Ryudrake Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Umm...I don't get how 6A forcing a crouch is bad. Doesn't that mean they have more hit stun? Unless I'm missing something here...
Yuushiro Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 (edited) it's not bad at all, I am just translating it as it is from gyuudon blog and it was on the same line as cannot be special cancellable anymore. Edited November 19, 2010 by Yuushiro
xlolxlolx Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 here's the theory: if you hit CH 6A(lol never gonna happen unless they mash very hard) then you can link 5C, so on regular hit it could be possible to do 2A>5C>2C>6C>2D>6C>214C for ok-ish damage since you probably won't be able to do something like 2A>5C>6C>2D>6C>DC>5C>6C>DC>j.C>JC>j.2C>j.214D>6C>214C after hitting a 2A
Roldy Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Well, if they're against the corner, then you can try 6A CH > 5C > 6C > 6D > whatever. Apparently, 623D, 6C, and 6D have same move proration (corrections?), so our options are limited.
Linear04 Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 since 6a has a bit of start up, i'd rather say that you'd only get a ch if they saw it and tried to counter hit out of it, but were too late, so its probably not likely you would get it if they were mashing you'd just get hit out of it

Apparently, 623D, 6C, and 6D have same move proration (corrections?), so our options are limited. only 623D has same move proration, no more hirensou loop but you can replace your second hirensou with j.214D anyways so it shouldnt be much of a problem at all. @linear soz i wasnt clear :x i meant if they tried to mash out of ice like after a 2D or 6D and you go to reset them
xlolxlolx Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 no like hitting 6A on first frame once they break out of ice
Linear04 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 oh, like they were trying to mash tech out of ice for some reason? lol
Moy_X7 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 No, like they were trying to mash simply for the sake of mashing and getting out of pressure for free.
lxMetalSonicxl Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Wow, a good sign that Jin is already looking strong. We gonna have some good times in CS2.
LordSpectreX Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Looks like I picked the right time to start tierwhoring Jin. Lol. So with 623D nerfed, where will Jin's main source of damage come from now?
Ownagepuffs Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Looks like I picked the right time to start tierwhoring Jin. Lol. So with 623D nerfed, where will Jin's main source of damage come from now? I'm guessing it won't. He'll just deal damage consistently until they die. No more random 6C = 4-7k Shenanigans
Ownagepuffs Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 CT jin was all about blue beat combos and hilarious purple throw combos Which CT where you playing? Jin was about being good at everything which made wins pretty damn easy for him unless the opponent was top 3. Blue beats and hilarious purple throws only pertain to America :D
Ashen Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Yeah, CT Jin was high tier in america for the wrong reasons.
Jourdal Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Which CT where you playing? Jin was about being good at everything which made wins pretty damn easy for him unless the opponent was top 3. Blue beats and hilarious purple throws only pertain to America :D Yeah lol, that video i posted was me trolling because my friend was loltager. But most peoples complaints about jin were "ICE IS TOO CHEAP,STOP SPAMMING ICE CARS,OMG WAGGLE" (the last one is genuinely annoying though). Hardly anyone had REAL reasons why they found jin annoying (in america).
smooshman Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Looks like I picked the right time to start tierwhoring Jin. Lol. So with 623D nerfed, where will Jin's main source of damage come from now? we have a lot of corner combos that don't involve more than 1 623D, hell even double hirensou loops have to start from a good starter to work.

Blue beats and hilarious purple throws only pertain to America :D naw man, netplay even japanese use it, he was good in CT cuz he could safely pressure after a 5C, ex ice car having great proration and hirensou starter in corner = godly damage
bbq sauce Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 With forced crouch from 6A.. and presuming the plus frames on block means either, the level of the move inscreased, or, the recovery decreased... does this mean that a 2A might link from 6A? or is this too much to hope for?
Yuushiro Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 they already say it. it doesn't connect to anything on non CH.
shadow2bolt Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 6A CH can follow into 5C. Can't remember if it was ONLY on CH though (unless this was old loketest). Also, is it only forcing into crouch position on hit and not block?

Linear04 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 forcing crouch on block would be retarded, lol basically CH 6A > 5C 6A> nothing unless RC > 5C can't special cancel can't gatling into anything CH6A > 5C is a link.
