PhoenonX Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Since I don't know where to bring this up, at the Valk section it shows... "Beast 236A, 236B - wolf charge; A moves horizontally, B moves diagonally upward" In the Bururaji video at the very beginning of the actual Valk gameplay, it shows Valk actually doing a Wolf Charge downward, could there be a Beast 236C command to do that possibly?
Firekid2 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Wait, Platinum was playable at this thing, right? I feel like I've missed something...
ZONG_one Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Read it again, bro. Decrease. Well, then reverse what I said, bro.
rei-Scarred Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Can anyone provide an alternate translation for the "Heavenly Phoenix Thrust no longer causes wallbounce for air and ground"? That makes no sense cause heavenly phoenix thrust is the name of the air one. The ground one is called Double Palm Thrust. I can't even picture what a Bang combo would look like if neither caused wallbounce. He'd have even shorter combos then in CT. Also most of these changes seem pretty legitimate already and they're likely to be even better with more loketests. Here's hoping for a balanced game even though people will never stop complaining either way.
huey253 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 you could still do webnail combos without wallbounce, not the end of the world. combing into daifunka though
Skye Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 His combos won't be shorter, just the ones that involve the Palm Thrusts, and last I checked he had rewarding combos that didn't require them. It's just a loctest, relax, they're experimenting.
natearistata Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I love starting to read that. 'cool, cool, cool *Tager, nothing* Wtf!'
GKHiryu Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Could someone tell them that they're doing it wrong with Tao? I mean, if she's going to loose her Tauntloop then she has, ummm, no damaging tools anymore and will become the new Rachel? I really hope the won't go down that road. If they want to lower the general damage of top combos just take away her AB2 ender option, not the entire TL combo. Better yet, don't take away anything from Tao...
Emerald Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Tao doesn't lose all her damage options. I believe she still has pretty good damage output without the tauntloop. It just isn't as high. I look forward to reading reactions from players that have tried the changes.
Skye Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 Location TEST. They're testing, please cool the jets. Don't hasten the already presumably short life span of this thread.
ZONG_one Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I look forward to reading reactions from players that have tried the changes. Someone has a brain. +42574 points, Emerald.
Dacidbro Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I don't know why anyone would make this thread, it's going to be even worse than the Matchup thread.
Yggjrasil Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Ragna 3C can be teched. wait what, it-its a sweep...You're not supposed to.. ah whatever. 5B 6A Gatling gone wow. Now that's going too far. even if this is the 1st Loketest. Hopefully, they don't bust what they did with Rachel to Ragna.
GKHiryu Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Sorry if I sounded like too much of a fanrage, but it's just an easy thing to screw up. Just to clarify@Emerald. Of course she still has some good damage options, no denying that. Still, I don't think many will disagree that tauntloop was her strongest tool in competitive play. If she's going to loose that, then 500 - 1000 health gain doesn't make up for that. (I'm just assuming the health numbers, but that can't be more.)
huey253 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 its not like your ability to do combos will be gone, just double berial edge combos.
Yggjrasil Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 at least he still has his absurd meter gain. but the fact that they can tech from 3C means no more strong oki game from BE combos.
ZONG_one Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I don't know why anyone would make this thread, it's going to be even worse than the Matchup thread. Ay yo refer to post #2 for agreement.
Seifersythe Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 These changes are far more elaborate then I ever expected. Talk about bang for your buck. BBCR could be a while off if they're giving this away for free. Good on you, ASW.
rei-Scarred Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 There's currently not a single practical combo that doesnt have at least 1 palm thrust and most have 2. Also I don't think there's a web nail combo with no palm thrusts that does over 2500 damage and if his damage output turns into that he NEEDS those nails for pressure. But in all honesty it depends a lot on new proration values as well. Who knows he might have a new 623Bless combo that does over 3K with no web nails. But I think it's kind of mean to make us relearn our character regardless of whether he ends up worse or better than before. Ok ill wait for more info now. First impressions pretty meaningless.
huey253 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 bang's average damage was stupid before hand. 2000 dmg combos are totally fair.
Yggjrasil Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 ASW certainly knows how to stir up people with unnecessary buffs and retarded nerfs, I'm wondering if Capcom had a hand in this...?
Kristoph Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Not sure of the implications of the actual Jin buffs, but just the fact that their mindset is to buff him pleases me. He really doesn't need it.
ZONG_one Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 But I think it's kind of mean to make us relearn our character regardless of whether he ends up worse or better than before. You already did once. Hell, I had to LEARN a character, since in CT all I had to do was learn one combo and I won regardless of who I was fighting.
Spirit Juice Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 3C can be teched. wait what, it-its a sweep...You're not supposed to.. ah whatever. My guess is that 3C air hits are techable, not grounded ones. Kinda makes sense. lol @ Makoto's parry loop being removed. Niggas tryin' to holla at me that it was intentional. Get that shit out of here.
MisterBadguy Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Could someone tell them that they're doing it wrong with Tao? I mean, if she's going to loose her Tauntloop then she has, ummm, no damaging tools anymore and will become the new Rachel? I really hope the won't go down that road. If they want to lower the general damage of top combos just take away her AB2 ender option, not the entire TL combo. Better yet, don't take away anything from Tao... Tao can still do 4k meterless consistantly, it just doesn't give her the oki options tauntloop does. I'm guessing they finally took away the reverse P2 on taunt, which kinda makes me sad honestly. Anyway, wtf are they thinking making Rachel's 6b remove a primer AND be jcable on block? Especially when their letting j.2c cancel into normals on land again? -_- Seems a little too good to me, but Rachel in general <3 Now let's hope she doesn't lose too much in the following loketests.
