Hopefully I can hop on in a bit for a few matches.

It's what I was doing haha.

I dunno, but everytime I see them hit that red circle, I'm all "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH HERE WE GOOOOO 8)"

I swear, Yukikaze and Black Hawk Stinger are the two most satisfying DDs in the game.

Anyone fight Kokonoe yet?

I fought one yesterday. Was really weird not knowing anything about the character. I only played one match against Kokonoe so far, so I can't say much. Fuumajin can help a good bit from what I have seen, though. I'll probably get with Bace later and see if he wants to test some stuff with me since he has Kokonoe.

Yeah, played her quite a bit yesterday. She feels almost identical to Rachel, imo. Very similar gameplan.

I'll be posting my thoughts in the Koko matchup thread once Mac has it up later tonight.

I need to quit failing zantetsu on this controller first. Dpads and half circles never seem to work for me.

I didn't even think of 6C > Zan. But you know you can't cancel 6C into Zan. You can only go into Shippu from it.

You had that 3C out before I could even think to do Renka after you'd blocked my Zantetsu. So it wasn't as much of an issue while we were playing.

I think it's the sfx that does it. It just sounds like it hurts a lot.

And I haven't fought any Kokonoe yet. Only "new" character I've really fought at all is Terumi and I didn't learn very much with it cause it was obv the guy was Day 1.

Also Raz, I wouldn't worry too much about not getting Zantetsu motions, I've had a bit of trouble with it actually to be honest, it feels tighter.

There was this weird situation in Extend where if you made the other Hakumen block 3C and you both went for 3C afterwards, YOU would hit him first, even though 3C was minus on block. It always blew my mind. I just chalked it up to hitstun.

It's been killing my spirit. It should be pretty routine by now, and I still run into situations where it doesn't come out when I need it too. Yesterday I started a match and had the guy in the corner, was gonna steal the round with a 3C CH Overdrive combo. 5C > OD > 5C, go for Zantetsu.....and nothing. The disappoint had to have been palpable. That and TK's turning into high jumps. Gotta work on that stuff.

The thing I have the most problem with is double quarter-quarter circle for yukikaze. I always do an empty hop forward which exactly the opposite of what you'd do in a situation where yukikaze is warranted.

Also, for Tsubaki --> hotaru ----> AD ----> OD----> j.2c combos, what is the timing for using the airdash + overdrive after hitting them with the starter? Do both the airdash and OD afterwards as quickly as possible, or is there a specific timing for hitting the j.2c?

I noticed the OD changes the trajectory of your IAD, so it definitely does matter what timing you use.

For the air dash OD's, I usually do it right after the dash starts to move. You can't try to do it as fast as possible though, or else it tends to miss.

Also, these are the moments I love best. Things people would never expect.

As for OD, I had to time Mugen so probably not.

Yeah, just tested in training mode. Not really working. I was thinking it'd be cheap as hell if we could use the invincibility to whiff an attack, and catch the remaining active frames on it with Yukikaze.
