The only reason why people think Ara is high tier is because most players have little matchup experience against him, and so every idiot falls for his gimmicky tricks, and then don't block his mixup. Seriously. 19/20 players I face fall for 2a 6a 5D, and some of those are players who I know are much better than me. You know who also doesn't have any 6.5 matchups in CS? Bang. Must be low tier. Why they nerf Bang, he low tier, etc. I seriously don't understand why people are surprised that a character who can jump to the top of the screen, out of anyone's reach, and do whatever he wants completely safe up there while an unblockable cloud gets him free curse for zero effort would have that be nerfed. As an aside, anyone who thinks Arakune has shitty mixup needs to learn to mix up better. If you can't get past someone's guard in all of 15 seconds of safe instant overheads, lows, crossups, and tick throws then maybe fighting games aren't for you. Hell, you don't even have to worry about them fighting back because his bugs stay out on block, which is easily the stupidest thing ever.

There are only a few characters in the game that can do true cross ups (and most of them are cross under gimmicks off of neutral tech situations), and off the top of my head, the only other character with an unreactable overhead would be Valkenhyne. No character in the game can really keep you locked down for 10 seconds all the time either.
