Kurushii Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 btw... is the stream freezing for some1? I want to know if its the stream or my connection is being ass right now. The video seems almost at the right frame rate. The audio though is lagging bad.
JokerAceX Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 btw... is the stream freezing for some1? I want to know if its the stream or my connection is being ass right now. no it isnt lagging but sound is choppy...and is the person on the cab going to fight another person or just the cpu.
Chaoschao222 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I really like how Hilda's asymmetric clothing is shown when she switches sides. Dunno if that sorta thing is common in FGs since I don't pay attention, but it's hard not to notice with the stark difference of black and white, it's nice~

Kurushii Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 and is the person on the cab going to fight another person or just the cpu. Fighting CPU, look at the top. Has "Insert Coins" on P1 side, and says what stage they are on in arcade mode. I really like the style of Hilda's normals. Really getting that Mu + Nu vibe.
Abelcru Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) So my 20mb connection freezes, but my 5mb goes smoothly. The sound is always choppy. If u use Internet Explorer, it fixes it, but not today. And yea, the change of the colors of the dress, is a nice touch, show how much care they took with the game. This stream is just some1 recording the screen of a public cabinet. So we wait until other person decides to spend some coins. Edited October 30, 2012 by Abelcru
Elochai Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Veil off is kinda like a burst, as well as allowing you to use as much meter as you want until the gauge hits 0%.

Dunno if that sorta thing is common in FGs since I don't pay attention, but it's hard not to notice with the stark difference of black and white, it's nice~ That's usually the primary purpose of asymmetrical designs, the most prominent of which is Street Fighter III's Gil, who not only switched colors but also his projectiles would change from flames or ice depending on the side he was on :D now that was a cool effect, too bad Hilda doesn't have such a thing... MAJOR DARKNESS!!! your right that is a nice touch most FG's the animators just mirror image the sprites on p2's side from p1. It's ALOT easier to simply switch colors rather than stances for 2D sprites, since changing everything for their appropriate sides requires completely redrawing each character for both sides. While this would be insanely cool to see, it would also be insanely costly and time consuming. Of course 3D models on a 2D plane have it much easier :X

SolxBaiken Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 even with 3d models games like street fighter IV and marvel vs capcom 3 still don't take the extra effort when making everything look appropriate for both sides. random Sagat vs Evil Ryu The "effort" is very minimal since you're making a fully 3D model and aren't required to specifically draw only what's shown to the screen, the only time you'll see when a model is mirrored will be due to things that would otherwise obscure clarity (ie. if I had a character with a sword in their left hand and their face and chest were dilberately facing the screen, if you don't mirror such a stance you then obscure the clarity of attacks because now their back is facing the screen and has the potential to mask attacks like say a jab with the right hand. Despite 3D models being used only 1/2 of the model is actually active because of the 2D plane, this isn't an issue in fighters on a 3D plane because the entire atmostsphere and model is used) So it's not that they aren't making an effort, they're just ensuring a consistent experience given the medium. But I digress, MAJOR DARKNESS!!!

Betto Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 what exactly does veil off do? Other than being a burst and providing unlimited meter for a bit, it knocks the opponent off of their GRD Vorpal if they are in that state.
Abelcru Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) Some1 doing Vatista Arcade mode and letting the characters talk!? Shame the sound sux. Its not anime if the MC doesn't get the Loli into his house. Edited October 30, 2012 by Abelcru
