Tachyons Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) Under vs Over 25 gonna happen at leisuareland stream. Edited January 4, 2014 by Tachyons
Sourenga Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 when's that?It was held on that same day (January 4th) on Leisureland's Twitch channel. Tournament wasn't even archived... We'll have to see if it pops up on Nico later... --- On the other news... Vatista player Roy uploaded a new combo where Seth gets devastated. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22621317 I knew they nerfed characters health for Exe:Late... but was there actually any list of the characters health in Exe:Late? Seeing the difference like this sure is shocking... In that video Seth dies after taking 8268 damage... and in the original UNI Seth's health was 12 100. Meaning, they chopped off 4000 health to make battles smoother.
Appledash- Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That's actually quite a bit of health. I'd like to see the new health data for Exe:Late to see if they just cut off 4000 for everyone, or if they did more intensive changes than that.
Rhiya Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Health may not deplete at the same rate throughout the health bar. In Melty, damage multipliers vary based on how much health you're at when you start taking damage
Sourenga Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The 2nd high ranking Waldstein player, Gashi-san, posted a new combo movie. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22648023 These 400 meter using neta combos are always so hilarious...
Sourenga Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Merkava player "R.N. Ryuusei" posted a new combo movie with lots of good basic combos. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22689849
Betto Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Merkava player "R.N. Ryuusei" posted a new combo movie with lots of good basic combos. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22689849 That "combo" with three footdives in a row... hilarious.
Kaori Manabe Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 shout outs to the dope matchvid database
Syklone Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 So I'm kinda new to UniB. Okay now who's the best character and why is it Yuzuriha? Not really she's just best girl. Jokes aside I'm assuming Merkava or Hilda to be up pretty high?
caiooa Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) the closer to concrete info we can get http://sp.uniapm.info/diagram_view.php http://sp.uniapm.info/usage_rate_view.php those are a little more reliable now that the game is stable for some months , but as people discover new tech it can changes around a lot Edited January 18, 2014 by caiooa
Sourenga Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Jokes aside I'm assuming Hilda to be up pretty high? People don't put Hilda that high because she's missing reversal moves and stuff... She also has lots of trouble with rushdown characters, like Linne and Carmine... Here's a pretty random tier list picked from Japanese BBS. S: Merkava, Gordeau S-: Yuzuriha, Vatista A: Linne, Eltnum, Carmine B: Hilda, Waldstein, Seth, Orie C: Akatsuki, Chaos Merkava and Gordeau are on the top tier because they pretty much have everything. Most of the characters on the lower tiers either don't do enough damage or have enough health.
Putin Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 So Carmine did indeed drop because he does less damage for the same amount of HP? I wouldn't say I follow the game fervently atm, but he seems pretty much the same with lower damage
Star-Demon Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) What the hell is S, S-, and A supposed to mean in this chart? lol Merkava is pretty strong considering how early he was figured out and how easy it is to actually just do things and they work for him. I think this makes him more like Noel than Arakune, though, if you know what I mean. Everything works. It just works and that's really nice with him. His movement is so key, and when that doesn't work hit buttons or mash super. Vatista being so top doesn't make as much sense in this version, even though some of her new stuff can be scary. I'd put her in A. Yuzuriha, when played correctly, deserves a high spot, but when I think of how difficult and limited she can be in actual matches to make her game work for her, I can't score her high because no one gets the chance to get used to the player in japan. Most Yuzuriha's I've watched are mostly nothing but nonsense with like two combos. She doesn't even get a solid KD off combo anymore! You combo with her and they air tech. I haven't seen any Yuzurihas develop any really good air tech shenanigans. Carmine is ridiculously good. If he has weaknesses that betray the matches we've been watching where he dominates the entire tourney like everyone were babies, please explain that to me so I know. Carmine is hella stupid right now. Here, lemme fix this a little bit: Star-Demon tier list from Dustloop Jan 18th, 2014: S: Carmine, Gordeau. A: Merkava, Hilda, Linne, Yuzuriha, Vatista, Hyde, Eltnum. B: Waldstien, Orie C: Atatsuki, Chaos (these two need more playing. I have a hard time believing Akatsuki is not good) Can someone tell me which of the tourneys abelcru uploads are the best in Japan? I'd go back over those since I'm tired of tourneys where people are new to the game. Edited January 18, 2014 by Star-Demon
Fistmaster049 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) I may sound utterly stupid but I gotta ask Why isn't Hyde on either of those lists? Edited January 18, 2014 by Fistmaster049
Star-Demon Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Hah! Everyone forgets about the MC, I guess. I think Hyde is a good character. I'd put him at High b or low A, which I'll do right now.
caiooa Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Carmine is ridiculously good. If he has weaknesses that betray the matches we've been watching where he dominates the entire tourney like everyone were babies, please explain that to me so I know. Carmine is hella stupid right now. http://sp.uniapm.info/diagram_view.php in the bottom, select カーマイン to see his matchups. Bad matchup against gordeau, walldestein and merkava, neutral matchups against batista and hilda. My guess is: those chars have reversals good enought to challenge carmine's oki. Some of those have reversals that change the momentum, even in trade. So he have to start bait things, it isn't so easy...if a player is dominating even against those chars, it's because of his skill, not the carmine. Obs: by the official data (http://sp.uniapm.info/diagram_view.php), the chart stay like this gordeau (75.3), walldestein (73.5) batista (69.5), merkava (68.6), hilda (68.4), linne (67.9), carmine (67.6), sion (66.2), hyde (64.9), orie (64.6) yuzuhira (59.9), seth (58.1), akatsuki (58), chaos (47.5)
Sourenga Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 What the hell is S, S-, and A supposed to mean in this chart? lol Geez... Well, my apologies for simply copy-pasting things straight from BBS... I said it's Japanese so it obviously won't work with the dumb Western standards of tier list. Carmine is hella stupid right now. This. But at least his terrifying okizeme got some nerfs thanks to the system changes... (I have a hard time believing Akatsuki is not good) He is not good. He has even harder time with zoners than Waldstein, because Akatsuki doesn't have any reach or good reversals. Can someone tell me which of the tourneys abelcru uploads are the best in Japan? I'd go back over those since I'm tired of tourneys where people are new to the game. That's a problem you can't really be helped with... Most of the videos come from the arcades around Tokyo area, so the players are same people no matter which tournament it is. There's so many guys on the Top 100 RIP Ranking who even I have never seen playing in a tournament, because they play in some faraway arcade which doesn't upload videos...
Syklone Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Sourenga, do you really believe Uni will get a console release??
Sourenga Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I've kept believing for two years that it's just a matter of time before it releases... There's just two weeks until French Bread's Ustream... It'll pretty much tell us if the console port is coming early this year or later this year.

I'm surprised that Vatista isn't a S tier, you know, French Bread loves to put lolis as their symbol of overpowerness.
caiooa Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) really high level footage in the last videos from Ōmiya Space (saitama), with lot of top players. n°3 and 2 orie (ROW), n°11, 9 , 8 and 5 hyde, n°2 linne, n° 5 gordeau, n°2 and 3 chaos, n°1 seth, n°2 walldestein, n°1 sion (senaru-san), n°3 vatista and n°1 yuzuhira http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22691280 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22691454 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22691626 Just posting because it goes under the radar sometimes...they don't use the tag アンダーナイト インヴァース when uploading the video in nico like other arcades, but just UNIEL and UNDER_NIGHT_IN-BIRTH Edited January 18, 2014 by caiooa
