xlolxlolx Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 tetsu got like 92% win rate with ~118 games with jin on bbcs2.net rankings, gyuudon said he got 50 win streak 6A being safe on regular block can mean that it's anywhere from +x frames to -4 frames since fastest move is 5 frames
Yuushiro Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 yup..., that's what they need to figure out.... the real condition of 6A I guess..., that's also from the updated ushi block..., but it seems a very good buff for jin.
xlolxlolx Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 it'll be useful if you can actually do like 2A on regular hit so you can get a small combo off of it
Yuushiro Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 yea..., it's comboable to 5C on CH though.... but they have to mash stuff for us to be able to land a CH or make it a frame trap or something....
xlolxlolx Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 would be possible if 3C>236C still worked, but a frame trap to sneak a move with 18 frames of startup....maybe backward throw crossup 6A
Yuushiro Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 added air throw is not cancelllable into anything
Remiri Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 @Dragkonias: I think I am misunderstanding your post, you hint towards disagreeing with me but then your last sentence hints towards agreeing with me I guess I should clarify my meaning, given the CS and now CSII changes, I think most scrub players will flock back to Jin and Tager. 5D is a large reason even if it does not lead to heavy damage, it was an amazing long-range poke with little vulnerability except on startup. People who actually wish to play well can choose Jin or other characters with their gimmicks, but most low-level players will stick with the basics and play simple characters like Jin, Ragna, Tager, and Bang. Out of those 4 I am predicting a high representation of Jin and Tager. Does not really mean much unless the only option you have to play people is netplay tho
Zeal Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 ehhh, 5D maybe faster, but I still think it's going to be shitty. it doesn't have CT hitbox.
J-KT21 Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 ehhh, 5D maybe faster, but I still think it's going to be shitty. it doesn't have CT hitbox. CT hitbox was godlike. CS hitbox is good. What will make it anything near 'shitty' is that you can't follow up with anything afterward and that again, can be fair enough.
Yuushiro Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 gyuudon said the new 6A might be +5 on block.
Linear04 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 5d still has a large hitbox. its problem was its slow start up and not comboing into anything after unless it was a D special or off of a counter hit. the slow start up has been buffed so its going to get more use now
Remiri Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Basically Jin is going to dominate the mid-range game with 5D and j.C pokes being fast and hard/impossible to punish on block. The only question is if CH 5D leads to anything noteworthy.
xlolxlolx Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 if it works as an AA like it did in CT then it'll be fine
J-KT21 Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Don't justify 5D, it was terrible in CS :/ That isn't what I'm trying to do. I'm justifying CS2 5D. I know it is terrible in CS. if it works as an AA like it did in CT then it'll be fine I wouldn't mind if it doesn't. I remember playing CT like it was stupid Street Fighter, playing my so-called footsies with my longest and safest pokes. Didn't combo a whole lot and usually went back to neutral resets.
xlolxlolx Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 CT jin was all about blue beat combos and hilarious purple throw combos
J-KT21 Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 CT jin was all about blue beat combos and hilarious purple throw combos I obviously combo'd off 5D with blue beat, that's I think, something all Jin players did. But I don't see why would 5D be shitty if it has quicker startup than CT's (even though it does not combo into anything)? It seems that it will be a good keep-away poke that will scare your opponent, sometimes good enough for you to keep pressuring them unsafely. Then again, I could be completely wrong.
xlolxlolx Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 i'm just grateful that we get a decent poke that has a good hitbox again
Jourdal Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 CT jin was all about blue beat combos and hilarious purple throw combos Present and accounted for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0iZ-WJROnI&feature=related#t=2m25s Also....6A being plus and breaking primers? this excites me.
Dragkonias Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Present and accounted for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0iZ-WJROnI&feature=related#t=2m25s Also....6A being plus and breaking primers? this excites me. Man do I miss being able to combo jB from 5C.
Jourdal Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Im not making a wishlist or anything but, that is the ONLY thing i really miss about CT jin.
Moy_X7 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Man do I miss being able to combo jB from 5C. Heheh, I usually do those 5C > j.B combos on Tager since Sekka-Jin > 6C > 2D seems to whiff on his ass more often than not.
xlolxlolx Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 3C>236C dun work last time i saw 3C>236D on everyone in corner but no info about that for this loketest
