There are other ghosts out there, gosh. Send servants! Drag a couple with you at least, might help give you an edge.

By the way, I don't know if anyone noticed this but....during the fight with Valentine's final form, you can blow off her arms temporarily and get treasure chests. Then she gets stunned after waving the other arm madly. It makes the whole fight a lot easier on hard....

Or you can stand at the edge of the platform during the beam attack and mash X on her while she blasts, for some decent damage. Very easy boss once you get used to her patterns. Just don't get hit...jesus christ don't get hit.

Is the first fight with Dr. P supposed to be hard as fuck? I captured most of the ghosts and sent servants to attack yet I still get destroyed by Dr. P and his family.

you use dragon install? by the time you reach him you should have a full DI meter

Actually, it gets a lot harder, directly after that fight. One thing I think is hillarious, is that the campaign is really easy if you rush to the masterghost with Sol, and whenever you get enough mana, you just summon as many of the Drill that you can. E-ZAY

Noo..I'm poor when it comes to mana. :vbang: I can't replay earlier missions to regain mana, can I? I'd check if I owned the game myself, I played it at a friend's house.

Mana is per-mission. Capturing Ghosts gives you more mana on a regular basis (look at the +XX mana underneath your mana count).

I lost the first Paradigm fight once or twice before realizing that I could tell Servants to go wherever I wasn't going to capture Ghosts. Then we all met up at his master and just ruined him. I don't think I used Dragon Install, though.

Just ignore most of his servants. They take forever to kill, but are usually pretty easy to outrun. If you have to, just knock them down and go back to what you were doing. They take ages to stand back up, it seems.

Okay so I've been playin it up, on about mission 8. And I've noticed on a game trailer that a Sol player performed a combo (standard operations gattling) and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do. In the trailer he was doing his Side+X wide swips, and then went into a firey punch, then ended it with some kind of body explosion where he kinda released energy from himself and AoE'd everyone around him. Any ideas? Also I've been having trouble linking cancels. I don't mean Modern Cancels, but stuff where (I've seen in videos) the player can instantly enter a Blast Drive on landing, where as the best I can do is enter one a little bit after landing (seemingly no matter how I time the stick click). What's also frustrating is I can't find ANY gaming forums that discuss this game other than this place and GameFAQs, and even then Dustloop only seems to have this thread and nobody's discussing any combo/mechanics at GameFAQs. Help is much appreciated here.

I saw the same vid. That move where he lights up his whole body is that skill of his...the one which increases his defence. I think in the combo he's using that buff and Modern Cancelling it. To instantly blast drive, lock on with RT and then push in the left stick. You'll dash a short distance and can cancel that into an attack. It has a large delay after it, so it's almost like a backwards functionality blast drive.

Oh right, that move. Didn't consider that. Didn't know the actual use caused an AoE damage...

It's called Crimson Jacket btw.

As for the Blast Drive, you misunderstood me. I'm talking after landing from an aerial maneuver the moment the player touches the ground, I've seen them enter a blast drive (seen it in the Sol combo vid on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeU_CH89pSM )

Several times you see the guy Blast Drive ON landing, which I can't seem to do. Ever.

lol an RTS that requires training mode for competitive play. Quite GG. I only have one combo, and I do it a lot. lock on uppercut launcher, jump, two slashes, volcanic viper (should be both hits).

You can extend that combo a little further by doing another air-dash after your first two air-slashes.

I'm a failure. I can avoid the servants on the way to the masterghost but then he has a fuckload of servants waiting for me. I must be doing something wrong there. lol

i know sol mentions in mission 6 where he summons 2 drills without Izunas aid he mentions only being able to make a diatonic composition, which in actual music means a 2 note piece of music

What are you talking about? Diatonic has nothing to do with the number of notes in a piece, it means that the notes in the song are only the tones found within it's key (no accidentals).

So uh, Canada still has NO GG2 stuff on the marketplace? I kinda want Raven.

Yeah, I've gotten a couple reports on that. Will take some time to hear back from Japan and Microsoft to see what's the problem. I'll keep you posted.

I'm requesting this because I think we need more combo vids for GG2. I want to know how the cast play, seriously. Has anyone done that yet...combo vids for: Sol (I've seen this, though nothing with Gear Sol combos...:D) Sin Ky Izuna Dr. Paradigm (in conjunction with his Servants maybe?) Valentine Raven (I'm dying to see a combo vid of him in action!) Even if it's just training mode, we need something!

just got a download of the new version 1.41 i think Dr. P has even LESS life now :gonk: because everyone was obviously playing as him, right? :psyduck: (hint: no one plays as him online) translation plz of patch changes
