Otherwise I just wait unitl someone uploads it on youtube. Even Sophis can be used to upload videos onto youtube for us. Not that I don't appreciate the help form you all, it's very much appreciated how you guys have been providing me with videos to make my searching and posting easier. That you all of you. That being said, sorry for taking so long with updating the thread. I'll do my best to update when I can. Alas I suffer from haku-main syndrome. Busy as hell and I'm lazy to boot. But I've done a massive re-haul on the thread. I've now made it so that all links lead directly to the time the matches for haku start. I've not only done so with all the most recent vids but the old ones as well. If you find any errors with regards to that, I didn't check all the old vids to see if they work fine, let me know. Enjoy the videos, I haven't gone through the most recent set of CS2 vids. Will try to do so in coming days. Tired as fuck right now.

qwerty Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 oh, that? i was just glad somebody finally referred to him as a good hakumen player, lol. kune and hazama are my least favorite matchups, and i think he'll agree with me. both require hakumen to fundamentally change the way he plays (kune to a much greater extent than hazama, though haz is almost as annoying for other reasons), which is why he's still struggling with them.

Hazama is really annoying to fight. You can cut chains, but that doesn't do much when Haz can disrespect you all day. Bleh. Speaking of Ara, I played vs. a good one online this weekend who put me into curse, locked me down, then Astraled. He barely had a pixel of hp left. There was 1 second left on the timer. I almost RQ'd. Fuck that guy. Also, I think Tao is on par with these two for annoying-ness. These three characters are, imo, Haku's worst matchups.

These three characters are, imo, Haku's worst matchups. i would be inclined to agree. tao is even more annoying than hazama if you're playing a tao that knows how to move. i'm sure you're all tired of hearing this by now but instant blocking is immensely important- especially against tao. every bit of meter and every bit of frame advantage counts. as i recall, dacidbro himself called it a broken mechanic. congrats vineeth! you have achieved what i was never able to, because i didn't know how to combo off of CH 4C last february.

While I'm getting used to stick still, (I'm not so free anymore) the arakune match up was pretty free for me. I find it's better to pressure him as much as possible, but hazama, it's just weird. Mainly because his close range is a lot more effective than hakumens, and his long range is the hardest to deal with, cutting chains only happens like once a match on average against a competent hazama player. I find that match up very frustrating though, GJ WJM. You're proving yourself as a solid haku, like I said being in arakune's face and intelligently cutting projectiles in the mean time. Against his curse IB>Yukikaze, nuff said, IMO. And comboing off CH 4C is depending on what you're going for. Optimal damage would be, assuming you're in relatively close range is followed by a 3c x 2, if not 6c, or hop wait for them to recover and grab immediately as they do. Thanks for the recognition nolan. I hate playing arakune especially online, because curse is actually a threat since I can't use IB>Yukikaze. Fucking annoying. QWERTY, your status should say "ARE YOU OK?" imo.

Otherwise it's just 6C or 4C again. I almost always end the match with like 8 stars, win or lose, so I might as well. I don't really know of any good Kune matchup vids either... I never really bothered to search them out since, what's the point, I might as well just start pulling out my teeth one by one with a pair of pliers instead if I'm going to play against Arakune. :P There aren't really any good Arakunes I know of to get experience against anyway, except CopperDabbit and MDK sama and Kousaka (in America). mAc Chaos Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Arrggghh, now I see why people say Tao is so safe. I played XDest and couldn't do anything at all pretty much. He could just fly around with a small life lead and force me to take risks then zip in and punish, or just fly around and bait things. But he didn't drive around randomly so he would go face first into my sword, which is usually the case, but only did so with purpose, which made it impossible to punish anything or even get an opening.
