soujiro seta Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 You rachel mains are gonna have an orgy when CS2 comes out huh? Anyway be prepared for the traitors (Spirit Juice, kro, and others) to return. If you guys have any decency whatsoever you'd accept them in, feed them and confort them into believing that they are welcomed. Only to crucify them on the cross and set an example to others who think they can leave her and come back. How dare you leave rachel and think you can return just when you feel like it. This is a till death do us part relationship. Once you leave, there is no coming back. I'm going to take this approach with Platinum, and I will hunt all the non-believers that abandon her at the first sight of nerfs during any system patch/loctest. Now, I don't play rachel so the decision is totally up to you guys, but I thought I'd just throw that out there. Just incase.
tofurr Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I understand the reason for leaving her if you're a competitive player who goes to tournaments, so if they come back it's all good. We need more Rachel mains, and ones that are going to be beastly with her too so there's more than just Jason D. Anyways, stunedge posted this, "Rachel: it seems like pumpkin's attack level is increased, 2D>JA and J3AD works as overhead but requires at least 2 winds for combo after JA, 6A has a bigger and longer guardpoint"
kirbster Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 6a useful again and pumpkin attack level increased... it's like every single one of our prayers has been adressed now. I wonder how many of these changes will actually stick to the final release.
unsanctifier Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I'm going to 6A niggas all day everyday.
Sindelian Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Updated list: + Overall damage increased. + j.A is an overhead again. + 5C>C now slides. Mid screen C lobelia>3D> Sword iris/BBL combos. In corner 5C>C>3C can be done for 2 loops. + 5B>2B possible. + 6B>6C possible + 6B on counter slides, untech time decreased, jump cancellable on block. + j2C can be canceled into attacks on landing, jump cancelable, both on hit and block. + Wind increases the speed of her air dashes. + Tempest Dahlia is stronger, faster, can be connected from 5b, and doesn't consume wind. + Pumpkin is much faster, can reach the other side of the screen in an instant, and received an increase in attack level. + 6A went from CT status from the first test to CS status to the second test to back to CT status in the third test. + Wind affects movement more. + 6C forces standing. + 3C hits higher. − Wind recovery is really slow at first but once it gets going it recharges fast. − Lobeilas come out even when hit, slower recovery. = j.A > j.2C won't connect, but j.B > j.2C does. = George has been changed (there's a frog gauge now). ? 2C hit stop increased. Edit: added more stuffs
Alex073088 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 last weekends loketest said that they lose hit effect but the rod still sets, i really hopethis isnt permanent. she really needs it to always hit. i have been in way to many situations in cs where this would have helped me out in obvious jump ins or run ins

If you're a competitive player, then nobody can blame you for ditching Rachel. As for anyone else... :| You will never be forgiven. Kidding aside{maybe}, Rachel is looking mighty strong, considering how much everyone is getting nerfed.
Kuuhaku Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Hmm... still think that 6B should gatling into 5C, but 6C is good enough. I just want lobelia to not bounce off of projectiles. That shiz is gay yo... mostly because the number of stupid things that count as projectiles. :V Like Noel... in the air, spamming bullets. But, I like that 6A will be amazing, Rachel will have mix ups, and her damage won't make you cry a little on the inside every time you see your opponent's health bar. If these changes stick (and if the US ever gets CS2), it'll be happy times. First thing I'll do is go out and troll Bang with jA until I feel satisfied.
mAc Chaos Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 This makes me wonder if CS2 is going to still be a "balance" patch. It's becoming way bigger than that.
Sindelian Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 This makes me wonder if CS2 is going to still be a "balance" patch. It's becoming way bigger than that. It's never a balance patch, it's a jumble-the-tier-list patch.

Lol, bullets But it would make sense to have 6B gattle into 6C, that way you need to use wind to poke -> combo, she is getting pretty high-tier, so its totally understandable eh?
Kuuhaku Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Noel: :D *spins in the air, not blocking or doing anything important* Me: *shoots cannons* Bullet shells?: <3 We're projectiles~ Lol too bad~
unsanctifier Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Muzzle Flair ftl. Also, all I'm really waiting for now is george's proration to drop.
Sindelian Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Muzzle Flair ftl. Also, all I'm really waiting for now is george's proration to drop. Her overall damage increased, so it probably already did.

Great, nothing like having to back off from your opponent because your wind gauge didn't replenish during that last combo. At least all that time I spent learning how to block won't go to waste in CSII.
ざわ…ざわ Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 From the Loketest thread: Rachel + Wind affects movement more. + 6C forces standing. + 3C hits higher. Do moves that 'force standing/crouching' do so on block as well as hit? This is a pretty good improvement to 6C.

That would be pretty weird if it forced you to stand on block. I'd say it's probably just on hit, but still, it'll make 6c a little less aggravating.
Gil Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 3c might be techable now, how do you guys feel about this?

At least all that time I spent learning how to block won't go to waste in CSII. I'm with you. I think wind should replenish when she's in the air... I really have no idea as to why it wouldn't. I would seriously give up like five of those buffs just to have decent wind regeneration.
gli Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 If wind replenished while you are in the air then that could lead to some cheap "stay in air all day" shenanigans if the rate at which it is recovered is fast enough. I'm thinking wind all the way off screen and then float with j.CC and wind upward as it regenerates.
unsanctifier Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 3c might be techable now, how do you guys feel about this? As long as its not like, instant techable, whatever. If I can still catch them falling with it and juggle into george attack/a loeb I'm fine.
gli Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Assuming there is a console patch / America can get the Arcade version working then yes proceed to exact revenge.
unsanctifier Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I think we should all meet up in one East cost city, traveling from arcade to arcade (if we get an arcade release >.>) just fucking people up with rachel. We'll have black cloaks and shit. We'll keep traveling west until we pwn up noobifornia. Travel to Japan. And as one. 5CC them all. Anyone else in?
TD Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 l'm down. Bangs first, Then Ragna, then Hazama. Those 3. Are going. To fucking. Die.
