SolxBaiken Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 All machines are glorified PCs And IIRC there was never a PC version of Actress Again until Current Code v1.07 (4 revisions later, and only as apart of a huge bundle to bolster sales of other properties) and Act Cadenza saw release on the PS2 first before the PC (nearly a year later), pre-AC they were a doujin circle so releasing on PC was only natural, but since hitting the major market of arcades their consumer designs have slowly been changing, although still sporadic. Hence I referenced them to Examu not because of their lack of consumer dedication but their focus on arcades sales. AA for the PS2 ran less than favorably and the PC ver of CC can still give issues to some users, "poverty" has changed, and if they want to compete with other consumer fighters continued late releases on PCs isn't going to cut it, especially when you consider the higher piracy rate (especially from import users). I'm not saying that a PC port won't happen, but it will be better for everyone if it doesn't (or at least that they follow their practice of doing it 2nd hand---but now with modern consoles they don't have to gimp console owners with outdated vers) Why are you always picking fights with me ' ^' Anyways, is it just me or is Gordeau's scythe moves safe on block? And based on his match videos it looks like that ia-justu girl is going to give him a hard time due to her range, since gordeau's range only comes from his scythe moves. That's my 2 cents on the localizing matter. Grim Reaper does indeed look pretty safe on block D:
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Im only saying that the possibility of a PC release considering the previous releases of FB is very highly, specially because is more easy for them to port on pc than consoles, but im also aware that FB has said that they want to take in account their international fanbase, and that want to have one of their games at evo, and for that a ps3/360 release is mandatory. This is great to hear, I've only been looking at this from a purely marketing stand point. I need Gordeau. Why are you always picking fights with me ' ^' Is this directed towards me? Grim Reaper does indeed look pretty safe on block D: he would be shit if scythe moves weren't safe since, without them he has absolutely no range. i was surprised to see his reversal was safe as well, and he looks like he has an aerial reversal as well that's safe, "dama seru kai?". With the whole command grab taking away your opponent's grd, it sounds like he's centered around dealing immense damage. That 5k combo he pulled off left me with a hard on.
SolxBaiken Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Is this directed towards me? Nah, lol And yeah I know he needs safe moves, but at point blank D: Yeah Gordeau hits like a truck, he gets such high damage of the simplest things and is flashy as crap if he remains like this, Americans will love him :>
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I'm trying to understand the use of him slamming the scythe down upside down, my only guess is that it's a frame trap that leads into nice damage if the opponent presses buttons since it's not an overhead. Seth looks cheap :3 I heard his health is ass thuogh. Is Chipp, Baiken, Ragna, or Valkenhayn health? And his orbs seems to go away if he blocks anything
xlolxlolx Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) seth cheap? looks kinda on the weak side to me :o and kaji's taking too man roles......fucking nigger stole ky adol christin for y's vita :[ Edited September 1, 2012 by xlolxlolx
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 those set ups for his command grabs are cheap bro
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 You didn't notice one air to ground command grab and one ground command grab.
xlolxlolx Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 dont rmb seeing a air to ground command grab ;o i only rmb seeing air to ground tp slash thing
Isuna Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I guess I'll join up here, as I in fact was to the loketest. : p As BBCP seems to turn out pretty terrible in my honest opinion, I am much more hyped for this game right now.
F. Wily Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 As BBCP seems to turn out pretty terrible in my honest opinion, I am much more hyped for this game right now. As a bit of an aside, what are your impressions with BBCP?
Isuna Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Well, there have been much talk in the Hakumen discussion about it, but it seems like they are trying to make the characters less unique and make everyone play the same way. Hakumen's Zanshin is close to unusable now, which really was one of those things that made him unique. Someone said that they are trying to make Hakumen and Arakune less polarized, by making having no special gauge stronger and having max special gauge weaker. Once again, making them less unique and more like Ragna. They have removed Hakumens air dash combo, so now he jump cancels like everyone else. Even though Tager looks quite stable during the loketests, I think the fact he is supposed to do air combos now is just wrong by design. And the combos looks too short I think. And I didn't mind the slower pace of BlazBlue compared to other games, I am by no means a good player and now I have to hitconfirm stuff in half the time? Wasn't BB supposed to be a newbie-friendly GG? On the other hand UN, as it is its first installment is still true to is orignal. I haven't played Melty Blood, so I don't know what people think about the differences but. It got shorter combos, just like CP is trying to go now. It is faster paced, just like CP is trying to go now. And I guess I could push my luck and say that characters are more like each other than in BB, but that is also the way CP is going. So why play CP when you can play the "original"? As I am simple guy, I will do like 90% of the Japanese players and play Yuzuriha. She got Hakumens sword sheathed, is very good looking girl and has an interesting system. So it was kind of a no-brainer for me.
TheTZA Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Idk about everythng else... but Yuzu WILL be the most used. Watch.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) On the Japanese channel for thsi game, she has the most views in her intro video, followed by Seth. Though the viewing gap between Yuzu and Seth is like 2k difference lol. So you're probably right, why you laughing so hard heca? EDIT: My bad Yuzu has the most (11k views) followed by Gordeau (9k views) and then Seth (7k views). I don't know what everyone loves so much about Yuzu besides her iai-justu techniques lol. Isuna Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Well, she has boobs, which neither Gordeau or Seth has. : p
Button Masher Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Nah...most used will be Hyde, the main character. That's usually customary.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 True, but I think Yuzu will be used a lot, at least at the beginning unless she sucks lol
Starlight777 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Seth is going to be mad overplayed. He'll be up there with Gordeau in the "League of overplayed badasses wearing trenchcoats."
Isuna Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 The hours I spent on the loketest 80% of the matches conatined Yuzuriha. : P Just sayin'. She is the only character with special guage(?) which makes her interesting enough. And you can't argue with boobies.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 He'll be up there with Gordeau in the "League of overplayed badasses wearing trenchcoats." This made me laugh, I want to sig it as well. The hours I spent on the loketest 80% of the matches conatined Yuzuriha. : P Just sayin'. She is the only character with special guage(?) which makes her interesting enough. And you can't argue with boobies. Could someone explain those gauges?
Agni Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 He'll be up there with Gordeau in the "League of overplayed badasses wearing trenchcoats." I'm playing him because he's hawt and has a cool playstyle...>_>

Not that it really matters, but I think the Gordeau vid you considered wasn't part of the same batch. It's actually 1. Yuzu 2. Seth 3. Vatista The fact that she was first to be uploaded probably helped too.
