Steb Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Wtf, the power at my house goes out for 6 hours and there's like 10 pages of new posts. Who's planning on going to T12? I'd want to go if there's space.
kr3wman Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 (edited) rhannmah gets it. Wtf, the power at my house goes out for 6 hours and there's like 10 pages of new posts. it's a perk of living in pointe-aux-trembles. you dodge that shit clean! Edited August 28, 2011 by kr3wman
Nini Heart Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Well, freddy loco is in top 8. Even from here, I still contributed to MTL. But yeah, I would have deffo made it to top 8 at WORST, i'm a bit jelly.
Bibiquadium Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Well, let's just hope Hurricane Rachel won't strike next year and give it an other shot.
Sophisticat Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 my grammar is sophisticated, can't roll blunts, and read books. sophisticated grammar sophisticated I must be real sophisticated. You guys do me proud. I raised ya good. Keep the Sophistication flame alive, MTL thrives on it! :')
kr3wman Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 But yeah, I would have deffo made it to top 8 at WORST, i'm a bit jelly. top 8 in ae? damn you're pretty good. Renato would have won tho.
pochp Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I'm not exactly sure what we'll do for T12 yet, unless I'm mistaken we're more than 5 that are interested in going. I haven't seen any interest from anyone else with a driver's license and access to a car, and I think you have to be like 25 or older to rent a vehicle (like a van) so we'll need to plan this one out more than the previous trips. INTEREST CHECK FOR T12, TORONTO TOURNAMENT SEPT 24-25 also let me know if you have a driver's license and access to a car.

kaeru Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 @Steb, do you know when you will be at next meetup? i need to compare the red of your case to a few things. Going to order your stuff from japan and i want to make sure of the colors and options. Let me know please ! and don't forget to bring your case.
Nini Heart Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Kaeru, do you know if it's possible to dualmod a wired 360 controller?
kaeru Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) It's possible yes. It is in in no way shape or form easy. Very complex cause there's very little room inside, but one could potentially make a project box that you could plug it into to make it work on other systems (would look similar to a converter). If you're serious about it i will give it some hardcore thought and we could try it. Edit: My biggest worry will be the trigger buttons. Not all controllers will work, i have to do some checking on it to make sure it would be okay. Also the analogues will not work, needs to be mentioned can i see the controller you have in mind? Gamestop made some old wired xbox controllers that were good for this. Edited August 29, 2011 by kaeru
Nini Heart Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Just wanna mod the regular Microsoft x360 controller. It sounds hella complicated though
kaeru Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 It might not work on that one, might have to use a third party xbox controller. And i'd have to hack the trigger buttons to not be analogue. Also Analogue joysticks will not work on anything other then xbox. I'll try to find the kind of xbox contorller i know will work. It's too bad you didnt like the MadCatz FightPad, those things are really easy to padhack.
kaeru Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 let me ask this way, what kind of budget would you be willing to invest into making an Xbox360 pad work on ps3 ? it might be around 100$ for me to buy the parts and build the project box, give or take a bit. And it's possible to run into complications. I'm willing to do the research if you're serious though !
Nini Heart Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Umm 100$ -/+. But if it doesn't work on the original MS controller, then it's simpler for me to learn the PS3 pad.
Steb Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Maybe you should try a PS2 pad? For some reason, I have problems doing quarter circles on PS3 pads too.
Nini Heart Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I was actually telling kirbster the same thing, the ps2 pad feels better rto me, I don't have any problems playing GG.
kaeru Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 It will work on an xbox controller like this one http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/lbox/802180b.jpg. It's not from MS, it's from gamestop. I need to check on SRK for the exact model that is foolproof. Or maybe i will think of something completely different.. I've got an other idea that would work with absolutely any controller but im not sure yet. If it works, it also means we could have wired PS pads that work on xbox with same project box.
kirbster Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Dude, I got a PS2 to PS3 converter lying somewhere in my boxes, I'll look for it if you wanna try it.
Dai_Loli Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I can't find the actual news about it, but Francis told me about a 3rd party company making a hybrid Ps3/Xbox controller that would supposedly work on both consoles, allowing some sort of interchangeable D-Pad that emulates either X-box or PS3 configuration. Anyone else heard about this?
