So far, from what I can tell, Hazama is considered "weakened", but only 3 changes are posted thus far.

EDIT: Babelfish-fu tells me 5B is now pretty slow, and 5B->3C isn't possible anymore

Chains are slower (but not really noticeable at all)

Ouroboros Guage recovers more slowly (again, this seems pretty unremarkable since you get it back by hitting people anyway.)

Anyone with a stronger knowledge of moonrunes than me, help is appreciated. :)

5b.. 3c isn't possible?

there goes like most of his bnb's and now you have to do 5c > 3c...

google translate says less hit stun on 5b (attack level decrease) and 5b->3c is connecting.. probably means it it doesn't gatling anymore

5b 5c 3c will still work.. and it isn't even confirmed.. ouroboros comment probably means less chains total in combos (ie with FC jayoku you can get 4.. maybe you can only get 3 or 2 now) and more recovery on 623d

5b 5c 3c isn't reliable though you almost always have to do dash 5c to bnb properly (if your 214d~c even connects...)

Before anyone complains about a singular potential nerf to one gatling, Hazama is potentially S tier right now. They need to take something away from him if they're taking away as much as they are from Litchi and Bang.

It sure as hell seems that way after reading all the changes. It's kind of odd that they'd keep Hazama near the top of competitive play instead of just bringing the low tiers (Rachel, Tager, Noel, Tsubaki) up to A/B standards while taking a small amount of priority/range away from bang/litchi.

Tighter execution on 5B>3C isn't a huge deal. Even if it became a 1-frame link it still wouldn't be.

It's not that it's tighter execution, it's that you can't delay it, it has to be done as quickly as possible.

Basically you can't hitconfirm 5b into 3c.

you have to space d moves for them to have that hitstun, without the hitstun of the d moves hazama's zoning would be more or less pointless imo

you're supposed to use the d moves to jump in and j.214B#, if they take that away then that would just be really dumb.

jayoku's fine, without it Hazama could only get like 4.6ish? At best I wanna say.

In the original CS loketests I think Jabaki broke a primer.

I think the current Jabaki is pretty good, it makes a blocked 3C safe.

I guess it's a decent safe midrange poke as well, and if you Jayoku after a CH one it does pretty delicious damage.

oh jesus christ get that shit out of here.

I want to see the actual video and working of how hazama looks with the changes before i make judgement. May just mean 5B, 2C, 3C is the standard gatling now.

Wondered what some of the better Hazama players here would think of the current changes. The list is so small now, but I think it's worth mentioning.

Less hit stun for 5B shouldn't change his BnB's at all. I thought that at first, and was extremely afraid, but it'll just make an immediate followup preferable. It'll be a little harder to use 5B during his short blockstrings now, but it's hit stun wasn't that great to begin with. So depending on how much they reduced it, it'll probably be fine.

I have a feeling that 5B > 214D~A/C will be taken out completely though. Since I think they're implying it doesn't gatling anymore, at least not into 3C, but we'll see. The chains won't make a difference since everyone says they're not noticeable. But maybe less 6D~A's in combos, which doesn't really bother me, or 4D~A's.

What I'm hoping most from these changes is that he gets a new combo or two. I just want jabaki to be comboable without CH. Or even with CH, besides the few options it has.

Its seems that he's about the same from the description. They've just made the timing worse for 5B -> 3C.

I want them to make Jabaki stagger opponents on counterhit instead of wallbounce/push.

ill just probably skip 5B all together and go straight to 3C > combo followup if the 5B nerf is really that bad

overall, these nerfs for hazama aren't too bad

Thinking about it 5B > 3C nerf isn't too bad as long as it's stil a respectable amount of time to follow it up and not a 1 frame window for a bnb

Current 5B > 3C hitstun is actually pretty long.

Wishlist.

Jabaki to do 1/2 screen wallbounce attempt on air hit and stagger on ground CH for follow up combo.

Having jabaki wallbounce wouldnt be too bad since any combos into Jabaki atm are terrible unless theres something I don't know about.

5C > 3C > 214D~C > 5C > 236D ? - 1.5-1.6k? not sure can't check

so like when the opponent is in the corner he has a new combo!!

like 3C > 214D~C > 236D > 5C > 2C .. yeah

And for 6A/6B to be drive/special cancellable
