@Spark, overall how do you feel about Hakumen in CP compared to his other iterations, which ones (CT-CSEX) were your favourites and do you feel if Hakumen is too strong of a character without OD?

mAc, are you gonna get a ps3/ps4?

Hakumen is overpowered, everyone else bites the dust the end.

but no seriously i honestly feel his damage is balanced in CP outside of OD.

OD just turns on his "Real Man" switch and then the funerals start.

It doesn't seem very easy for him to get opportunities to break 6k in CP. Like he doesn't seem very strong without OD, as opposed to someone like Jin.

Responding late since I'm having a hard time getting internet at Evo.

From what I've seen and the small amount of playing it probably goes EX > CP > CS1 > CS2 > CT. CP definitely has better neutral because of the faster back dash and agito really helping with air approaches, but it doesn't really make up for losing the corner carry or the meterless combos and meterless knockdown in EX. For favorite it's probably CS2 for all the different character specific combos you had to do, which was fun. It feels like Hakumen needs OD in CP to really be strong since all his damaging combos take so much meter, so unless you kill them you won't have any meter for another real combo.

tell that to everone else, they wont believe you but you are a good player. worst youll get is a grumble.

im a bit turned off by exactly what you posted but since i dont have a name for myself my points were torn apart a long while back.

he has damage now at the loss of for better word... control and corner carry. he has great neutral but honestly id prefer EXs neutral and control over CPs. CP has mid screen knock down and cross up agito but those only get you so far.

with the agito uses from what ive seen its calmed down a bit, it went from relying on the player trying to AA you for the CH combo but now theyve almost stopped entirely. the move is really good but then its not good if im making any sense.

Its a little disheartening that he's so OD dependent. I mean yea, its almost a guaranteed 7-9k, but that's boring if that's your primary means of real damage.

My question is, is he FUN to play? I wouldn't care if he is middle-low tier, if he's a blast to play it's worth it. CS1 is one of his strongest iterations, but he wasn't as much fun to play as.

cs1 was terrible.

CT was fun as hell. cs2 was less than ct but better than cs1, csex is inbetween ct and cs2 for me. cp he probably might be but ill probably be messing with kagura~

yes he will most likely be fun (subjectively speaking)

it was required for a decent amount of what hakumen has become in cp.

if his drives remained unblockable that would cause issues with his current damage output. even then zanshin only really worked on people not paying attention and it still works on them now, so nothing too much to worry about.

2D still works as I've seen Spark do, but would it tip the scales too much to give us back 6D on 1f activation?

If you're asking if he should get the 1f activation alongside the 40% proration buff + combo-ability , than I'd say yes.

Damage or 1f start-up, pick. Having both is just too much in my opinion.

drop the bonus poration and damage by a bit then yeah thats ok.

if you mean CP 6D + 1f activation then thats kinda absurd.

I'd kind of like the option to 6D meaty overheads on wake up again, I wouldn't be too concerned with the damage I got off of it.

yukikaze is still there.

actually I am surprised to see that his drives do all have the quick tech property on them, but I guess it just prevents doing some long loops with normals, the proration is great so it still lets him get all that damage b/c it doesn't take long at all if he's got the stars..

I'd kind of like the option to 6D meaty overheads on wake up again, I wouldn't be too concerned with the damage I got off of it.

would be nice but its gone now, just block or hotaru itll get you somewhere.

yukikaze is risky as nuts ala a last resort, they use it even less in cp since ive been watching, ive mostly been seeing 5D and 2D and besides a few hakumens those arent used too often except vs high active projectiles and dumb dumb appraoches.

his star dependence is what i dont like about cp hakumen, now he NEEDS them instead of it being a choice novelty. unless ya know... you are like fall right into a high end normal near the corner for some retarded reason.

No one can determine what's "fun" for you, only you can. You can only seek the opinions of others to strengthen your own.

Spark is a better player than all of us, but I don't necessarily agree with him on the best version of Hakumen. If I remember correctly Spark even hated Hakumen's damage output in CS2. Play the game and find out for yourself if he's fun or not.

Also @SPark, I figured he'd be OD dependant, and that's what I was worried about. he has a hard time cracking into higher tier damage without OD, and when in OD, the opponent can't burst, which makes him irritating to fight against. Should the opponent be able to burst during OD, he wouldn't be hated on as much as he is now. But once, again this is just an opinion.

im sorry that wont fix ANYTHING, notice just about ever post from a non hakumen player is about his damage in almost every iteration except cs2, where everyone was saying he was balanced.

how to fix hakumen; remove all his perks, voids and supers and make his damage in the 1 shot you tier once my guage is full. problem solved?

Well no shit, but I'd still like the opinion of people who've gotten their hands on him since we're still relatively far off from a console release here, and I can't exactly travel. I wasn't asking Spark for an end all, be all answer or anything.
