[CS2] Rachel Loketest Discussion (Keep shit in this thread)

As to not transform the sanctuary thread into a lolfest, discuss changes here.

RECENT CHANGES COMPILATION:

+ Overall damage has been increased from CS (Though in the 5th location test overall damage was decreased).

+ j.A is an overhead again.

+ 5B>2B gatling added (This cannot be looped though).

+ 6B is jump cancellable on block.

+ Lobelia’s don’t disappear when hit, but they won’t do any damage or connect if hit.

+ Frog can be reset (Frog has it Gauge bar).

+ Tempest Dalia has a faster start up on Lv. 3 and Lv. 4. It acts like Yamada-San (GG May's Whale Super). Guaranteed damage even if hit.

+ Winds effects movement more and increases the speed of her air dashes.

+ 6A’s priority has increased, and has a bigger and longer guard point.

+ 6B>6C gatling added.

+ 6C forces standing.

+ 3C hits higher.

+ Tempest Dalia consumes no wind stock when used.

+ j.2c on landing can now cancel into normals, even on block.

+ On counter hit, 2C can connect with j.C without the usage of wind stock.

+ Pumpkin is much faster, can reach the other side of the screen in an instant, and has received an increase in attack level.

- 6B causes slide on counter hit. Can only combo off of in the corner on counter hit.

- j.A>j.2C does not gatling, but j.B>j.2C can.

- 2C’s hit stop has been increased.

- It’s harder to combo off of 5CC since it now causes slide.

-A Lobelia’s recovery has been increased, but it’s not CT status slow.

- The damage done by set-up rods for Baden Baden Lily has been decreased.

- j.2c is no longer an overhead.

- Wind recovery is really slow at first, but as it gets going it recovers really fast.

- In past location tests, j.2C on landing was jump cancellable, even on block. In the 5th test, that has been removed.

- George now has less health.

- Lv. 2 j.2c bounces higher.

9/9/10 LOKETEST CHANGES:

Rachel:

Overall damage increased

5B>2B gattling added

6A activation speed increased

6B on counter slides

6B jump cancel possible on block

2C hit stop increased

5C>C now slides. Mid screen C lobelia>3D> Sword iris/BBL combos. In corner 5C>C>3C can be done for 2 loops.

j2C can be canceled into attacks on landing

Lobeilas come out even when hit

George has been changed (there's a frog gauge now)

Tempest dahlia? what the heck is that? [i think he means it's been removed].

8/10/10 LOKETEST CHANGES:

- Pumpkin buffed, maybe. Doesn't go away on hit? Can't really tell.

-レイチェルはやっとテンペストダリア強化。発生がかなり早く山田化。5Bからつながる

-風回復初めはものすごく遅くなった。かわりに勢いがつくまでの時間が早く

6AがAMショーから弱くなった。アーマー付くのが遅いっぽい

6B does something and Rachel gains an overhead. <3 5B 2B is great and yesss~ Guaranteed Lobelia. Now they just need to make that shiz not bounce off of other projectiles. :psyduck:

Also... is j2C cancellable on hit or block or both?

EDIT: Nevermind. :3 It's both. <3 Landing recovery on hit and block can be normal cancelled. :yaaay:

Yeah. That's a weird-ass corner loop.

But... I think on block and hit is fine. Since she has to be low enough to land before she can actually cancel into something. And I'm not 100% sure on this, but I heard from someone that j2C might not be an overhead anymore. :psyduck: So... IMO that's fair. The only thing it'd really change is making the 6C -> super low j2C useless.

frog is buffed. idk how the new frog meter is working, but now you can summon another frog while frog is already out.

Does that mean frog meter only has to charge after George is destroyed or discharged? Cause if so, YES!

I agree with Geno on 6b being jcable on block. It's a little OTT if you ask me. Even if j.2c is no longer overhead (also, who gave you that info Polka? please share!), j.a is, so you're only one iad away from establishing (loose) pressure.

Someone up here who can read Japanese posted a translation of the JPN website. But... uh... being that it's a translation, I dunno how accurate it is. So don't quote me on that. And... uh... the translation did say that 6B breaks primers. So I dunno. :psyduck:

Pretty sure that level 1 j2C doesn't though.

EDIT: Nevermind. I asked Spark and the blog (where the loketest information that's flying around from) doesn't say anything about 6B breaking primers. So that could be bad info or maybe noted from another source. :psyduck:

He's not sure on the change to j2C from being a high to a mid. We'll probably know more as more information comes out. The loketests are like... 2-3 days.

but we deffff need head invul for 6a, and reduced pumpkin recovery, otherwise, everyone gets to jump in on her for free, but i'm glad CH 6B actually will let you do something now

I saw the 6B breaking primers thing from a translation from someone on another forum which will not be named. A couple people here translated the same line to "6B is jump cancellable even on block." So I think somewhere in there is where the mistranslation came from. I'm pretty sure 6B won't be breaking primers. That is just crazy powerful.

There's a lot of info to sift through in a different language, especially on this particular character. Mistakes will probably be common at this point.

Either way, sorry for getting people riled up, I just caught some bad info :p

Hyped for these buffs, but still worried about 6a. That and with TD gone apparently, do you guys think we will get a new DD? Something not useless. Also rofl @6b breaking primers. If it did, that would be too much, I'd certainly abuse it. >>;

TD certainly didn't hurt to have as an option. Occasionally it would go through a Lambda or Hazama projectile. And crossing under someone during the middle of a Tempest Dahlia is the most fun to be had, period. It's also off the ground at frame 1 (little-known fact), which BBL ISN'T, so it's a hilarious way to hit spinny Tagers. But yeah, I'm not really sure they did say it was removed. They don't really say anything solid about it. Hopefully it's not, and they do something to make it more useful. Because I like options. Really, even just a general damage buff might make it worth using more.

yeah i hope they give her a 2nd DD, they might as well just keep TD if they don't think its useful. they gave bang ashura...

but i'm hype!!! we'll have more rachel players coming back!

Hopefully, TD was pretty bad, but it did come in handy from time to time. I'd be nice to keep it and get something new. Many characters have 3 DDs and well yeah. But if 6a gets buffed and these changes remain, I'd be more than happy. 3rd DD would be kinda cool though.
