Anyone else think this game feels very....satisfying to watch? There's something about the foley, the hit sparks, and the overal flow/asthetics of the game that makes it quite the looker.

I just like watching Hyde because it's so interesting that someone thought it was a good idea to give him such a diverse and rich moveset lol

Because Beat from Melty Blood is Aoko's stage theme? Sion already got three themes of her own (if you include Dust of Osiris), no reason for her to take the others.

But it was the opening for the original game, so if they were going to remix an OP, I would've liked to seen Beat from Melty Blood instead

and I just really like that song and would've liked to see Aoko

ah the infamous power couch. l always loved characters who could sit down in the middle of a fight. as if their opponent was some innocent child.

I like the start of it, but the end is meh. I wish most of the finishers didn't end with the opponent falling from the sky.

I think thats because the IK can be done in any round.

Because they require a full meter Veil Off which is incredibly slow and avoidable.

I still think her 200% super looks better imo :(

That should have been her IK instead especially with that laugh she was doing lol

They can. The enemy has to be lower than 30% health at the beginning of the combo if I recall correctly for the IK to activate on the 200% veil off.

Doesn't the Veil Off burst need to connect (hit or block) in order to input the command?

Also I know the move is called "In The Darkness" but it sounds like she says "Major Darkness" :v: though all of her moves have very simplistic names v.v still I didn't think it looked bad, better than most IMO (though I find a majority of them pretty "ok")

It does need to hit, and from the movelist I think the burst itself activates the instant kill.

And yeah she definitely has significantly less health than other characters.

Just arguing semantics here, but from what I've been watching of damage/character health, it appears that everyone has roughly/exactly the same health total of 12-13k. I haven't been watching each and every video, but from what I've seen, it looks like characters have different defense values instead.

tl;dr - I think Hilda takes more damage, but has the same 'health number' as everyone else.

Edit - Watching Abelcru's 'Hilda vs 2 Hydes' video seems to support the theory a bit; in the second match, second round (timestamp is 4:35-5:35), Hilda takes damage as follows:

Adding up to 11587, and leaving her with a little over a sliver of health.

Also, on an aside, how exactly does GRD gauge growth work? I initially thought it was something like CT's Guard Libra (luckily it's not), but now that I've watched that set, I find it even more confusing.

Using the 'Hilda vs 2 Hydes' video again, at about 6:20, the Hyde player starts pressuring Hilda in the corner, and although she's just blocking, by the end of his extended blockstring, she's literally taken the ENTIRE GRD bar for herself. I guess GRD growth isn't tied to being aggressive like, say, Emotion High in AquaPazza?

So far, I know Carmine's able to combo into his (in the corner) because of the nice hitstun his spinning wheel attack gives.

Seth's might be possible but it looks like he needs a strict timing in order to pull it off...

etc etc Overall, you just need an attack that locks the opponent in hitstun or something like Carmine's wheel to pull off an IK mid-combo
