I'm gonna wait for AmiAmi to carry this. The clowns at Play-Asia have delayed a shipment of one of my games for a month.

Doing the same.  Waiting on AmiAmi before setting down a preorder.

I'm glad that we only have to wait a few months after the announcement.  Was worried it wouldn't be until Fall.

I went with playasia for CP release but canceled the order at the last minute and just split the digital cost with a friend. Had myself in training mode about 2 hours after it hit psn. If you want it immediately, go digital. If you can wait and want a physical copy (which has it's benefits if you go to casuals) then preorder it somewhere. Personally I'm just going digital again

For anyone who needs brushing up on the games mechanics or the normals/specials for their respective characters, check out the wiki here. There aren't really many combos written down for characters. There are some combo videos but they're all from multiple version and can get confusing. And a lot of the videos don't even have annotations. Best thing I've found is picking a player who uses your characters and watch videos they appear in. And copy combos that way. As you do you'll become familiar with their normals/specials a lot faster and learn their combo theory. That always works for me anyway

This seems like a good time for it.

If anyone wants to know how UNIB was like before ExeLate kindly pass on this link to them:http://youtubedoubler.com/?video1=tCLXJCSXB0k&start1=937&video2=OPx-nUqLMtc&start2=29&authorName=UNDER+NIGHT+IN+FUCK+THIS+SHIT

Holy shit, that's disgusting. The retardedly long combos are what turned me off to the game, and that... holy shit it was an entire 60 seconds.

But this is fixed in the newer version, right? I mean, the game does look interesting, but for me to even consider it these minute long combos better be gone.

Linnifinite is dead alright. If you watch matches like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GW0XPC7eMt8 and you can see that its a lot shorter, and a lot less damage now

I still laugh at that one Linne player's name (I don't think it's the one shown here though) "Time Over".

yeah the player you're thinking of is Jikangire (Time Upper)

Out of Gordeau, Merkava, Yuzu, Linne, Hyde and Vatista, what characters can punish throws really nice with hop like moves? Thinking like Jin 6B stuff which gives you a move to dash up to bait for a throw and then gives you some way to avoid the throw (usually by being off that ground).

I believe Yuzu has a hop like move that will hop behind them and does a ball like slash, dunno if its good for throw baiting though. And i hink Vatista's spin move leaves her off the ground but im not sure. Any others (or corrections)?

its not a hop motion but you can use but yes, Vatista Dash C does become airborne.

and the yuzu hop move, ive never see it used for throw baiting, usually cause she's in a stance in neutral or is doing pressure when hop is used.

I'm pretty sure everyone can punish throws by using assault, since it has full invincibility against throws

After actually looking out for it in more matches, i see that people still do just dash neutral jump. Especially with characters that have nice downward arcs on their jump attacks, like Yuzu's jump kick.

You can't crouch tech throws, so you have to stand. If you expected a throw and they do Assault, you get a whiffed throw and a foot to the face.

So the universal mixup is poke/assault/throw.

To be honest i dont see assault used at all for throw mixup; just neutral mostly since it keeps you low to the ground and you still keep pressure if they just keep bloocking. Wouldn't assault go over their heads if they keep crouch blocking?

Some of the supers in this game look so satisfying

EDIT: actually it might be just they are using assault and it looks like a neutral jump. i'm unsure now.

So how is yuzu anyway? Is she about controlling space more than anything given the range on most of her moves.

Last I checked, Yuzuriha amazing at neutral (arguably the best). She has fast safe zoning, and can reposition herself freely with her extremely fast teleports. This is offset by very poor defense and okizeme. I think she only has generic mixup as well.

What

So you have to yomi the throw every single time by standing before reacting to the actual throw? You don't even need overheads in this game if that's the case wtf

Yea, I figured she was more about spacing. Thanks. Looking forward to learning her.
