Dacidbro Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I just wanted to suggest that you watch a small sample of other players playing and focus more on just playing. There is no clearer understanding than learning organically. Trust me a lot of the methods you will learn in the videos you will come to learn by just playing (except maybe combos) and will have a much better grasp of it than watching it in a vid. I don't think I can disagree more.. You'll probably never learn most of what occurs in these top level videos, on one's own. I'm not saying it's a replacement for playing, but it's largely a waste of time to be playing with no reference, if one wants to be a strong player.
huey253 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I agree with Dacidbro, all of the top US players have developed into what they are today by a combination of watching JP match videos and playing alot. It is important to see what the best players are doing, but even more important to understand why they are doing it. I'm going to start up my Match Analysis series when midterms are over if you ever get bored.
pianomaster1988 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I'm having problems with guys who like to be airborne and evasive like valk. I hould go after them, pursuit them, wait for them to land... Also, how to use nails properly against this kind of foe?

Also, how to use nails properly against this kind of foe?Bang doesn't really have a direct "One stop" option to fix that really. Just make them respect your airspace. Stay mobile in the air, and if they jump, challenge them. Let them know you're onto them and you're going to stop them from using your space. For Valk specifically. He is woefully bad under pressure. and guess what? Bang has great pressure. You need to understand that when he is in wolf form. He cannot block in the slightest, so D Nails are amazing for approaches in this matchup as if effectively removes one of his strongest options. I prefer TK D Nails here because they bounce straight away and cover a much higher angle. So if they is coming in close and high, you have that option. Other than that. Just make him scared to jump. Let him know he can't do it for free. Be a man and Command grab air jumps. The active frames eat bad jumps alive.

zeth07 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I ended up with some extra money, so I decided to buy CSE, is there any essintial combos or stuff I need to know transefering from CS@? Watch these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTKbtOmabBU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAgcfKkSjDQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb9tqjCh9zM Read this for FRKZ: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12934-BBCSX-FuuRinKaZan-Guide-(v2-0) Which can basically be boiled down to landing this combo, J.C, 2DASH, 5B, 2C, 6DASH, 5C, 6D, 6DASH, 2D, pause, 6C, 8or9DASH, j.4C, 6CANCEL, j.D, 2DASH, land, pause, 2B, (9DASH, j.4C, 6DASH, j.4C, 6DASH, j.4C) x 3, 236236A (ASHURA) 6.8k Dmg 55 HEAT That combo will basically work off almost every hit, and all you need to adjust is whether or not it is 3 loops or 4 loops, and knowing if you start with 5A>5B>2C, you don't include the 6C after 2D and then just use 3 loops. In the corner, just do CS2 Challenge #10, and adjust it accordingly for starter. You are now basically caught up to Extend.
