'ing a spark Bolt. And that really happened with Dora? Take what you can get against him, 100% legit, 100% skill. ALSO Sorry to be late to the party but the basic corner combo ending in j.C A Nail...You can get some mean "Resets" or "Mix ups" after that. Especially 5C or Grab RC. Chazmobile Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 From what i've heard Dora actually seems like a really nice guy. I would love to meet him.
iw2ma Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Hells ya Dora is like my idol here. That guy you inspire to be when you grow up and he's probably not that much older than me lol. But i've lost zillions of rounds on Astral attempts myself, but at the same time it's how i got that Astral trophy only 30 minutes into playing online because i land it so much.
YukiBlue Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 If you make your opponent scared to push buttons the astral is a pretty easy to land…When you dont get the infamous D bumper. Dora is the supreme Bang kaiser. Yet he seems down to earth and friendly. Good combo to have, same with most top bang players like Dacid and Kensou.
Lucalibur Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Bang mains in general are friendly and nice, or at least more than other char mains. Probably because Bang himself is a nice guy, so he attracts nice persons. I cant TK Bang's astral to save my life, but i do take special pleasure in Astral>Shadow stepping projectiles. Feels good to show up from the other side of the screen and Hammer that nail on someone's face, Tager usually being the victim.
YukiBlue Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I just love Shadow stepping. I'm pretty proud of my reaction speed. Spark Bolt and Wave of ice have to be my favourites, though. Spark bolt is almost painfully easy and the superflash of wave of ice makes a naked one completely free to reaction 6D. Simple pleasures... And yeah. Bang players are just chill as fuck, Silent almost non existent universal bromance.

StayFree( ' 3') Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) I'm starting to grow tired of bang's astral. It's just too good and too easy to get on most of the cast. I find the setup into astral more entertaining than the actual astral hit itself. Edited April 28, 2012 by StayFree( ' 3')

Lord Cruxis Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Yo guys I need some criteeks as they say of my bang play... I haven't played in a bit so I'm trying to get the low down again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgRnu_eg5Hk
zeth07 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Yo guys I need some criteeks as they say of my bang play... I haven't played in a bit so I'm trying to get the low down again. My opinion: -Need a better confirm off 2D, it's one of the few moves Bang has that you can literally hit confirm off just itself whether CH or non-CH. 2nd round you did confirm but the combo wasn't good and you went for purple air command throw.... -Some better blocking, but it's netplay so... -That was a bad burst 1st round. You had maybe 1-2% health left and he had maybe 95%. Did you REALLY think you were gonna run it back in that situation? And since it was the first round it wasn't a match deciding situation that you NEEDED to burst. -I don't agree with the combo at the start of the 2nd round. You landed j.4B and even went into 5B standing, but went for a bumper "reset/mixup" off 2C. You just threw away a ton of damage/corner carry and it wasn't like the proceeding combo if you successfully landed a hit would've gave you MORE than that initial combo would've since who knows what hit you would've landed. Now if you started a combo off of maybe 2A or 5A>2A than that'd make a little more sense, but even still. -Didn't pick up the combo off j.D. -You landed a 5C mid-screen and went into 2C, which is "ok" but if it's mid-screen you might as well just go into 5C>5D cause you obviously get a full combo if you land it. It's not as "safe" but it's something to consider. If it was in the corner however, 5C>2C should always give a better combo if I'm not mistaken. -Need a better corner combo in the 3rd round. -Need a better crouching confirm mid-screen, you went into 2C when you should almost always go into 5D. I think it is better to take guaranteed damage into knockdown>oki mixup, instead of dropping damage and going for some other mixup off 2C knockdown. You won the match but I honestly felt like the Valkenhayn was outplaying you most of the time. If his hit confirming and combos were better he probably would've won with the way things were going. It was only 1 netplay match so can't really say much else, and even what I did say I don't know if it matters cause who knows what people are thinking on netplay or how they might play offline.

Edit: Thank you for pointing those things out now I got a list to make things better. Also I thought I was blocking badass in round 3 over the high low high low mix up...till he went low again lol. You know I figured he was wrecking me to and then I won anyways x.x also can you review this match too?

StayFree( ' 3') Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Cause you brag about doing it on netplay too damn much. lol. heey, I spam more astrals offline(ask xie). There's just no offline ggs thread to "brag" on sir. ...not that I would, I've become a much more humble person among my fellow bb brethren. In all seriousness mr. serious zeth, the "ggs get astraled" posts are an inside joke among the EC v. WC guys I play with, and not to be taken seriously/out of context...I'm a nice person Too easy until you're playing someone who knows how to play the game... yo dacid, you gotta introduce me to this gdlk player you speak of. iw2ma Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Maybe a little TOO nice yo. We talking about astraling here, that's death or dishonor right there.

Probably because Bang himself is a nice guy, so he attracts nice persons. So far I've found this true of all people who main ninjas in games I play, but I wasn't really around for GG and the only other game I really play is SG. oh, and hello everyone, it's been forever since I've been in here. I just didn't wanna play CS again, I'll see you all in BB3 though.

You talking about it so much applies no matter what context it is, even if it is a "joke". It's like someone who keeps telling the same stupid joke over and over. Or someone who's annoying and won't stop talking. The more you talk about it, the less people will "care" and it loses it's appeal. Do you know how often I astral people on netplay? Wouldn't it be kinda annoying if every time I did it I had to mention it in a thread? See my point yet?
TD Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 buffer it in the moment you press the 4c. it should be j.4c66. hope that help because l have no idea what i'm talking about

I was told you you get a little hot headed from time to time but daayyum, exaggerate much?? tbh, I was just humoring your post when in reality the last time I mentioned anything about astraling anyone was on 4/9. Clearly something else is bothering you my man. *waits for heartfelt apology* Next time I catch you online zeth, I'll invite you into me and raiza's inner circle for friendly conversing to understand said context, you'll have to grow a sense of humor though. Now stop taking the shit I say on netplay general soo seriously grandpa. Maybe a little TOO nice yo. The nicest. How the hell do you airdash after a j.4C lol. pretty much the opposite of what TD said. What you want to do is to buffer the IAD input at the very end of the j.4C. You now you're not delaying it enough if you find yourself doing a normal jump cancel. buffer it in the moment you press the 4c. it should be j.4c66. hope that help because l have no idea what i'm talking about shoo you!!
