Hakuman, top 6, get buff and nearly evryone get nerfs...ok...ok ARC... I know right? that snow flake animation is so OP. but I can't see him getting much more.
felipebwk Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 the haku. buffs are very, very small. The thing is...evryone in top 6 is getting nerfs (hazama, arakune...) and "Huge" nerfs ( Ragy, litch...) only mid and low tiers are getting deserved Buffs, especialy Rachel, tsubaki... Haku. will stay the same? WTF! he need lose something, too !
Lufenia Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I'm happy for Tsubaki players. hopefully she'll go up some tiers. :0 and question about the new info on rachel, what did they mean her airdash+wind is faster? I thought it was already super fast.. D:? or am I just misunderstanding.

Haku. will stay the same? WTF! he need lose something, too ! Haku-men in CS is the most balanced char in the game imo. He doesn't need nerfs and seriously i wouldn't call any of those buffs, 5D is almost worthless since almost every situation it can be used you just do jD instead and jD are usually followed up with 5C which is special cancelable, so it doesn't really change anything imo. Snow animation on yukikaze is imbalanced though, nerf!
felipebwk Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 as I said before, these are very small buffs, it's almost like he is the same haku. from "C.S"... i agree whit you! hakumen is balanced and perfect as a character ( from C.S 1.01 ), the thing is, evrybody, except for Haku., in the top 7, is getting nerfs.... In this first loctest ragy get destroyed, same thing to licht and for bang... Arakune get damage nerfed, hazama get small nerfs, carl get good nerfs (not sure, i know nothing about carl), but haku. is the same as before, a strong top 7 character ! Haku is balanced, yes, you are right, he's very good in C.S (same level of Ragy, carl, arakune and ,in my oppinion, hazama). but... if you make evryone of the other characters weaker he will get unfair advantage... can you get my point? note: sorry for my english...
Sophisticat Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Haku doesn't need changing if he's the most balanced. The others need the change. -_- Anyway, I'd actually buff him even more. His 6a and 6b aren't useless, but they're close to it. I'd also like to see some mixup options off Kishuu like with UL Haku which would, of course, cost mag. Unlikely to be implemented since his hop provides for roughly the same kind of pressure, but it'd be cool to have.
mundus Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Yeah 6B should combo when its a overhead. I don't really see i point for that attack atm.
FlyingVe Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Breaks primer and knocks people down. It's not that bad, it just doesn't have damage potential.
Sophisticat Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Breaks primer or knocks people down. It's not that bad, it just doesn't have damage potential. Fixed. Plus, the primer break isn't that good. 6c does so much more safely. If the other is on his last primer, you have to RC if you hit with the first hit of 6b. Stupid. You can combo off 6b, but it's an extremely situational link into 5a from a CH bounce hit on the second hit of the attack. Like, whoa. Knockdown's not that good except in the corner, but at least it does have it.

Haku-men doesn't have any matchup where he dominates except maybe vs low tier characters, which will be buffed in CSII. He will not suddenly become S-tier if everybody above him was nerfed, Bang and Litchi needed nerfs, the Ragna nerfs are a little bit harsh though. Carl and Hazama is also pretty balanced imo and they only get mild nerfs (so far we don't know how the final version will look). PS. They can nerf the hell out of Arakune and he will still be op in some way, trust me.
FlyingVe Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Carl and Hazama is also pretty balanced imo and they only get mild nerfs (so far we don't know how the final version will look). Lol, no. Carl and Hazama are only out classed by Bang and Litchi. But yeah, they aren't outrageously broke, just better than the other characters.
Sindelian Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 People actually want MORE for Hakumen? That's like Bill Gates asking for a raise in his allowance. Can someone please explain to me why Noel got more nerfs than buffs? Surely there much be a riddle here to be solved.
mundus Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Lol, no. Carl and Hazama are only out classed by Bang and Litchi. But yeah, they aren't outrageously broke, just better than the other characters. The only characters which they walk over are low tier (Tager) and maybe Rachel in Carls case. The definition of op imo is when half the cast is at least 6-4 in your favor, neither Carl nor Hazama is like that imo. They can win every matchup, they can also lose almost every matchup. Can't get much closer to balanced than that.
Alex073088 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 hakumen with good mix-ups, or more useful pressure would mean he would need a damage nerf.i really feel like hakumen is one of the more easier characters in the game to win and use(lol scrubs), please we really do not want him to be the next ct top threes, or cs top twos.
Sophisticat Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 People actually want MORE for Hakumen? That's like Bill Gates asking for a raise in his allowance. If you know how to fight Haku, you'll find out he's relatively easy to zone outside of his effective range. His pressure and mixup also suck since you need mag to make them effective. Counters can be baited and have very long recovery times. Take that, make him waste stars, and you have your dead Haku.

Haku-men is not easy, he one of the most strategic characters in the game and his links are hard for BB combos. If 6B was comboable it would scale badly, it already does i think, since when i actually land a blue beat combo after that it doesn't lead to more than 2k damage or so. Edit, he is however a noob basher, but so is Tager and Ragna.

Yeah, they aren't game-breakingly dominating, but they are sure as shit OP.
NumeroGaijin Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Regardless of what ppl say there is going to be a top 3 or top whatever. *Sits and waits for the next top three for people to complain about*
What Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Ragna Carnage Scissors sends your opponent spinning away. Proration got worse, techable. I hope since there messing around with moves like this they'll improve some of the near useless aspects of some characters moves; such as giving the first hit of carnage scissors stagger animation and letting you be able to link a 5b or something after delaying carnage scissors.
Mizzet Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Can someone please explain to me why Noel got more nerfs than buffs? Surely there much be a riddle here to be solved. What nerfs were there? 5d having less invulnerability is not exactly an easy thing to test for, might be less, might be the same. I'll hold my judgment until I get more more than just anecdotal evidence. 22b/c changes were described as negligible, we'll see. 22b's change gets translated as either 'hitbox narrowed' or 'reduced range', the latter might actually be a buff as 22b hitting so far away is what makes haida loop spacing difficult on anyone that's not Tager/Hakumen/Bang. In any case, you could completely remove haida loops and Noel wouldn't be that affected, you can get comparable damage (100-150 less at most) for far less effort with her 623d 66c link combos, and this is compared to a full 4 rep haida. Depending on how fast the new j.4d is it could be very very good. Right now it's literally not used at all. 2c>5c is like.. a 100 dmg increase to her piss poor abare if you don't hitconfirm your 5a's and 2b's to 6a, so now you can do 5b 5c 2c 5c. Meh, anything helps, it's a start. Overall I'm pretty optimistic, and it's the first loketest anyway, no point losing too much sleep over it.
LordSpectreX Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 When will the next loketest be done? This is my first time following one.

Yeah, delaying/cancelling Carnage Scissors manually really needs a use by now.
felipebwk Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 "the Ragna nerfs are a little bit harsh though." . little bit harsh !? They have take a lot of very good things from Ragy, that has a Huge, like godzila, Nerf! Ragna C.S is as balanced as Haku, he sure have a very good damage but his mix up is only "normal", his grab is weak, his 6b over head is slow, the only thing that make his mix good is "rapid cancel"... i have to adimit, his heat gain is broken, in Duble belial combo, but if you take d. belial his heat gain turn in some thing very balanced... I really hope the final version of Ragna has a level at least comparable to the current version! I believe that makes him less "button masher" is something good, do it and makes it more difficult to "master" is something interesting, but take many of their key weapons and throws it in the bottom tier of the list is very sad!
Spirit Juice Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Carnage Scissor nerf doesn't even make any sense.
