In theory, from the data I wrote down some months ago:

TK Swallow Moon > JA : 20F

TK Swallow Moon > JB : 21F

TK Swallow Moon > JC : 25F

TK Swallow Moon > J2C : 25F

Hmm, so her 6B is also 20F. >_>

Hakumen:

6B : 18F

TK Tsubaki : 19F

Zantetsu : 21F

Step Tsubaki : 23F

Does any rising air normals work as overheads? (JB?)

Nope. You can't cancel a hop until the 8th frame or so. For a TK though it's just the jump startup.

j.B works as a rising overhead. But if you're going to count those we should probably count instant overheads that Litchi and some others can do.

Which starts on Thursday.

ArcSys will be there, but they haven't announced anything what they are going to do there. But, it should be BlazBlue, really.

Incidently, UN is also released on Thursday so, fighter game future will decide on thursday.

What is this? o.o

Can't Rachel use wind to use A on rising?

Maybe in CP she'll get hakumens jb, since no one likes hakumen anymore :) (even though he's not really cheap lol).

Does that mean I can be a BB hipster now?

Play Tager then.

I played Hakumen before he was handicapped.

Same, and that goes for pretty much everyone here who posts useful shit in the hakumen threads.

The thing about Hakumen is that he doesn't really feel like a defensive character anyway. The character gets a lot of mileage off j.B and Kishuu in EX and neither are defensive moves. Noel is the real defensive character...you always pay for trying to attack her. The only comparable thing is Haku's j.D in CS1.

Well, even if you say that, I don't feel that Hakumen is that much harder to open up compared to other characters either.

Hakumen should have been something like a Mitsuru who can't run and doesn't have her strong mixup (without stars).

That's because they keep raping his defense every game.

Plus, I mean, he has to be good at something, right. Or at least, is supposed to be. If it's not defense, then are you saying you think his attack is better? It could be true in Extend with the damage and corner carry he gets.

We are in agreement there; basically, my view is that even though Hakumen is supposed to be defensive, ASW don't actually want to design him that way.

You guys dealt with Hakumen vs Arakune in CT. I don't think anything would be able to drag you away from maining him after that.

IIRC we could Kishuu > 6D his clouds. As incomplete as Hakumen was back then, I was a hell of a lot better with him back then than I am now. I was even able to give Pisces a run for his money a few times. I think I won...once or twice...

That's relative, just because you wont more, doesn't mean their design direction was on point lol. There are many factors that would affect how good you are with each iteration of hakumen, one being how much time you put into the game.

You know what I'd really like to see out of Hakumen? More control over star use -> dmg.

As it is, stars are used for special moves, but more stars doesn't always equal more dmg dealt. His output as of EX is actually quite linear. What I thought would be cool would be that the more stars he uses in a combo the more dmg he dishes out. He used to be that way in CT, sorta. His burst dmg was at least much more potent than it is now, and made it a bit more unpredictable to know when to burst, I think.
