My bad, the scythes don't make use of pools, they just leave them. the nu/lambda-ish spinning wheel/waves use pools, and that's the only way you can get them out.

Yup, I'm not going to unthink that Orie is Mitsuru anytime soon. Is that spirit used only as a super?

All that's missing is ice magic and red hair to complete the illusion lol.

I love everyone in this build except Waldstein. He looks like an arm flailing tubeman.

I'm surpised Gordeau is growing on me though. I always thought giant weapons were retarded.

monkeyclobberingindestructiblearmflailingtubeman?

Yes indeed! That would be his nickname to me except it's a mouthful.

Anyone notice that the color palettes have names in this game? Example: Gordeau's black color is called "Baron of Night" while his green one is called "Bamboo Scythe".

I like that small touch.

He even has "Vampire and Alcohol." lolwhat xD

So that little RC Linne does, apparently it gives her more meter. Does she literally rely on meter or something? Cuz I noticed that one of her air dashes cost meter.

I wonder if Carmine has a way to heal himself? I doubt it though since that could be ridiculous in the grand scheme of things.

His throw steals health and uses it to heal him. Outside of that, doesn't look like it.

Everyone's airdash costs meter in this game. Normal air movement is limited to just double jumping; the Assault mechanic stands in for airdashing/super jumping forward.

i'm calling dibs on vampire and alcohol, you all see it here.

dibs, hands off bitches

You can keep it, I'd rather have "Thunderbird" and "Lancelot du Lac" anyway.

Seems like GRD can actually go over your half of the gauge, which leaves your opponent with less room to build their GRD. And, as can be seen in that Ori-Lyn match, that can become an overwhelming advantage. Which leads me to thinking about the ways to get out of this situation. Seems like attacking the opponent doesn't reduce their GRD by a whole lot, maybe getting rid of about 1 whole primer with a good combo. And the opponent themselves may just decide not to spend it on anything - sure, it limits their options, but the attack and defense advantage is usually worth it. So, unless I'm missing something, I'm guessing that there are better ways of destroying the enemy GRD. That, or I'm just overestimating the power of GRD.

About the palettes: I like how even the regular palettes have names, and not just called "Default" or something.

Gordeau's c-grab (the one shown in this pic) seems to steal one GRD from the opponent and add it to Gordeau's side. Considering that he seems to be able to combo into it from long range thanks to the scythe pull in move and gives a hard knockdown with them right next to you, it seems like a go-to combo finisher; especially if GRD plays a really big influence on the match.

Thanks to LoliSauce from Melty Bread for the tip.

Orie we seen a lot of in videos. Honestly thought she was going to have more doll use but it's not looking like that unless people just aren't using all her moves. Vatista and Yuzuriha we haven't seen vids for yet.

Anyone know what the meter in-between the gauges are and what they do

The Grid or GRD. Enhances attack/defense the more you have. Some attacks can steal it from the opponent as Sahgren mentioned earlier.

In general, it builds very slowly over time and from hitting the opponent. Conversely, getting hit loses you GRD. It's possible to go onto the opponent's side of the GRD meter, but it'll drains over time and you lose more of it from getting hit until you're back to the midway point.

tbh this GRD gauge seems that could end as an interesting idea that can end wrong, like the guard libra, its something that can be a potential factor on determining who are the stronger characters, by the simple fact that those who can abuse it better could end with the upper hand, this of course depending on how they implement it

These two characters (along with Merkava and Seth) do not appear to be playable in the current build of the game, for whatever reason. Their portraits are grayed out on the character select screen.

While I can't pick my waifu here, I say fuck French Bread :v:

Kinda pointless: between Waifus Heart 3's and this game's announcers, I dunno who says the most weird / bullshit / pointless phrases. The "Divide" thing... well, divide what? :vbang:
